ʿAli ؓ wiped his head in wudooʿ until it was about to start dripping, and he said: This is how I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ do wudoo’.  

أحمد:٨٧٣ – حَدَّثَنَا مَرْوَانُ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ الْفَزَارِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا رَبِيعَةُ بْنُ عُتْبَةَ الْكِنَانِيُّ عَنْ الْمِنْهَالِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو عَنْ زِرِّ بْنِ حُبَيْشٍ قَالَ

مَسَحَ عَلِيٌّ رَأْسَهُ فِي الْوُضُوءِ حَتَّى أَرَادَ أَنْ يَقْطُرَ وَقَالَ هَكَذَا رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَتَوَضَّأُ
