Abu Musa al-Ash'ari reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Anyone who plays backgammon has rebelled against Allah and His Messenger."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ لَعِبَ بِالنَّرْدِ فَقَدْ عَصَى اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ

'Abdullah ibn Mas'ud said, "Beware of these two marked cubes. They should be forcibly prohibited. They are part of gambling."

إِيَّاكُمْ وَهَاتَيْنِ الْكَعْبَتَيْنِ الْمَوْسُومَتَيْنِ اللَّتَيْنِ يُزْجَرَانِ زَجْرًا فَإِنَّهُمَا مِنَ الْمَيْسِرِ

Burayda reported that the Prophet ﷺ said, "Someone who plays backgammon is like a person who puts his hand in the meat and blood of a pig."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ لَعِبَ بِالنَّرْدَشِيرِ فَكَأَنَّمَا صَبَغَ يَدَهُ فِي لَحْمِ خِنْزِيرٍ وَدَمِهِ

Abu Musa reported that the Prophet ﷺ said, "Anyone who plays backgammon has rebelled against Allah and His Messenger."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ لَعِبَ بِالنَّرْدِ فَقَدْ عَصَى اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ
