Abu Hurayra related, "Some people said, 'Messenger of Allah, we feel in ourselves something which we do not want to speak about and we have been in that state since sunrise.' He said, 'Have you really felt like that?' 'Yes,' they said. He said, 'That is clear belief.'"

الأدب المفرد:١٢٨٤ – حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَلاَمٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدَةُ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ

قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنَّا نَجِدُ فِي أَنْفُسِنَا شَيْئًا مَا نُحِبُّ أَنْ نَتَكَلَّمَ بِهِ وَإِنَّ لَنَا مَا طَلَعَتْ عَلَيْهِ الشَّمْسُ قَالَ أَوَ قَدْ وَجَدْتُمْ ذَلِكَ؟ قَالُوا نَعَمْ قَالَ ذَاكَ صَرِيحُ الإيمَانِ

Verily we perceive in our minds that which every one of us considers it too grave to express. He (the Holy Prophet) said: Do you really perceive it? They said: Yes. Upon this he remarked: That is the faith manifest.

مسلم:١٣٢a – حَدَّثَنِي زُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ عَنْ سُهَيْلٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ

جَاءَ نَاسٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَسَأَلُوهُ إِنَّا نَجِدُ فِي أَنْفُسِنَا مَا يَتَعَاظَمُ أَحَدُنَا أَنْ يَتَكَلَّمَ بِهِ قَالَ وَقَدْ وَجَدْتُمُوهُ قَالُوا نَعَمْ قَالَ ذَاكَ صَرِيحُ الإِيمَانِ

Have you experienced that? They replied: yes. He said : that is clear faith.
