ahmad-zuhd:745ʿAbdullāh from my father > Muḥammad b. Khāzim Abū Muʿāwiyah > Man > al-Aʿmash > Sālim

[Machine] Abu Darda, may Allah have mercy on him, saw a man and was amazed by his skin, so he said, "Have you ever been cupped?" He replied, "No." Abu Darda then asked, "Have you ever been afflicted with scabies?" He replied, "No." Abu Darda then said, "What a wretched fate for this man to die due to his sins."  

الزهد لأحمد:٧٤٥حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ خَازِمٍ أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي مَنْ سَمِعَ الْأَعْمَشَ يَذْكُرُ عَنْ سَالِمٍ قَالَ

رَأَى أَبُو الدَّرْدَاءِ رَحِمَهُ اللَّهُ رَجُلًا فَعَجِبَ مِنْ جِلْدِهِ فَقَالَ أَمَا حُمِمْتَ قَطُّ؟ قَالَ لَا فَقَالَ أَمَا صُدِعْتَ قَطُّ؟ فَقَالَ لَا فَقَالَ أَبُو الدَّرْدَاءِ بُؤْسًا لِهَذَا يَمُوتُ بِخَطِيئَتِهِ
