"While the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was alive, we used to say: 'Abu Bakr, and (then) 'Umar, and (then) 'Uthman.'
كُنَّا نَقُولُ وَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ حَىٌّ أَبُو بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرُ وَعُثْمَانُ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ غَرِيبٌ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ يُسْتَغْرَبُ مِنْ حَدِيثِ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ وَقَدْ رُوِيَ هَذَا الْحَدِيثُ مِنْ غَيْرِ وَجْهٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ
