from the Prophet ﷺ who said: “Indeed, Allah, Exalted is He, says: ‘O son of Adam, devote yourself to My worship; I will fill your chest with richness and I will suffice your poverty. But if you do not, I will fill your hands with preoccupation and I will not suffice your poverty.’”

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ: «إِنَّ اللَّهَ تَعَالَى يَقُولُ: (يَا ابْنَ آدَمَ تَفَرَّغْ لِعِبَادَتِي، أَمْلأْ صَدْرَكَ غِنًى، وَأَسُدَّ فَقْرَكَ، وَإِلاَّ تَفْعَلْ مَلأْتُ يَدَيْكَ شُغْلاً وَلَمْ أَسُدَّ فَقْرَكَ)».

[AI] I do not know it except that he raised it. He said: Allah, Glorified and Exalted, says: “O son of Adam, devote yourself to My worship; I will fill your chest with richness and will alleviate your poverty. But if you do not, I will fill your chest with preoccupation and I will not alleviate your poverty.”

وَلاَ أَعْلَمُهُ إِلاَّ قَدْ رَفَعَهُ قَالَ يَقُولُ اللَّهُ سُبْحَانَهُ يَا ابْنَ آدَمَ تَفَرَّغْ لِعِبَادَتِي أَمْلأْ صَدْرَكَ غِنًى وَأَسُدَّ فَقْرَكَ وَإِنْ لَمْ تَفْعَلْ مَلأْتُ صَدْرَكَ شُغْلاً وَلَمْ أَسُدَّ فَقْرَكَ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said—meaning that Allah, the Exalted, said: “Son of Adam, devote yourself fully to My worship; I will fill your chest with richness and will alleviate your poverty. But if you do not, I will fill your chest with preoccupation, and I will not alleviate your poverty.”

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَعْنِي قَالَ اللهُ ﷻ ابْنَ آدَمَ تَفَرَّغْ لِعِبَادَتِي أَمْلَأْ صَدْرَكَ غِنًى وَأَسُدَّ فَقْرَكَ وَإِلَّا تَفْعَلْ مَلَأْتُ صَدْرَكَ شُغْلًا وَلَمْ أَسُدَّ فَقْرَكَ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ recited: “Whoever desires the harvest of the Hereafter, We will increase for him his harvest; and whoever desires the harvest of this world, We will give him of it, but he will have no share in the Hereafter” [Ash-Shura 20]. Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Allah, the Exalted, says: “Son of Adam, devote yourself to My worship; I will fill your chest with richness and I will alleviate your poverty. But if you do not do so, I will fill your chest with preoccupation and I will not alleviate your poverty.”

تَلَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ {مَنْ كَانَ يُرِيدُ حَرْثَ الْآخِرَةِ نَزِدْ لَهُ فِي حَرْثِهِ وَمَنْ كَانَ يُرِيدُ حَرْثَ الدُّنْيَا نُؤْتِهِ مِنْهَا وَمَا لَهُ فِي الْآخِرَةِ مِنْ نَصِيبٍ} [الشورى 20] ثُمَّ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ اللَّهُ ﷻ ابْنَ آدَمَ تَفَرَّغْ لِعِبَادَتِي امْلَأْ صَدْرَكَ غِنًى وَأَسُدَّ فَقْرَكَ وَإِلَّا تَفْعَلْ مَلَأْتُ صَدْرَكَ شُغْلًا وَلَمْ أَسُدَّ فَقْرَكَ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Your Lord, blessed and exalted, says: ‘O son of Adam, devote yourself to My worship; I will fill your heart with richness and fill your hands with provision. O son of Adam, do not distance yourself from Me, lest I fill your heart with poverty and fill your hands with preoccupation.’”

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ رَبُّكُمْ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى يَا ابْنَ آدَمَ تَفَرَّغْ لِعِبَادَتِي أَمْلَأْ قَلْبَكَ غِنًى وَأَمْلَأْ يَدَيْكَ رِزْقًا يَا ابْنَ آدَمَ لَا تَبَاعَدْ مِنِّي فَأَمْلَأْ قَلْبَكَ فَقْرًا وَأَمْلَأْ يَدَيْكَ شُغْلًا

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ said: “Indeed Allah, Mighty and Exalted, says: ‘O son of Adam, devote yourself to My worship; I will fill your chest with richness and I will suffice your poverty. But if you do not, I will fill your hands with preoccupations and I will not suffice your poverty.’”

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «إِنَّ اللَّهَ جَلَّ وَعَلَا يَقُولُ يَا ابْنَ آدَمَ تَفَرَّغْ لِعِبَادَتِي أَمْلَأْ صَدْرَكَ غِنًى وَأَسُدَّ فَقْرَكَ وَإِنْ لَا تَفْعَلْ مَلَأْتُ يَدَكَ شُغْلًا وَلَمْ أَسُدَّ فَقْرَكَ»

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Your Lord, the Exalted, says, "O Son of Adam, devote yourself to My worship, and I will fill your heart with contentment and your hands with provision. O Son of Adam, do not distance yourself from Me, for then I will fill your heart with poverty and your hands with occupation."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ رَبُّكُمْ تَعَالَى «ابْنَ آدَمَ تَفَرَّغْ لِعِبَادَتِي أَمْلَأْ قَلْبَكَ غِنًى وَامْلَأْ يَدَيْكَ رِزْقًا ابْنَ آدَمَ لَا تَبَاعَدْ عَنِّي فَأَمْلَأْ قَلْبَكَ فَقْرًا وَأَمْلَأْ يَدَيْكَ شُغْلًا»

[AI] Allah, Exalted is He, says: “O world, be bitter to the believer so that he may be patient with you, and do not be sweet to him lest you tempt him. Son of Adam, devote yourself to My worship; I will fill your heart with richness and will satisfy your need. But if you do not, I will fill it with preoccupation and I will not satisfy your need.”

يَقُولُ اللَّهُ ﷻ يَا دُنْيَا مُرِّي عَلَى الْمُؤْمِنِ فَيَصْبِرَ عَلَيْكِ وَلَا تَحْلَوْلِي لَهُ فَتَفْتِنِيهِ ابْنَ آدَمَ تَفَرَّغْ لِعِبَادَتِي أَمْلَأْ قَلْبَكَ غِنًى وَأَسُدَّ فَاقَتَكَ وَإِلَّا تَفْعَلْ مَلَأْتُهُ شُغْلًا وَلَمْ أَسُدَّ فَاقَتَكَ

“I do not know except that he attributed it to the Prophet ﷺ” – “Allah says: ‘O son of Adam, devote yourself to My worship, and I will fill your heart with contentment and take care of your poverty; but if you do not do that, then I will fill your heart with worldly concerns and will not take care of your poverty.’” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 4107)

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ اللَّهُ ﷻ ابْنَ آدَمَ تَفَرَّغْ لِعِبَادَتِي أَمْلَأْ صَدْرَكَ غِنًى وَأَسُدَّ فَقْرَكَ وَإِلَّا تَفْعَلْ مَلَأْتُ صَدْرَكَ شُغْلًا وَلَمْ أَسُدَّ فَقْرَكَ

"Indeed Allah, Most High said: 'O son of Adam! Devote yourself to My worship, I will fill your chest with riches and alleviate your poverty. And if you do not do so, then I will fill your hands with problems and not alleviate your poverty.'" (Using translation from Tirmidhī 2466)

"إِن الله يَقُولُ: يَا ابْنَ آدَمَ تَفَرَّغ لِعِبَادَتى أمْلأ صَدْرَكَ غِنى، وأسُدُّ فَقْرَكَ، وإلا تَفْعَلْ مَلأتُ يَدَيكَ شُغْلًا، وَلَمْ أَسُد فَقرَكَ".
