ahmad:13794ʿAbd al-Ṣamad b. Ḥassān > ʿUmārah / Ibn Zādhān > Thābit > Anas

The angel of Rain sought permission from the Prophet ﷺ to come, and he was granted permission. He ﷺ said to Umm Salamah, "Guard the door for no one should enter." Then, al-Ḥusayn b. ʿAlī came and leaped until he entered inside. He began to climb upon the Prophet's shoulder, and the angel asked him, "Do you love him?" He ﷺ said, "Yes." The angel then told him, "Your Ummah will kill him. If you wish, I can show you the place where he will be killed." The ˹narrator˺ said that ˹the angel˺ struck with his hand and showed him red soil. Umm Salamah then took that soil and wrapped it in the edge of her garment. The ˹narrator˺ said that "We heard of him being killed in Karbalāʾ."
