[Machine] He informed him and said, "We went out with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in a funeral. When we returned, we met a caller of a woman from Quraysh who said, 'O Messenger of Allah, Fulanah invites you and those with you to a meal.' So we went with him, and we sat in the company of the young boys from their fathers, in front of them. Then the food was brought, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ placed his hand and the people placed their hands. The people noticed, while he was chewing his morsel, that he did not complete it, so they raised their hands and ignored us. Then they mentioned it, and they held our hands, and a man struck the morsel with his hand until it fell. Then they held our hands and watched what the Messenger of Allah ﷺ would do. He spat it out and said, 'I find the meat of a sheep that was taken without the permission of its owners.' So the woman stood up and said, 'O Messenger of Allah, it was in my mind to gather you and those with you for a meal. So I sent to al-Baqi' but I did not find a sheep to buy. 'Amir ibn Abi Waqqas had bought a sheep yesterday from al-Baqi', so I sent to him to fetch me a sheep from al-Baqi'. But the Messenger of Allah did not find it, and its owners found it, so they gave it to my messenger who gave it to me.' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Feed it to the prisoners.'  

أَخْبَرَهُ قَالَ خَرَجْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فِي جِنَازَةٍ فَلَمَّا رَجَعْنَا لَقِيَنَا دَاعِي امْرَأَةٍ مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنَّ فُلَانَةً تَدْعُوكَ وَمَنْ مَعَكَ إِلَى طَعَامٍ فَانْصَرَفَ فَانْصَرَفْنَا مَعَهُ فَجَلَسْنَا مَجَالِسَ الْغِلْمَانِ مِنْ آبَائِهِمْ بَيْنَ أَيْدِيهِمْ ثُمَّ جِيءَ بِالطَّعَامِ فَوَضَعَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَدَهُ وَوَضَعَ الْقَوْمُ أَيْدِيَهُمْ فَفَطِنَ لَهُ الْقَوْمُ وَهُوَ يَلُوكُ لُقْمَتَهُ لَا يُجِيزُهَا فَرَفَعُوا أَيْدِيَهُمْ وَغَفَلُوا عَنَّا ثُمَّ ذَكَرُوا فَأَخَذُوا بِأَيْدِينَا فَجَعَلَ الرَّجُلُ يَضْرِبُ اللُّقْمَةَ بِيَدِهِ حَتَّى تَسْقُطَ ثُمَّ أَمْسَكُوا بِأَيْدِينَا يَنْظُرُونَ مَا يَصْنَعُ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَلَفَظَهَا فَأَلْقَاهَا فَقَالَ أَجِدُ لَحْمَ شَاةٍ أُخِذَتْ بِغَيْرِ إِذْنِ أَهْلِهَا فَقَامَتِ الْمَرْأَةُ فَقَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنَّهُ كَانَ فِي نَفْسِي أَنْ أَجْمَعَكَ وَمَنْ مَعَكَ عَلَى طَعَامٍ فَأَرْسَلْتُ إِلَى الْبَقِيعِ فَلَمْ أَجِدْ شَاةً تُبَاعُ وَكَانَ عَامِرُ بْنُ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ ابْتَاعَ شَاةً أَمْسِ مِنَ الْبَقِيعِ فَأَرْسَلْتُ إِلَيْهِ أَنْ ابْتُغِيَ لِي شَاةً فِي الْبَقِيعِ فَلَمْ تُوجَدْ فَذُكِرَ لِي أَنَّكَ اشْتَرَيْتَ شَاةً فَأَرْسِلْ بِهَا إِلَيَّ فَلَمْيَجِدْهُ الرَّسُولُ وَوَجَدَ أَهْلَهُ فَدَفَعُوهَا إِلَى رَسُولِي فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَطْعِمُوهَا الْأُسَارَى
