Ridiculing parents is a major sin

adab:28 –

'Abdullah ibn 'Amr said, "A man causing his parent to be reviled is one of the major sins in the sight of Allah Almighty."  

الأدب المفرد:٢٨ – حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَلاَمٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا مَخْلَدٌ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ سُفْيَانَ يَزْعُمُ أَنَّ عُرْوَةَ بْنَ عِيَاضٍ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَاصِ يَقُولُ

مِنَ الْكَبَائِرِ عِنْدَ اللهِ تَعَالَى أَنْ يَسْتَسِبَّ الرَّجُلُ لِوَالِدِهِ
