[Machine] The first charity in Islam was the charity of Umar, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to him, "Hold onto its trunk and distribute its fruits."  

أحمد:٦٤٦٠حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ عَنْ نَافِعٍعَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ

أَوَّلُ صَدَقَةٍ كَانَتْ فِي الْإِسْلَامِ صَدَقَةُ عُمَرَ فَقَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ احْبِسْ أُصُولَهَا وَسَبِّلْ ثَمَرَتَهَا
