[Machine] Amr ibn Wahb al-Thaqafi said: We were with al-Mughira ibn Shu'ba and he was asked: Did anyone other than Abu Bakr become the father of any of the people of this Ummah? He said: Yes, we were with the Prophet ﷺ on a journey, and when he was suffering from magic, he struck the neck of my camel. I thought he needed something, so I accompanied him. We continued until we were away from the people, and he alighted from his animal and then went away until I could not see him. He stayed away for a long time, then he came back and asked: O Mughira, do you have any water? I said: Yes. So I went to a nearby well or a suspended waterskin at the end of the camel. I brought him water and he poured it on his hands, then he washed them well. He said: I doubt whether he said: Did he wipe his hands with dust or not? Then he washed his face. Then he turned his hands over and there was a narrow Syrian cloak on them, and it became tight. So he pulled his hands out from under it, and he washed his face and hands. He said: Does the hadith mention washing the face twice? He said: I do not know if it was like this or not. Then he wiped his face with his index fingers and wiped his turban and wiped his socks. Then we rode and caught up with the people, and the prayer had already been established. They were led by Abdullah ibn Awf, and he had already prayed one rak'ah with them while they were in the second rak'ah. So I went to give the Adhan and he prohibited me, so we prayed the rak'ah that we had caught up with and we made up the rak'ah that we had missed.

[Machine] We asked, "Was the Prophet's mother a man from this nation other than Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq?" He replied, "Yes, we were on a journey to a certain place, and when it became late, the Messenger of Allah struck his animal's neck and set off. I followed him, but he disappeared from me for an hour. Then he came and asked, 'What do you need?' I said, 'I have no need, O Messenger of Allah.' He asked, 'Do you have any water?' I said, 'Yes.' So I poured water for him, and he washed his hands, then washed his face. Then he went to wash his forearms, but his sleeve was tight, so he put his hands underneath the sleeve, washed his face again, washed his forearms, wiped over his forehead, wiped over his turban and his shoes. Then we joined the people, and the prayer had already started. Abdur Rahman ibn Awf was leading them, and he had already prayed one Rak'ah. So I went to give the Adhan, but he stopped me. We prayed the prayer that we had caught up with, and we made up the prayer that we had missed."

[Machine] We were with Al-Mughirah ibn Shu'bah and he was asked, "Did the Prophet ﷺ have children from any other woman of this Ummah except Abu Bakr?" He said, "Yes." He then added a detail to this statement that made the narration more reliable. He said, "We were with the Prophet ﷺ while we were traveling. When it was time for the magical spell, he struck the neck of my camel. I thought he needed something, so I went to him and stayed with him until we were away from the people. He then dismounted from his camel and started to walk in a way that I could not see him. He stayed away for a long time, then he came back and asked, 'Do you have any water, O Mughirah?' I said, 'Yes.' So I went near a water container hanging at the back of the camel and brought it to him. He poured the water on his hands and washed them properly. I also noticed that he wiped his hands with soil and then washed his face. He then wiped his hands on his Turban, wiped it on his feet, and then started to put on a tight Sham'iyah cloak. It became too tight, so he took out his hands from under it to wash his face and hands, as if washing his face twice. I do not know if this is how the washing was done or not. Then, he wiped his fingers and wiped over his Turban, wiped over his shoes, and we then mounted our camels. We caught up with the people and they had already performed the prayer. 'Abdul-Rahman ibn 'Awf led them in prayer, and he had prayed one Rak'ah while they were in the second Rak'ah. I went forward to call the Adhan for him, but he gestured to me not to. So, we performed the Rak'ah that we had missed and then completed what they had already prayed.

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ hit my back with a stick that he had with him, and I straightened up. I kept straightening up until we reached a point on the earth that I did not know where it was. Then he stopped and I got off. He disappeared from my sight, and then he came and asked, "Do you have any water?" I had a small water container with me, so I poured it over him. He washed his hands and his face, and then he went to wash his arms. He was wearing a tight Syrian cloak with narrow sleeves. He pulled his hands out from under the cloak and washed his hands, face, and arms. Ibn 'Awn mentioned that he wiped something from the top of his head and his turban, but I don't know if I got it right or not. He also wiped over his slippers, and then he asked, "What do you need?" I said, "O Messenger of Allah, I have no need." Then we set off and reached the people, and Ibn 'Awf had already led them in the Fajr prayer. He prayed one unit of prayer with them, and I went to inform him that the Prophet prevented me from calling the adhan. So we prayed whatever we had missed, and we made up what we had come late for.

[Machine] I asked Al-Mughirah bin Shu'bah, "Did the Messenger of Allah ﷺ adopt anyone other than Abu Bakr as a son?" He said, "Yes, I was with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on a journey, and when it was time for magic, he tied my camel and tied himself with me. He fulfilled his needs and then said, 'O Mughirah, do you have any need?' I said, 'I have no need.' He said, 'Do you have water?' So, he called for a container or a shallow vessel and washed his hands and face. Then, he began to untie the cuffs of his sleeves, but the sleeve of a Syrian garment that he was wearing became tight. So, he took his hands out from under the garment, washed them, wiped his forehead, and wiped on his socks. Then, we joined the people, and the prayer had already been established, led by Abdur-Rahman bin Awf. He had already prayed with them one Rak'ah, so I made the call to prayer and he stopped me. We prayed what we caught up with and then completed what we had missed."

[Machine] We were traveling with the Prophet ﷺ, and when it was nighttime, he halted his camel and I thought that he had a need, so I offered to assist him. He went away from the people and got off his camel. Then he disappeared from my sight for a while, and when he returned, he asked, "Do you have water?" I replied, "Yes," and poured water for him. He washed his hands perfectly and then washed his face. He went back to feeling troubled about something on his arm, and he was wearing a narrow, Damascene cloak with tight sleeves that constricted him. He tried to remove his hand from under it, and in doing so, he washed his face and hands again. He mentioned in the narration that he washed his face twice, but I do not know whether he meant this as a description. Then he wiped the back of his head, wiped over his turban, and wiped over his two sandals. Then we mounted our camels.
