[Machine] The prayer for the last evening was established on a night, and a man said, "O Messenger of Allah, I have a need." So he stood up and conversed with him until some of the people or some of them fell asleep, then he prayed and did not mention ablution.  

أحمد:١٣٨٣٢حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا ثَابِتٌ عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ

أُقِيمَتِ الصَّلَاةُ لِلْعِشَاءِ الْآخِرَةِ ذَاتَ لَيْلَةٍ فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ لِي حَاجَةٌ فَقَامَ يُنَاجِيهِ حَتَّى نَعَسَ الْقَوْمُ أَوْ بَعْضُ الْقَوْمِ ثُمَّ صَلَّى وَلَمْ يَذْكُرْ وُضُوءًا

(The people) stood up for the night prayer when a man spoke forth: I need to say something. The Apostle of Allah ﷺ entered into secret conversation with him, till the people dozed off or some of the people (dozed off), and then they said the prayer.

abudawud:201Mūsá b. Ismāʿīl And Dāwd b. Shabīb > Ḥammād b. Salamah > Thābit al-Bunānī > Anas b. Mālik > Uqīmat Ṣalāh al-ʿIshāʾ Faqām a man

(The people) stood up for the night prayer and a man stood up and spoke forth: Messenger of Allah, I have to say something to you. He (the Prophet) entered into secret conversation with him, till the people or some of the people dozed off, ad then he led them in prayer. He (Thabit al-Bunani) did not mention ablution.  

أبو داود:٢٠١حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ وَدَاوُدُ بْنُ شَبِيبٍ قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ ثَابِتٍ الْبُنَانِيِّ أَنَّ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ قَالَ أُقِيمَتْ صَلاَةُ الْعِشَاءِ فَقَامَ رَجُلٌ فَقَالَ

يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّ لِي حَاجَةً فَقَامَ يُنَاجِيهِ حَتَّى نَعَسَ الْقَوْمُ أَوْ بَعْضُ الْقَوْمِ ثُمَّ صَلَّى بِهِمْ وَلَمْ يَذْكُرْ وُضُوءًا

"The Hereafter appeared to have a pleasant night. A man stood up and said, 'O Messenger of Allah, I have a need to discuss with you.' So, the Prophet stood up with him and they conversed until the people fell asleep, or some of the people said. Then, he prayed without mentioning ablution."
