[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ was brought a roasted lizard but he did not eat it. So I said, "Shall we not feed it to the poor?" He said, "Do not feed them from what you do not eat."

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to divide his time equally and said: O Allah, this is my division concerning what I control, so do not blame me concerning what You control and I do not. Abu Dawud said: By it meant the heart. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 2134)

ahmad:25112Sulaymān b. Dawuād al-Hāshimī > Ibrāhīm / Ibn Saʿd > al-Zuhrī > ʿUrwah > ʿĀʾishah

"I asked Aishah about the words of Allah, the Mighty and Sublime: 'So it sin not a sin on him who perform Hajj or Umrah (Pilgrimage) of the House (the Kabah at Makkah) to perform the going (Tawaf) between them (as-Safa and Al-Marwah) and (I said): 'By Allah, there is no sin on anyone if he does not go between As-Safa and Al-Marwa.' Aishah said: 'What a bad thing you said, O son of my brother! If this Ayah was as you have interpreted it, there would be no sin on a person if he did not go between them. But it was revealed concering the Ansar. Before they accepted Islam, they sued to enter Ihram for the false goddess Manat whom they used to worship at Al-Mushallal. Whoever enter Ihram for her would refrain from going between As-Safa and Al-Marwah. When they asked the Messenger of Allah about that, Allah, the Might and Sublime, revealed: 'Verily As-Safa and Al-Marwah (Two mountains in Makkah) are of the Symbols of Allah. So it is not a sin on him who performs Hajj or Urmrah (Pilgrimage) of the House (the Kabah at Makkah) to perform the going (Tawaf) between them (As-Safa and Al-Marwah). Then the Messenger of Allah enjoined going between them so no one has the right to refrain from going between them.'" (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2968)

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered upon me on the day that it began. I said to him, while I was observing his face, "I wish this had happened while I was still alive, so I could have prepared you and buried you." He said, "I said the same, as if I were with you that day, getting married to some of your women." He said, "And I and my head would say, 'Pray for me, your father and your brother, until I write a document for Abu Bakr, for I fear that someone will say, and a desirous person will wish, 'I am more worthy,' and Allah and the believers do not except Abu Bakr."

He replied, "By Allah, one of them is dearer to me than the other." She asked, "Which one?" He replied, "Those who do what they are commanded to do." She said, "Bear witness that this is how the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to recite it and this is how it was revealed. However, the calligraphy changes it."
