[Machine] "I asked Abu Alaa and Al-Hajjaj about a robe, and I said, 'O Abu Alaa, should I curse Al-Hajjaj?' He replied, 'Pray for his reconciliation, for his reconciliation is better for you.'"  

الزهد لأحمد:١٣٧٦حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ الْفَضْلِ قَالَ

سَأَلْتُ أَبَا الْعَلَاءِ وَالْحَجَّاجُ فِي عَبَاءَةٍ فَقُلْتُ يَا أَبَا الْعَلَاءِ أَسُبُّ الْحَجَّاجَ؟ فَقَالَ «ادْعُ لَهُ بِالصَّلَاحِ فَإِنَّ صَلَاحَهُ خَيْرٌ لَكَ»
