Anas ibn Malik reported that people knocked on the door of the Prophet ﷺ using their fingernails.
عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ إِنَّ أَبْوَابَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ كَانَتْ تُقْرَعُ بِالأظَافِيرِ
