AbdurRahman ibn al-Akhnas said that when he was in the mosque, a man mentioned Ali (may Allah be pleased with him). So Sa'id ibn Zayd got up and said: I bear witness to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ that I heard him say: Ten persons will go to Paradise: The Prophet ﷺ will go to Paradise, AbuBakr will go to Paradise, Umar will go to Paradise, Uthman will go to Paradise, Ali will go to Paradise, Talhah will go to Paradise: az-Zubayr ibn al-Awwam will go to paradise, Sa'd ibn Malik will go to Paradise, and AbdurRahman ibn Awf will go to Paradise. If I wish, I can mention the tenth. The People asked: Who is he: So he kept silence. The again asked: Who is he: He replied: He is Sa'id ibn Zayd.  

أَشْهَدُ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنِّي سَمِعْتُهُ وَهُوَ يَقُولُ عَشْرَةٌ فِي الْجَنَّةِ النَّبِيُّ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَأَبُو بَكْرٍ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَعُمَرُ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَعُثْمَانُ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَعَلِيٌّ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَطَلْحَةُ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَالزُّبَيْرُ بْنُ الْعَوَّامِ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَسَعْدُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَعَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَوْفٍ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَلَوْ شِئْتَ لَسَمَّيْتُ الْعَاشِرَ قَالَ فَقَالُوا مَنْ هُوَ فَسَكَتَ قَالَ فَقَالُوا مَنْ هُوَ فَقَالَ هُوَ سَعِيدُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ  

"The Messenger of Allah was one of the Ten (given glad tidings of Paradise). He said: 'Abu Bakr will be in Paradise; 'Umar will be in Paradise; 'Uthman will be in Paradise; 'Ali will be in Paradise; Talhah will be in Paradise; Zubair will be in Paradise; Sa'd will be in Paradise; 'Abdur-Rahman will be in Paradise." He was asked: 'Who will be the ninth?' He said: 'I will.'"  

سَمِعَ جَدَّهُ سَعِيدَ بْنَ زَيْدِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ نُفَيْلٍ يَقُولُ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ عَاشِرَ عَشَرَةٍ فَقَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَعُمَرُ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَعُثْمَانُ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَعَلِيٌّ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَطَلْحَةُ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَالزُّبَيْرُ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَسَعْدٌ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَعَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ فِي الْجَنَّةِ فَقِيلَ لَهُ مَنِ التَّاسِعُ قَالَ أَنَا  

[Machine] "The Prophet ﷺ said Abu Bakr is in Paradise, Umar is in Paradise, Ali is in Paradise, Uthman is in Paradise, Talhah is in Paradise, Zubair is in Paradise, Abdul Rahman ibn Awf is in Paradise, Saad ibn Abi Waqqas is in Paradise, Said ibn Zaid ibn Amr ibn Nufayl is in Paradise, and Abu Ubaidah ibn al-Jarrah is in Paradise."  

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَعُمَرُ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَعَلِيٌّ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَعُثْمَانُ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَطَلْحَةُ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَالزُّبَيْرُ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَعَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَوْفٍ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَسَعْدُ بْنُ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَسَعِيدُ بْنُ زَيْدِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ نُفَيْلٍ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَأَبُو عُبَيْدَةَ بْنُ الْجَرَّاحِ فِي الْجَنَّةِ  

[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "The Messenger of Allah is in Paradise, and Abu Bakr is in Paradise, and Umar is in Paradise, and Ali is in Paradise, and Uthman is in Paradise, and Abdur Rahman is in Paradise, and Talha is in Paradise, and Zubair is in Paradise, and Saad is in Paradise." Then he said, "If you wish, I will inform you about the tenth," and then he mentioned himself.  

أَنَّ الْمُغِيرَةَ بْنَ شُعْبَةَ خَطَبَ فَنَالَ مِنْ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ فَقَامَ سَعِيدُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ فَقَالَ أَشْهَدُ أَنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ رَسُولُ اللهِ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَأَبُو بَكْرٍ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَعُمَرُ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَعَلِيٌّ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَعُثْمَانُ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَعَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَطَلْحَةُ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَالزُّبَيْرُ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَسَعْدٌ فِي الْجَنَّةِ ثُمَّ قَالَ إِنْ شِئْتُمِ أخْبَرْتُكُمْ بِالْعَاشِرِ ثُمَّ ذَكَرَ نَفْسَهُ  

[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying: "The Prophet is in Paradise, and Abu Bakr is in Paradise, and Umar is in Paradise, and Uthman is in Paradise, and Ali is in Paradise, and Talhah is in Paradise, and Zubair is in Paradise, and Abdur Rahman bin Auf is in Paradise, and Saad is in Paradise. And if I wanted to mention the tenth name..."  

خَطَبَنَا الْمُغِيرَةُ بْنُ شُعْبَةَ فَنَالَ مِنْ عَلِيٍّ فَقَامَ سَعِيدُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ فَقَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ النَّبِيُّ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَأَبُو بَكْرٍ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَعُمَرُ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَعُثْمَانُ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَعَلِيٌّ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَطَلْحَةُ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَالزُّبَيْرُ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَعَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَوْفٍ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَسَعْدٌ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَلَوْ شِئْتُ أَنْ أُسَمِّيَ الْعَاشِرَ

أَشْهَدُ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنِّي سَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ «عَشْرَةٌ فِي الْجَنَّةِ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَأَبُو بَكْرٍ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَعُمَرُ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَعُثْمَانُ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَعَلِيٌّ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَطَلْحَةُ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَالزُّبَيْرُ بْنُ الْعَوَّامِ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَسَعْدُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَعَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَوْفٍ فِي الْجَنَّةِ» وَلَوْ شِئْتُ لَسَمَّيْتُ الْعَاشِرَ قَالُوا مَنْ هُوَ؟ فَسَكَتَ فَقَالُوا مَنْ هُوَ؟ فَقَالَ «سَعِيدُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ»  

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "Ten are in Paradise: Abu Bakr is in Paradise, Umar is in Paradise, Uthman is in Paradise, Ali is in Paradise, Zubayr is in Paradise, Talhah is in Paradise, Ibn Awf is in Paradise, Saad is in Paradise, Sa'id bin Zaid is in Paradise, and Abu Ubaidah bin al-Jarrah is in Paradise."  

قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «عَشْرَةٌ فِي الْجَنَّةِ أَبُو بَكْرٍ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَعُمَرُ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَعُثْمَانُ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَعَلِيٌّ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَالزُّبَيْرُ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَطَلْحَةُ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَابْنُ عَوْفٍ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَسَعْدٌ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَسَعِيدُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَأَبُو عُبَيْدَةَ بْنُ الْجَرَّاحِ فِي الْجَنَّةِ»  

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Abu Bakr is in Paradise, and Umar is in Paradise, and Uthman is in Paradise, and Ali is in Paradise." He also said another time, "And Ali is in Paradise, and Uthman is in Paradise, and Talhah is in Paradise, and Zubayr is in Paradise, and Abdur-Rahman ibn Awf is in Paradise, and Saad ibn Abi Waqqas is in Paradise, and Abu Ubaydah ibn al-Jarrah is in Paradise."  

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «أَبُو بَكْرٍ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَعُمَرُ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَعُثْمَانُ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَعَلِيٌّ فِي الْجَنَّةِ» وَقَالَ مَرَّةً أُخْرَى «وَعَلِيٌّ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَعُثْمَانُ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَطَلْحَةُ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَالزُّبَيْرُ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَعَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَوْفٍ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَسَعْدُ بْنُ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَأَبُو عُبَيْدَةَ بْنُ الْجَرَّاحِ فِي الْجَنَّةِ»  

[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "Abu Bakr is in Paradise, and Umar is in Paradise, and Uthman is in Paradise, and Ali is in Paradise, and Talha is in Paradise, and Zubayr is in Paradise, and Sa'd is in Paradise, and Abdur Rahman ibn Awf is in Paradise, and if I wanted to name the ninth, I would have named myself, as we thought he meant himself."  

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «أَبُو بَكْرٍ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَعُمَرُ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَعُثْمَانُ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وعَلِيٌّ في الْجَنَّةِ وَطَلْحَةُ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَالزُّبَيْرُ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَسَعْدُ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَعَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَوْفٍ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَلَوْ شِئْتُ أَنْ أُسَمِّيَ التَّاسِعَ لَسَمَّيْتُ فَظَنَنْاهُ يَعْنِي نَفْسِهِ»  

"The Messenger of Allah was one of the Ten (given glad tidings of Paradise). سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ عَشَرَةٌ مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ فِي الْجَنَّةِ أَبُو بَكْرٍ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَعُمَرُ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَعَلِيٌّ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَعُثْمَانُ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَطَلْحَةُ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَالزُّبَيْرُ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَعَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَسَعْدُ بْنُ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَسَعِيدُ بْنُ زَيْدِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو  

[Machine] I testify that the Prophet Muhammad said, "Abu Bakr is in Paradise, Umar is in Paradise, Uthman is in Paradise, Ali is in Paradise, Talha is in Paradise, Zubair is in Paradise, Abdur Rahman bin Auf is in Paradise, Saad is in Paradise, and if I wanted to name the ninth, I would name myself. I am the ninth of the believers, and the Messenger of Allah is the tenth."  

أَشْهَدُ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ أَنَّهُ قَالَ «أَبُو بَكْرٍ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَعُمَرُ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَعُثْمَانُ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَعَلِيٌّ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَطَلْحَةُ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَالزُّبَيْرُ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَعَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَوْفٍ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَسَعْدٌ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَلَوْ شِئْتُ أَنْ أُسَمِّيَ التَّاسِعَ لَسَمَّيْتُهُ أَنَا تَاسِعُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَرَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ الْعَاشِرُ»  

"أبُو بِكْرٍ في الْجَنَّة، وعُمَرُ في الْجنَّة، وعثمان في الْجنَّة، وعلى في الْجنَّة، وطَلحَةُ في الْجنَّة، والزُّبَيْر في الْجنَّة، وعبْد الرَّحْمن بْن عَوْفِ في الجَنَّة، وسعد بْن أبي وَقَّاص في الْجنَّة، وسَعيدُ بن زيد بن عمرو بن نفيل في الْجنَّة، وأبُو عُبَيْدةَ بنُ الجرَّاح في الْجنَّة ".  

"عَشرَةٌ مِنْ قُرَيشٍ فِي الجَنَّة: أَبُو بَكرٍ فِي الجَنة، وَعُمَرُ في الجَنَّةِ وَعُثمانُ فِي الجنَّةِ، وَعَلي فِي الجَنةِ, وَطَلحَةُ فِي الجَنَّة، والزُّبيرُ في الجَنَّةِ, وَسعدٌ في الجنة، وَسعيدٌ في الجَنَّةِ, وعَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بن عَوفِ في الجَنَّةِ, وَأَبُو عُبَيدَة بن الجراح في الجنَّةِ".  

"عَشَرَةٌ في الجَنَّة: النَّبِيُّ في الجَنَّة، وأَبُو بَكْرٍ في الجَنَّة، وَعُمَرُ فِي الجَنَّة, وَعُثْمَانُ في الجَنَّة, وَعَلَيٌّ في الجَنَّةِ، وَطَلحَة في الجَنَّة والزُّبيرُ بن العَوّام في الجنَّة، وسَعْدُ بن مَالكٍ في الجَنَّة، وَعَبد الرَّحْمَنِ بن عَوفٍ في الجَنَّةِ, وسَعيدُ بن زَيدٍ في الجَنَّةِ".
