"The Messenger of Allah said to a woman from among the Ansar: 'When it is Ramadan, perform 'Umrah then, for 'Umrah during it is equivalent to Hajj."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ لاِمْرَأَةٍ مِنَ الأَنْصَارِ إِذَا كَانَ رَمَضَانُ فَاعْتَمِرِي فِيهِ فَإِنَّ عُمْرَةً فِيهِ تَعْدِلُ حَجَّةً

“ ‘Umrah during Ramadan is equivalent to Hajj (i.e. in reward).”

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ عُمْرَةٌ فِي رَمَضَانَ تَعْدِلُ حِجَّةً

‘ ‘Umrah during Ramadan is equivalent to Hajj (i.e., in reward).’”

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ عُمْرَةٌ فِي رَمَضَانَ تَعْدِلُ حِجَّةً

“ ‘Umrah during Ramadan is equivalent to Hajj.”

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ عُمْرَةٌ فِي رَمَضَانَ تَعْدِلُ حِجَّةً

“Umrah during Ramadan is equivalent to Hajj.”

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ عُمْرَةٌ فِي رَمَضَانَ تَعْدِلُ حِجَّةً

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ said: "An Umrah in Ramadan is equivalent to a Hajj."

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ: «عُمْرَةٌ فِي رَمَضَانَ تَعْدِلُ حِجَّةً».

[AI] The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said to a woman, "Perform 'Umrah during Ramadan, for a 'Umrah in Ramadan equals a Hajj in reward."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ لِامْرَأَةٍ «اعْتَمِرِي فِي رَمَضَانَ فَإِنَّ عُمْرَةً فِي رَمَضَانَ تَعْدِلُ حَجَّةً»

[AI] I was sitting with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ when a woman came to him and said, "O Messenger of Allah, in which months should I perform Umrah?" He said, "Perform Umrah in Ramadan, for verily Umrah in Ramadan is equal to Hajj."

كُنْتُ جَالِسًا عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَأَتَتْهُ امْرَأَةٌ فَقَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ فِي أَيِّ الشُّهُورِ أَعْتَمِرُ؟ قَالَ اعْتَمِرِي فِي رَمَضَانَ فَإِنَّ عُمْرَةً فِي رَمَضَانَ تَعْدِلُ حَجَّةً

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عُمْرَةٌ فِي رَمَضَانَ تَعْدِلُ حَجَّةً

[AI] My mother wanted to perform Hajj, and her camel was splendid. This was mentioned to the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ , and he said, "Perform 'Umrah in Ramadan, for an 'Umrah in Ramadan equals a Hajj."

أَرَادَتْ أُمِّي الْحَجَّ وَكَانَ جَمَلُهَا أَعْجَفَ فَذُكِرَ ذَلِكَ لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ اعْتَمِرِي فِي رَمَضَانَ فَإِنَّ عُمْرَةً فِي رَمَضَانَ كَحَجَّةٍ

[AI] He said, "O Messenger of Allah, indeed my mother was unable to perform Hajj with you." He said, "She should perform 'Umrah in Ramadan, for 'Umrah in Ramadan is like performing Hajj."

أَنَّهُ قَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنَّ أُمَّ مَعْقِلٍ فَاتَهَا الْحَجُّ مَعَكَ قَالَ فَخَرَجَتْ حِينَ فَاتَهَا الْحَجُّ مَعَكَ قَالَ فَلْتَعْتَمِرْ فِي رَمَضَانَ فَإِنَّ عُمْرَةً فِي رَمَضَانَ كَحَجَّةٍ

Ibn 'Umar (Allah be pleased with both of them) reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to observe i'tikaf in the last ten days of Ramadan. (Using translation from Muslim 1171a)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ يَعْتَكِفُ الْعَشْرَ الْأَوَاخِرَ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ

[AI] My mother wanted to perform Hajj and her camel was once amazed, so she mentioned it to the Prophet ﷺ who said, "Perform 'Umrah in Ramadan, for 'Umrah in Ramadan is equal to Hajj."

أَرَادَتْ أُمِّي الْحَجَّ وَكَانَ جَمَلُهَا أَعْجَفَ فَذَكَرَتْ ذَلِكَ لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ اعْتَمِرِي فِي رَمَضَانَ فَإِنَّ عُمْرَةً فِي رَمَضَانَ كَحَجَّةٍ

[AI] She said, "O messenger of Allah, I want to perform Hajj and my camel is pregnant. What do you advise me?" He said, "Perform 'Umrah in Ramadan, for an 'Umrah in Ramadan equals a Hajj."

أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنِّي أُرِيدُ الْحَجَّ وَجَمَلِي أَعْجَفُ فَمَا تَأْمُرُنِي؟ قَالَ اعْتَمِرِي فِي رَمَضَانَ فَإِنَّ عُمْرَةً فِي رَمَضَانَ تَعْدِلُ حَجَّةً

[AI] I wanted to perform Hajj, but my camel became weak. So, I asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he said, "Perform Umrah in the month of Ramadan, for an Umrah in Ramadan is equivalent to a Hajj."

أَرَدْتُ الْحَجَّ فَضَلَّ بَعِيرِي فَسَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ اعْتَمِرِي فِي شَهْرِ رَمَضَانَ فَإِنَّ عُمْرَةً فِي شَهْرِ رَمَضَانَ تَعْدِلُ حَجَّةً

“ ‘Umrah during Ramadan is equivalent to Hajj (i.e. in reward).” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 2991)

أَنَّهَا سَأَلَتْ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ عُمْرَةٌ فِي رَمَضَانَ تَعْدِلُ حَجَّةً

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «عُمْرَةٌ فِي رَمَضَانَ تَعْدِلُ حَجَّةً»

[AI] He heard the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , say: "An Umrah in Ramadan is equivalent to performing Hajj with me."

أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ «عُمْرَةٌ فِي رَمَضَانَ كَحَجَّةٍ مَعِي»

[AI] That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Observing Iʿtikāf (seclusion for worship) for ten days in Ramadan is like performing two Hajj pilgrimages and two Umrah pilgrimages."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «اعْتِكَافُ عَشْرٍ فِي رَمَضَانَ كَحَجَّتَيْنِ وَعُمْرَتَيْنِ»

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ said to a man and a woman from the Ansar: "Perform Umrah in the month of Ramadan, for Umrah during this month is equivalent to Hajj."

قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ لِرَجُلٍ وَامْرَأَةٍ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ اعْتَمِرَا فِي شَهْرِ رَمَضَانَ فَإِنَّ عُمْرَةً فِيهِ كَحَجَّةٍ

[AI] She asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , "What is an equivalent to Hajj?" He said, "Performing Umrah in Ramadan is equivalent to Hajj."

أَنَّهَا سَأَلَتْ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ مَا يَعْدِلُ الْحَجَّ؟ قَالَ «عُمْرَةٌ فِي رَمَضَانَ تَعْدِلُ حَجَّةً»

[AI] I said, "O Messenger of Allah, I have vowed to perform Hajj, but I have a non-viable camel." He said, "Perform 'Umrah in Ramadan, for 'Umrah in Ramadan is equivalent to Hajj."

قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنِّي نَذَرْتُ أَنْ أَحُجَّ وَلِي جَمَلٌ أَعْجَفُ فَقَالَ «اعْتَمِرِي فِي رَمَضَانَ فَإِنَّ عُمْرَةً فِي رَمَضَانَ كَحَجَّةٍ»

[AI] I said, "O Messenger of Allah, I want to perform Hajj, and my camel is unable to carry me." He said, "Perform 'Umrah in Ramadan, as the 'Umrah in Ramadan is equal to Hajj."

قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنِّي أُرِيدُ الْحَجَّ وَجَمَلِي أَعْجَفُ فَقَالَ «اعْتَمِرِي فِي رَمَضَانَ فَإِنَّ عُمْرَةً فِي رَمَضَانَ كَحَجَّة»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Perform 'Umrah during Ramadan, for it is equal to Hajj."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «اعْتَمِرِي فِي رَمَضَانَ فَإِنَّهَا تَعْدِلُ حَجَّةً»

"إذا كانَ رمضانُ فاعْتمرِى فيه، فإنَّ عُمْرةً فيه تَعْدِلُ حجَّةً".
