[Machine] "Do you not fear Allah, O Abu Umar, regarding this body? Why do you torture this body?" So Aswad said, "O Abu Shibl, this is serious, very serious."  

الزهد لأحمد:٢٠٢١ – حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ وَهُوَ الرَّقِّيُّ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ بِشْرٍ أَنَّ عَلْقَمَةَ بْنَ قَيْسٍ وَالْأَسْوَدَ بْنَ يَزِيدَ حَجَّا فَكَانَ الْأَسْوَدُ صَاحِبَ عِبَادَةٍ فَصَامَ يَوْمًا فَرَاحَ النَّاسُ بِالْهَجِيرِ وَقَدْ تَرَبَّدَ وَجْهُهُ فَأَتَاهُ عَلْقَمَةُ فَضَرَبَ عَلَى فَخِذِهِ فَقَالَ

أَلَا تَتَّقِي اللَّهَ يَا أَبَا عُمَرَ فِي هَذَا الْجَسَدِ عَلَامَ تُعَذِّبُ هَذَا الْجَسَدَ؟ فَقَالَ الْأَسْوَدُ يَا أَبَا شِبْلٍ الْجِدَّ الْجِدَّ
