[Machine] Salman, may Allah have mercy on him, used to shave his head. His companion asked him, "What is this for?" He replied, "Indeed, the true life is the life of the hereafter."  

الزهد لأحمد:٨٤٢حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ الْجَرَوِيُّ قَالَ كَتَبَ إِلَيْنَا ضَمْرَةُ عَنِ ابْنِ شَوْذَبٍ قَالَ

كَانَ سَلْمَانُ رَحِمَهُ اللَّهُ يَحْلِقُ رَأْسَهُ رَفِيقُهُ فَقِيلَ لَهُ مَا هَذَا؟ فَقَالَ إِنَّمَا الْعَيْشُ عَيْشُ الْآخِرَةِ
