[Machine] I heard Anas ibn Malik say: It was said, "O Messenger of Allah, has so-and-so, your companion, been martyred?" He said, "No, I saw him wearing a cloak that had a mark on it on such and such a day."

أحمد:١٢٨٥٣ – حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا الْحَكَمُ بْنُ عَطِيَّةَ عَنْ أَبِي الْمَخِيسِ الْيَشْكُرِيِّ قَالَ

سَمِعْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ يَقُولُ قِيلَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ قَدِ اسْتُشْهِدَ مَوْلَاكَ فُلَانٌ؟ قَالَ كَلَّا إِنِّي رَأَيْتُ عَلَيْهِ عَبَاءَةً غَلَّهَا يَوْمَ كَذَا وَكَذَا
