"أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ سَلُوا اللهَ المُعَافَاةَ فَإنَّهُ لَمْ يُعْطَ أحَدٌ مِثْلَ اليَقِينَ بَعْدَ المُعَافَاة، وَلَا أَشَدَّ مِنَ الرِّيبَةِ بَعْدَ الكُفْر، وعَلَيكمْ بالصِّدقِ فَإِنَّهُ يَهْدِى إِلَى البرِّ وَهُمَا فِي الجَنَّةِ، وَإيَّاكُمْ والكَذِبَ فَإِنَّهُ يَهْدِى إِلى الفجُور وَهُمَا فِي النَّارِ".

He said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood before us last year... and he wept and struggled to speak three times, then he said: 0 people, ask Allah for well-being for no one is given, after certainty of faith, anything like well being and nothing worse than doubt after disbelief. the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "You must be truthful, for it leads to righteousness and they are both in Paradise. And beware of dishonesty, for it leads to wickedness and they are both in the Hellfire."

"عَنْ أبى بكرِ الصديقِ قال: قَامَ فِينَا رَسُولُ الله ﷺ فقال: سَلُوا الله الْعَافِيَةَ فَإِنَّه لَمْ يُعْطَ أحد أَفْضَلَ من معافاةٍ بعَد يقينٍ، وإيَّاكُمْ والرِّيبَةَ، فَإِنَّهُ لَمْ يُؤْتِ أَحدًا أَشَدَّ مِنْ رِيبَةٍ بَعْد كُفْرٍ، وَعَلَيْكُمْ بِالْصِّدقِ فَإِنَّهُ مع البِرِّ وهمَا فِى الجَنَّةِ، وإِيَّاكُمْ والكذِبَ فإِنهُ مع الفجورِ، وهمَا فىِ النَّارِ".
"عَلَيكُمْ بالصدق فَإِنَّهُ يَهدى إلى البر، وهما في الجنة، وإياكم والكذبَ، فإِنه يَهدِى إِلى الفجورِ، وهما في النار".
