Some people asked Messenger of Allah ﷺ, "Whose Islam is the best? i.e. (Who is a very good Muslim)?" He replied, "One who avoids harming the Muslims with his tongue and hands."

قَالُوا: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَىُّ الإِسْلاَمِ أَفْضَلُ؟ قَالَ: «مَنْ سَلِمَ الْمُسْلِمُونَ مِنْ لِسَانِهِ وَيَدِهِ۔»

A Muslim is he from whose hand and tongue the Muslims are safe.

سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يَقُولُ الْمُسْلِمُ مَنْ سَلِمَ الْمُسْلِمُونَ مِنْ لِسَانِهِ وَيَدِهِ

I asked the Messenger of Allah which (attribute) of Islam is more excellent. Upon this he remarked: One in which the Muslims are safe, protected from the tongue and hand of (other Muslims).

قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَىُّ الإِسْلاَمِ أَفْضَلُ قَالَ مَنْ سَلِمَ الْمُسْلِمُونَ مِنْ لِسَانِهِ وَيَدِهِ

"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was asked: 'Which of the Muslims is the most virtuous?' He said: 'The one whom the Muslims are safe from his tongue and his hand.'"

سُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَىُّ الْمُسْلِمِينَ أَفْضَلُ قَالَ مَنْ سَلِمَ الْمُسْلِمُونَ مِنْ لِسَانِهِ وَيَدِهِ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ غَرِيبٌ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ مِنْ حَدِيثِ أَبِي مُوسَى

that the Prophet ﷺ was asked: "Which of the Muslims is most virtuous?" He said: "The one from (the harm of) whose tongue and hand (other) Muslims are safe."

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ سُئِلَ أَىُّ الْمُسْلِمِينَ أَفْضَلُ قَالَ مَنْ سَلِمَ الْمُسْلِمُونَ مِنْ لِسَانِهِ وَيَدِهِ

"I said: 'O Messenger of Allah, whose Islam is most virtuous?' He said: 'The one from whose tongue and hand the Muslims are safe.'"

قُلْنَا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَىُّ الإِسْلاَمِ أَفْضَلُ قَالَ مَنْ سَلِمَ الْمُسْلِمُونَ مِنْ لِسَانِهِ وَيَدِهِ

"I said: 'O Messenger of Allah, whose Islam is most virtuous?' He said: 'The one from whose tongue and hand the Muslims are safe.'" (Using translation from Nasāʾī 4999)

قِيلَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَيُّ الْإِسْلَامِ أَفْضَلُ؟ قَالَ «مَنْ سَلِمَ الْمُسْلِمُونَ مِنْ لِسَانِهِ وَيَدِهِ»

The Prophet ﷺ said, "A Muslim is the one who avoids harming Muslims with his tongue and hands. And a Muhajir (emigrant) is the one who gives up (abandons) all what Allah has forbidden." (Using translation from Bukhārī 10)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «الْمُسْلِمُ مَنْ سَلِمَ الْمُسْلِمُونَ مِنْ لِسَانِهِ وَيَدِهِ»

[AI] It was said to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, "Which religion is most beloved to Allah?" He said, "The tolerant Hanifiyyah."

قِيلَ لِرَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ أَيُّ الْأَدْيَانِ أَحَبُّ إِلَى اللهِ؟ قَالَ الْحَنِيفِيَّةُ السَّمْحَةُ

"I said: 'O Messenger of Allah, whose Islam is most virtuous?' He said: 'The one from whose tongue and hand the Muslims are safe.'" (Using translation from Nasāʾī 4999)

يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَيُّ الْإِسْلَامِ أَفْضَلُ؟ قَالَ مَنْ سَلِمَ النَّاسُ مِنْ لِسَانِهِ وَيَدِهِ

[AI] "From the Prophet ﷺ, he said: When you see my nation not saying to the oppressor among them that you are an oppressor, they have forsaken them."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا رَأَيْتَ أُمَّتِي لَا يَقُولُونَ لِلظَّالِمِ مِنْهُمْ أَنْتَ ظَالِمٌ فَقَدْ تُوُدِّعَ مِنْهُمْ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When you see my nation fearing the oppressor and not saying to him, 'You are an oppressor,' then bid farewell to them."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا رَأَيْتَ أُمَّتِي تَهَابُ الظَّالِمَ أَنْ تَقُولَ لَهُ أَنْتَ ظَالِمٌ فَقَدْ تُوُدِّعَ مِنْهُمْ

[AI] A man asked the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ , "Which aspect of Islam is the best?" He replied, "That Muslims are safe from your tongue and your hand." And Waki' narrated this to us from Al-A'mash.

رَجُلٌ لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَيُّ الْإِسْلَامِ أَفْضَلُ؟ قَالَ أَنْ يَسْلَمَ الْمُسْلِمُونَ مِنْ لِسَانِكَ وَيَدِكَ وحَدَّثَنَاهُ وَكِيعٌ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The most complete of believers is the one who the Muslims are safe from his tongue and hand."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «أَكْمَلُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ مَنْ سَلِمَ الْمُسْلِمُونَ مِنْ لِسَانِهِ وَيَدِهِ»

"I heard the Messenger of Allah [SAW] say: "The Muslim is the one from whose tongue and hand the Muslims are safe, and the Muhajir is the one who forsakes (Hajara) that which Allah has forbidden to him." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 4996)

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «الْمُهَاجِرُ مَنْ هَجَرَ السَّيِّئَاتِ وَالْمُسْلِمُ مَنْ سَلِمَ الْمُسْلِمُونَ مِنْ لِسَانِهِ وَيَدِهِ»

[AI] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "The Muslim who truly submits to Islam is the one from whose tongue and hands other Muslims are safe."

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «أَسْلَمُ الْمُسْلِمِينَ إِسْلَامًا مَنْ سَلِمَ الْمُسْلِمُونَ مِنْ لِسَانِهِ وَيَدِهِ»

يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَيُّ الْمُسْلِمِينَ خَيْرٌ؟ قَالَ «مَنْ سَلِمَ الْمُسْلِمُونَ مِنْ لِسَانِهِ وَيَدِهِ»

[AI] They said, "O Messenger of Allah, what is the best thing that a Muslim is given?" He replied, "Good character."

قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ مَا أَفْضَلُ مَا أُعْطِيَ الْمَرْءُ الْمُسْلِمُ؟ قَالَ «حُسْنُ الْخُلُقِ»

[AI] "A man said, 'O Messenger of Allah, who is the Muslim?' He ﷺ said, 'The Muslims are those whom other Muslims are safe from their tongue and hand.'"

رَجُلٌ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ مَا الْمُسْلِمُ؟ قَالَ «مَنْ سَلِمَ الْمُسْلِمُونَ مِنْ لِسَانِهِ وَيَدِهِ»

[AI] Ibn Abbas asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, "Which religion is more beloved to Allah?" He replied, "The gentle Hanifiyyah religion."

عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ سُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَيُّ الْأَدْيَانِ أَحَبُّ إِلَى اللهِ؟ قَالَ «الْحَنِيفِيَّةُ السَّمْحَةُ»

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ سُئِلَ أَيُّ الدِّينِ أَفْضَلُ؟ قَالَ «الْحَنِيفِيَّةُ السَّمْحَةُ»

[AI] That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was asked about the best religion. He said, "The tolerant Hanafiya religion."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ سُئِلَ عَنِ الدِّينِ أَيُّهُ أَفْضَلُ؟ قَالَ «الْحَنِيفِيَّةُ السَّمْحَةُ»

"أحبُّ الأديانِ إلى اللهِ: الحنيفيَّة السمحةُ" .

"أحَبُّ الأديانِ إلى اللهِ الحنيفيةُ السمحةُ، فإذا رأيت أمتى لا يقولون للظالِمِ: أنت ظالمٌ، فقد تُوُدِّع مِنهم".

"إِذَا رأيتَ أُمتِي تهابُ الظَّالِمَ أَنْ تَقُولَ لَهُ: إِنَّكَ ظالِم، فَقَدْ تُودعَ مِنْهُمْ" .

A Muslim is he from whose hand and tongue the Muslims are safe. (Using translation from Muslim 41)

"أَسْلَمُ المسْلِمِينَ إِسْلامًا مَنْ سَلِمَ المسْلِمُونَ مِنْ لِسَانِهِ، ويَدهِ".

"أسْلَمُ الْمُسْلمِيِنَ إِسْلامًا مَنْ سَلِمَ الْمُسْلِمُونَ مِنْ لِسَانِه وَيَدهِ" .

"أفْضَلُ الإِسلام: الحنِيفيَّةُ السَّمْحَةُ".

"أفضلُ المسلمين من سَلِمَ المسلمون من لسانِه ويَده".

"أكْمَلُ المؤمنين من سَلِمَ المسلمون من لسانِه ويده".

"إِنَّ أحبَّ الدينِ إِلى اللَّهِ الحَنِيفِيَّةُ السَّمْحَةُ".

"إِنَّ أَفضَل المسلمين إِسلامًا من سلِم الْمُسلِمُونَ من لِسانِهِ ويدِهِ".

"المهاجرُ مَنْ هَجَرَ السُّوءَ، والمُسْلِمُ مَنْ سَلِمَ المُسْلِمُونَ من لسانِهِ ويَدِهِ" .

"المسلم من سلم المسلمون من لسانه ويده ".

"خيرُ المسلمينَ من سَلِمَ المسُلِمُونَ من لِسانِهِ ويِدهِ".

"يَا عُثْمَانُ: إِن الله لَمْ يَبْعَثْنِى بِالرَّهْبَانِيَّةِ، وَإنَّ خَيْرَ الدِّينِ عِنْدَ الله الحَنِيفِيَّةُ السَّمْحَةُ".

"عَنْ أبِي أُمَامَةَ أَنَّ رَجُلًا قَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ الله: مَا الْمُسْلِمُ؟ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ الله ﷺ : مَنْ سَلِمَ الْمُسْلِمُونَ مِنْ لِسَانِهِ وَيَدهِ".
