[Machine] "Abdullah, I witnessed from Al-Miqdad that Abu Nu'aim ibn Al-Aswad said: 'To be his companion is more beloved to me than being adorned with gold. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came while supplicating against the polytheists. So he (Abu Nu'aim) said: 'By Allah, O Messenger of Allah, we do not say as the Children of Israel said to Moses, 'Go, you and your Lord, and fight. Indeed, we are here sitting.' (Quran 5:24) But rather, we fight on your right and on your left, and from the front and the back.' So I saw the face of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ lighten up and he was pleased with that. Aswad said: 'I saw the face of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ lighten up and he was pleased with that.' Abu Nu'aim said: 'I saw the face of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ lighten up and he was pleased with that.'"

0 Allah, enable me to derive benefit from my husband, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and from my father Abu Sufyan and from my brother Mu'awiya. Allah's Apostle ﷺ said: You have asked from Allah about durations of life already set, and the length of days already allotted and the sustenances the share of which has been fixed. Allah would not do anything earlier before its due time, or He would not delay anything beyond its due time. And if you were to ask Allah to provide you refuge from the torment of the HellFire, or from the torment of the grave, it would have good in store for you and better for you also. He (the narrator) further said: Mention was made before him about monkeys, and Mis'ar (one of the narrators) said: I think that (the narrator) also (made a mention) of the swine, which had suffered metamorphosis. Thereupon he (the Holy Prophet) said: Verily, Allah did not cause the race of those which suffered metamorphosis to grow or they were not survived by young ones. Monkeys and swine had been in existence even before (the metamorphosis of the human beings). (Using translation from Muslim 2663b)

[Machine] That a group of people came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "We have a friend who complains of sickness. Can you heal him?" The Prophet remained silent, then they asked again, "Can you heal him?" He remained silent, then he said, "Place your hand on the affected area and recite the following prayers."

[Machine] We used to accompany the Prophet ﷺ in battles while we were young men and we did not have any wives. So, we asked, "O Messenger of Allah, should we not get ourselves castrated?" He forbade us from doing so.

[Machine] On the authority of the Prophet ﷺ , he said: "The lifespan of Islam revolves around thirty-five years, or thirty-six years, or thirty-seven years. If they perish, then the way of those who perished will be followed. But if they remain, their religion will last for seventy years."

[Machine] Abdullah was where the son of the weaver was killed. Indeed, both he and Ibn Uthayl came to the Prophet ﷺ as messengers to Musaylimah the liar. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to them, "Do you testify that I am the Messenger of Allah?" They said, "We testify that Musaylimah is the Messenger of Allah." He said, "If I were a killer of messengers, I would strike your necks." He then recited the verse that it is not allowed to kill a messenger. As for Ibn Uthayl, Allah justified him, and as for this one, he remained in that state until Allah took care of him now.

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ laid down upon a reed mat and it left marks on his side. When he woke up, I started wiping his side, and I said, "O Messenger of Allah, why do you not let us spread something on top of this mat for you?" The Prophet said, "What is the world to me? What am I to the world? Verily, the parable of myself and this world is that of a rider who seeks shade under a tree, then he moves on and leaves it behind."

ahmad:3710Yazīd > al-Masʿūdī > Jāmiʿ b. Shaddād

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Who will guard us tonight?" I said, "I will." He said, "You will sleep." Then he asked, "Who will guard us tonight?" I said, "I will." This repeated several times until I said, "I will, O Messenger of Allah." He said, "Then you may guard." So, I guarded them until the break of dawn. Then the Prophet ﷺ said to me, "You were asleep, and I also slept until the sun appeared on our backs and woke us up. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ got up and performed ablution and the two Rak'ahs (units) of Fajr prayer. Then he led us in offering the morning prayer. When he finished, he said, "Indeed, Allah Almighty, if He intended that you should not sleep, then you would not sleep. Rather, He wanted you to be an example for those after you. This is how it is for those who sleep or forget." Then the camel of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and the camels of the people scattered. People went searching for them and brought their camels except for the camel of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ . Abdallah said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ told me, 'Take it.' So, I took it where he instructed. I found its reins tangled on a tree that no one could have reached with their hand." He said, "I brought it to the Prophet ﷺ , and I said, 'O Messenger of Allah! By the One who sent you with the truth as a Prophet, I found its reins tangled on a tree that no one could have reached with their hand.'" The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "And Surah Al-Fath (Chapter of Victory) was revealed to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ : 'Indeed, We have granted you a clear triumph.'" [Quran 48:1]

[Machine] Abdullah, I have learned about the first punishment in Islam: a woman stole and her hand was cut off. As a result, the face of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ changed dramatically. [Machine] On the authority of the Prophet ﷺ, he said: "Verily, the last person to enter Jannah will be a man walking on the Sirat (bridge to Paradise). He will stumble once and walk once, and the fire will scorch him once. Once he has crossed the Sirat, he will turn towards it and say, 'Blessed is the One who saved me from you. Indeed, Allah has given me what He has not given to anyone from the earlier or later nations.' He will then be shown a tree and he will look at it and say, 'O Lord, get me closer to this tree so that I may get shade from its shade and drink from its water.' Allah will say, 'O My servant, didn't you make a promise not to demand anything other than this tree?' He will say, 'Yes, O Lord,' and he will pledge to Allah not to ask for anything else. However, Allah knows that he will eventually ask for more as he cannot bear the thought of being deprived of it. So, Allah will bring him closer to it and a tree better than it will be elevated for him. He will say, 'O Lord, bring me closer to this tree so that I may take shade under its shade and drink from its water.' Allah will say, 'O My servant, didn't you make a promise not to demand anything other than this tree?' He will say, 'Yes, O Lord,' and he will pledge to Allah not to ask for anything else. Yet, Allah knows that he will eventually ask for more as he cannot bear the thought of being deprived of it. So, Allah will bring him closer to it and a tree will be elevated near the gate of Jannah, it will be better than the previous ones. So, Allah will bring him closer to it and he will hear the voices of the dwellers of Jannah. He will say, 'O Lord, enter me into Jannah.' Allah will say, 'What can satisfy you, O My servant? Will you be pleased if I give you the entire world and its equivalent along with it?' He will say, 'Are you mocking me, O Lord, while You are the Lord of Honor?' Allah will laugh until His molars will become visible. Then, Allah's Messenger ﷺ recited the verse: 'Ask Me and I will grant you [your request].'" Abdullah said, 'Shouldn't you ask me why I laughed?' They said, 'Why did you laugh, O Messenger of Allah?' He said, 'I laughed at the laugh of the Lord when He said to His servant, 'Are you mocking Me, O My servant, while You are the Lord of Honor?' "

He whom Allah guides has no one who can lead him astray, and he whom He leads astray has no one to guide him.
