There is none amongst you with whom is not an attache from amongst the jinn (devil). They (the Companions) said: Messenger of Allah, with you too? Thereupon he said: Yes, but Allah helps me against him and so I am safe from his hand and he does not command me but for good. (Using translation from Muslim 2814a)

[Machine] We were sitting in the mosque of Al-Khayf on the night of Arafah, before the day of Arafah, when we heard the hissing of a snake. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Kill it." So we stood up. He said, "Leave it." Then it entered a hole, so a palm-frond was brought and ignited with fire, and we used a stick to remove it from the hole but did not find it. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Leave it, and may Allah protect you from its harm, just as He protected you from its evil."

I heard the Prophet ﷺ saying, "There is no envy except in two: a person whom Allah has given wealth and he spends it in the right way, and a person whom Allah has given wisdom (i.e. religious knowledge) and he gives his decisions accordingly and teaches it to the others." (Using translation from Bukhārī 1409)

“Do you know what this is?” They said: “Allah and His Messenger know best.” He said: “Man is the line in the middle, and these lines to his side are the sicknesses and problems that assail him from all places. If one misses him, another will befall him. The square is his life span, at his neck; and the line outside it is (his) hope.” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 4231)

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ as saying: The summons (adhan) of Bilal should not restrain one of you from taking a meal shortly before dawn, for he utters adhan or calls (for prayer) so that the man at prayer may return, and the man asleep may get up. [Machine] I heard Ibn Masood say that the Prophet ﷺ arrived from Hudaybiyah at night, so we set up camp on a sandy patch of land. He asked, "Who will keep watch over us?" Bilal said, "I will." Then he said, "In that case, go to sleep." Bilal replied, "No, I will not sleep until the sunrise." So he stayed awake until dawn, then woke up so-and-so and so-and-so, including Umar. He said, "Shake off your sleep." The Prophet ﷺ woke up and said, "Do as you used to do." When they did so, he said, "This is how you should treat those among you who have slept or forgotten."

" Have Haya' for Allah as is His due." [He said:] We said: "O Prophet of Allah! We have Haya', and all praise is due to Allah." He said: "Not that, but having the Haya' for Allah which He is due is to protect the head and what it contains and to protect the insides and what it includes, and to remember death and the trial, and whoever intends the Hereafter, he leaves the adornments of the world. So whoever does that, then he has indeed fulfilled Haya', meaning the Haya' which Allah is due." (Using translation from Tirmidhī 2458)

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Indeed, Allah has divided your manners among you, just as He has divided your provisions among you. Surely, Allah, exalted and glorious, gives the life of this world to whom He loves and whom He does not love, and He gives the religion only to those whom He loves. So, whoever Allah gives the religion, He indeed loves him. By Him in Whose Hand is my life, no servant has true faith until his heart is secure, his tongue is truthful, and his neighbor is safe from his harm."

They asked: "O Messenger of Allah, what are its harms?"

He said: "To shed (forbidden) blood, and to commit injustice. A servant does not accumulate wealth that is obtained unlawfully, then spends from it, except that he is not blessed in it. And a servant does not give charity from it, except that it is not accepted from him. And a servant does not turn his back on his brother (meaning, abandoning or hurting him), except that it will increase his burden in the Fire. Indeed, Allah, exalted and glorious, does not erase evil with evil, but He erases evil with good. The vile one does not erase his vileness."

“A man came to Abu Musa Al-Ash’ari and Salman bin Rabi’ah Al-Bahili and asked them about (the shares of) a daughter, a son’s daughter, a sister through one’s father and mother. They said: ‘The daughter gets one half, and what is left goes to the sister. Go to Ibn Mas’ud, for he will concur with what we say.’ So the man went to Ibn Mas’ud, and told him what they had said. ‘Abdullah said: ‘I will go astray and will not be guided (if I say that I agree); but I will judge as the Messenger of Allah ﷺ judged. The daughter gets one half, and the son’s daughter gets one- sixth. That makes two thirds. And what is left goes to the sister.’” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 2721)
