It was narrated that ‘Ali ؓ said. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prayed Duha when the sun was as high in the east as it is in the west at the time of ‘Asr prayer.  

أحمد:١٢٥٢ – حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ حَدَّثَنَا الْمُحَارِبِيُّ عَنْ فُضَيْلِ بْنِ مَرْزُوقٍ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ ضَمْرَةَ عَنْ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ

صَلَّى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ الضُّحَى حِينَ كَانَتِ الشَّمْسُ مِنَ المَشْرِقِ فِي مَكَانِهَا مِنَ المَغْرِبِ صَلاةَ الْعَصْرِ
