Morning and evening dua

adab:604Mūsā > Abū ʿAwānah > ʿUmar from his father > Abū Hurayrah

The Prophet ﷺ would say in the morning:

aṣbaḥnā wa-aṣbaḥa al-ḥamdu kulluhu li-llāhi, lā sharīka lahu, lā ilāha illā Allāhu, wa-ilayhi al-nushūr

"We have reached the morning and and all praise belongs to Allah who has no partner. There is no god but Allah and to Him is the gathering.

In the evening he would say,

amsaynā wa-amsā al-mulku li-llāhi, wa-al-ḥamdu kulluhu li-llāhi, lā sharīka lahu, lā ilāha illā Allāhu, wa-ilayhi al-maṣīr

"We have reached the evening and the kingdom belongs to Allah and all praise belongs to Allah who has no partner. There is no god but Allah and to Him is the return."
