The Prophet ﷺ said: The mill of Islam will go round till the year thirty-five, or thirty-six, or thirty-seven; then if they perish, they will have followed the path of those who perished before them, but if their religion is maintained, it will be maintained for seventy years. I asked: Does it mean seventy years which remain or seventy years which are gone by? He replied: It means (seventy years) that are gone by. Abu Dawud said: Those who recorded Khirash, the name of a narrator, are wrong. (The correct name is Hirash)

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ تَدُورُ رَحَى الإِسْلاَمِ لِخَمْسٍ وَثَلاَثِينَ أَوْ سِتٍّ وَثَلاَثِينَ أَوْ سَبْعٍ وَثَلاَثِينَ فَإِنْ يَهْلِكُوا فَسَبِيلُ مَنْ هَلَكَ وَإِنْ يَقُمْ لَهُمْ دِينُهُمْ يَقُمْ لَهُمْ سَبْعِينَ عَامًا قَالَ قُلْتُ أَمِمَّا بَقِيَ أَوْ مِمَّا مَضَى قَالَ مِمَّا مَضَى

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Verily, the lifespan of Islam will be for thirty-five years, or thirty-six years, or thirty-seven years. If it perishes, they will earn what perishes with it. But if it remains, their religion will last for seventy years." Umar said, "O Messenger of Allah, is it with what has passed or with what remains?" He said, "No, rather with what remains."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِنَّ رَحَى الْإِسْلَامِ سَتَزُولُ بِخَمْسٍ وَثَلَاثِينَ أَوْ سِتٍّ وَثَلَاثِينَ أَوْ سَبْعٍوَثَلَاثِينَ فَإِنْ يَهْلَكْ فَكَسَبِيلِ مَا هَلَكَ وَإِنْ يَقُمْ لَهُمْ دِينُهُمْ يَقُمْ لَهُمْ سَبْعِينَ عَامًا قَالَ قَالَ عُمَرُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَبِمَا مَضَى أَمْ بِمَا بَقِيَ؟ قَالَ بَلْ بِمَا بَقِيَ

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The lifespan of Islam will last for thirty-five years, or thirty-six years, or thirty-seven years. Then, if they are destroyed, the way of those who are destroyed will also be followed. And if they remain, their religion will last for seventy years."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ تَزُولُ رَحَى الْإِسْلَامِ عَلَى رَأْسِ خَمْسٍ وَثَلَاثِينَ أَوْ سِتٍّ وَثَلَاثِينَ أَوْ سَبْعٍ وَثَلَاثِينَ فَإِنْ هَلَكُوا فَسَبِيلُ مَنْ هَلَكَ وَإِنْ بَقُوا بَقِيَ لَهُمْ دِينُهُمْ سَبْعِينَ عَامًا

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The lifespan of Islam will be for thirty-five or thirty-six years. If they are destroyed, the religion will be revived for them for seventy years." Umar said, "O Messenger of Allah, with what has passed or with what remains?" He replied, "With what remains."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «تَدُورُ رَحَا الْإِسْلَامِ لِخَمْسٍ وَثَلَاثِينَ أَوْ سِتٍّ وَثَلَاثِينَ فَإِنْ يَهْلِكُوا فَسَبِيلُ مَنْ هَلَكَ وَإِنْ يُقَمْ لَهُمْ دِينُهُمْ يُقَمْ لَهُمْ سَبْعِينَ عَامًا» فَقَالَ عُمَرُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ بِمَا مَضَى أَوْ بِمَا بَقِيَ؟ قَالَ «بِمَا بَقِيَ»

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The lifespan of Islam is based on thirty-five or thirty-six years. If they are destroyed, then the way of those who perished remains as a guidance. But if their religion remains, it will last for seventy years." Umar asked, "O Messenger of Allah, by what is left or what has passed?" He replied, "By what is left."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «تَدُورُ رَحَى الْإِسْلَامِ عَلَى خَمْسٍ وَثَلَاثِينَ أَوْ سِتٍّ وَثَلَاثِينَ فَإِنْ يَهْلِكُوا فَسَبِيلُ مَنْ هَلَكَ وَإِنْ بَقِيَ لَهُمْ دِينُهُمْ فَسَبْعِينَ عَامًا» قَالَ عُمَرُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ بِمَا بَقِيَ أَوْ بِمَا مَضَى؟ قَالَ «بِمَا بَقِيَ»

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Verily, the lifespan of Islam will be for thirty-five years, or (sixty-five years), or (seventy-seven years). If they are destroyed, then the way of those who were destroyed will prevail. And if they remain, their religion will remain for seventy years (after the completion of those years)." Umar asked, "O Prophet of Allah, by what has passed or by what remains?" He ﷺ said, "No, rather by what remains."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «إِنَّ رَحَى الْإِسْلَامِ سَتَدُورُ بَعْدَ خَمْسٍ وَثَلَاثِينَ أَوْ سِتٍّ وَثَلَاثِينَ أَوْ سَبْعٍ وَثَلَاثِينَ سَنَةً فَإِنْ يَهْلِكُوا فَسَبِيلُ مَنْ هَلَكَ وَإِنْ بَقِيَ لَهُمْ دِينُهُمْ يَقُمْ سَبْعِينَ» قَالَ عُمَرُ يَا نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ بِمَا مَضَى أَوْ بِمَا بَقِيَ قَالَ «لَا بَلْ بِمَا بَقِيَ»

[Machine] On the authority of the Prophet ﷺ , he said: "The foundation of Islam is based on thirty-five or thirty-six pillars. If they are destroyed, then the path of those who are destroyed is clear. And if they remain, their religion will continue for seventy years."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «تَدُورُ رَحَى الْإِسْلَامِ عَلَى خَمْسٍ وَثَلَاثِينَ أَوْ سِتٍّ وَثَلَاثِينَ فَإِنْ هَلَكُوا فَسَبِيلُ مَنْ هَلَكَ وَإِنْ بَقُوا بَقِيَ لَهُمْ دِينُهُمْ سَبْعِينَ سَنَةً»

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The lifespan of Islam will be thirty-five years or thirty-six years or thirty-seven years. If they perish, then the way of those who perish (before them) will perish. And if they remain, they will remain for seventy years."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «تَدُورُ رَحَى الْإِسْلَامِ رَأْسَ خَمْسٍ وَثَلَاثِينَ أَوْ سِتٍّ وَثَلَاثِينَ أَوْ سَبْعٍ وَثَلَاثِينَ فَإِنْ هَلَكُوا فَسَبِيلُ مَنْ هَلَكَ وَإِنْ بَقُوا بَقُوا سَبْعِينَ عَامًا»

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The lifespan of Islam is 35 years. If they perish, then those who perish will follow the same path. And if they survive, they will remain for seventy years."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «تَدُورُ رَحَى الْإِسْلَامِ سَنَةَ خَمْسٍ وَثَلَاثِينَ فَإِنْ هَلَكُوا فَسَبِيلُ مَنْ هَلَكَ وَإِنْ نَجَوْا بَقُوا سَبْعِينَ عَامًا»

اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ تَدُورُ رَحَى الْإِسْلَامِ عَلَى خَمْسٍ وَثَلَاثِينَ أَوْ سِتَّةٍ وَثَلَاثِينَ أَوْ سَبْعَةٍ وَثَلَاثِينَ فَإِنْ يَهْلِكُوا فَسَبِيلُ مَنْ هَلَكَ وَإِنْ بَقُوا أَوْ بَقِيَ لَهُمْ دِينَهُمْ سَبْعِينَ سَنَةً

اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ تَدُورُ رَحَى الْإِسْلَامِ يَعْنِي عَلَى رَأْسِ خَمْسٍ وَثَلَاثِينَ سَنَةً فَإِنْ يَهْلِكُوا فَسَبِيلُ مَنْ هَلَكَ وَإِنْ يَبْقُوا يَبْقَى لَهُمْ أَمْرُهُمْ سَبْعِينَ سَنَةً

"تُدورُ رَحَى الإِسْلامَ لخَمْسٍ وثَلاثَيِنَ، أوْ سِتِّ وَثَلاثِينَ، أَوْ سَبع وَثَلاثين، فإِن يَهْلَكُوا فَسبيلُ مَنْ هَلَكَ، وَإن يَقُمْ لَهُمْ دِينهُم يَقُمْ لَهُمْ سَبْعِين عامًا (بما مَضَى) ".
