الزهد لأحمد:٢٢٤٢ – حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ حَدَّثَنَا رَجَاءُ بْنُ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ قَالَ نُبِّئْتُ أَنَّ ابْنَ مُحَيْرِيزٍ دَخَلَ عَلَى رَجُلٍ مِنَ الْبَزَّازِينَ يَشْتَرِي شَيْئًا فَقَالَ لَهُ رَجُلٌ أَتَعْرِفُ هَذَا؟ هَذَا ابْنُ مُحَيْرِيزٍ فَقَامَ فَقَالَ

«إِنَّمَا جِئْنَا لَنَشْتَرِيَ بِدَرَاهِمِنَا لَيْسَ بِدِينِنَا»
