'Abdullah reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When there are three people, two should not converse together to the exclusion of the third."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا كَانُوا ثَلاَثَةً فَلاَ يَتَنَاجَى اثْنَانِ دُونَ الثَّالِثِ

'Abdullah reported that the Prophet ﷺ said, "When there are three people, two should not converse together to the exclusion of the third for that would grieve him."

قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ إِذَا كُنْتُمْ ثَلاَثَةً فَلاَ يَتَنَاجَى اثْنَانِ دُونَ الثَّالِثِ فَإِنَّهُ يُحْزِنُهُ ذَلِكَ

the Prophet ﷺ said, "When there are three persons, then two of them should not speak privately excluding the third."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ: «إِذَا كَانُوا ثَلاَثَةٌ فَلاَ يَتَنَاجَى اثْنَانِ دُونَ الثَّالِثِ۔»

When there are three (persons), two should not converse secretly between themselves to the exclusion of the (third) one.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا كَانَ ثَلاَثَةٌ فَلاَ يَتَنَاجَى اثْنَانِ دُونَ وَاحِدٍ

If you are three, two amongst you should not converse secretly between yourselves to the exclusion of the other (third one), unti some other people join him (and dispel his loneliness), for it may hurt his feelings.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِذَا كُنْتُمْ ثَلاَثَةً فَلاَ يَتَنَاجَى اثْنَانِ دُونَ الآخَرِ حَتَّى تَخْتَلِطُوا بِالنَّاسِ مِنْ أَجْلِ أَنْ يُحْزِنَهُ

If you are three, two should not converse secretly to the exclusion of your companion for that hurts his feelings.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِذَا كُنْتُمْ ثَلاَثَةً فَلاَ يَتَنَاجَى اثْنَانِ دُونَ صَاحِبِهِمَا فَإِنَّ ذَلِكَ يُحْزِنُهُ

Two persons should not talk privately ignoring the third, for that will grieve him.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ لاَ يَنْتَجِي اثْنَانِ دُونَ الثَّالِثِ فَإِنَّ ذَلِكَ يُحْزِنُهُ

that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Whenever there are three of you, then let two not converse in exclusion of their companion."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِذَا كُنْتُمْ ثَلاَثَةً فَلاَ يَتَنَاجَى اثْنَانِ دُونَ صَاحِبِهِمَا وَقَالَ سُفْيَانُ فِي حَدِيثِهِ لاَ يَتَنَاجَى اثْنَانِ دُونَ الثَّالِثِ فَإِنَّ ذَلِكَ يُحْزِنُهُ

"When you are three, two should not converse (privately) to the exclusion of their companion, because that makes him sad."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِذَا كُنْتُمْ ثَلاَثَةً فَلاَ يَتَنَاجَى اثْنَانِ دُونَ صَاحِبِهِمَا فَإِنَّ ذَلِكَ يُحْزِنُهُ

"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade two to converse (privately) to the exclusion of a third."

نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنْ يَتَنَاجَى اثْنَانِ دُونَ الثَّالِثِ

"When you are three, two should not converse (privately) to the exclusion of their companion, because that makes him sad." (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 3775)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «إِذَا كُنْتُمْ ثَلَاثَةً فَلَا يَتَنَاجَى اثْنَانِ دُونَ صَاحِبِهِمَا فَإِنَّ ذَلِكَ يُحْزِنُهُ»

the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Whoever is silent, he is saved.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «مَنْ صَمَتَ نَجَا»

"When you are three, two should not converse (privately) to the exclusion of their companion, because that makes him sad." (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 3775)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا كُنْتُمْ ثَلَاثَةً فَلَا يَتَنَاجَان اثْنَانِ دُونَ صَاحِبِهِمَا فَإِنَّ ذَلِكَ يَحْزُنُهُ

"When you are three, two should not converse (privately) to the exclusion of their companion, because that makes him sad." (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 3775)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا كُنْتُمْ ثَلَاثَةً فَلَا يَتَنَاجَ اثْنَانِ دُونَ وَاحِدٍ فَإِنَّ ذَلِكَ يُحْزِنُهُ

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ said, "If you are three, do not have a private conversation excluding the third person, as that would distress him. And a woman should not approach or communicate with another woman and then describe her to her husband as if he is looking at her."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا كُنْتُمْ ثَلَاثَةً فَلَا يَتَنَاجَى اثْنَانِ دُونَ صَاحِبِهِمَا فَإِنَّ ذَلِكَ يَحْزُنُهُ وَلَا تُبَاشِرُ الْمَرْأَةُ الْمَرْأَةَ ثُمَّ تَنْعَتُهَا لِزَوْجِهَا حَتَّى كَأَنَّهُ يَنْظُرُ إِلَيْهَا

[AI] From the Prophet ﷺ that he said: "When you are three, do not have a private conversation that excludes the third person, as it will hurt him. And a woman should not describe another woman to her husband as if he is looking at her."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ قَالَ إِذَا كُنْتُمْ ثَلَاثَةً فَلَا يَتَنَاجَى اثْنَانِ دُونَ صَاحِبِهِمَا فَإِنَّ ذَلِكَ يَحْزُنُهُ وَلَا تُبَاشِرُ الْمَرْأَةُ الْمَرْأَةَ تَنْعَتُهَا لِزَوْجِهَا كَأَنَّهُ يَنْظُرُ إِلَيْهَا

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا كُنْتُمْ ثَلَاثَةً فَلَا يَتَنَاجَ اثْنَانِ دُونَ وَاحِدٍ

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ said, "Two should not have a private conversation excluding the third."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ لَا يَتَسَارَّ اثْنَانِ دُونَالثَّالِثِ

[AI] On the authority of the Prophet ﷺ, he said, "When you are three, then two should not converse privately, excluding their companion." They said, "What if they are four?" He said, "It will not harm."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا كُنْتُمْ ثَلَاثَةً فَلَايَنْتَجِي اثْنَانِ دُونَ صَاحِبِهِمَا قَالَ قُلْنَا فَإِنْ كَانُوا أَرْبَعًا؟ قَالَ فَلَا يَضُرُّ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When you are three, do not hold a private conversation excluding the third person." So I said to Ibn Umar, "What if they are four?" He said, "There is no harm in that."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا كُنْتُمْ ثَلَاثَةً فَلَا يَتَنَاجَ اثْنَانِ دُونَ وَاحِدٍ قَالَ فَقُلْتُ لِابْنِ عُمَرَ فَإِذَا كَانُوا أَرْبَعَةً قَالَ فَلَا بَأْسَ بِهِ

[AI] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: "If you are three people, let not two of you have a private conversation excluding the third."

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ إِذَا كُنْتُمْ ثَلَاثَةً فَلَا يَنْتَجِي اثْنَانِ دُونَ وَاحِدٍ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Two should not hold a secret conversation excluding a third."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَا يَتَنَاجَى اثْنَانِ دُونَ وَاحِدٍ

When there are three (persons), two should not converse secretly between themselves to the exclusion of the (third) one. (Using translation from Muslim 2183a)

ابْنُ عُمَرَ اسْتَأْخِرَا فَإِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا كَانُوا ثَلَاثَةً فَلَا يَتَنَاجَى اثْنَانِ دُونَ وَاحِدٍ

[AI] The translation of the given sentence is:

"The Messenger of Allahﷺ used to forbid when there were three individuals that two should hold a private conversation excluding the third."

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَنْهَى إِذَا كَانَ ثَلَاثَةُ نَفَرٍ أَنْ يَتَنَاجَى اثْنَانِ دُونَ الثَّالِثِ

"When you are three, two should not converse (privately) to the exclusion of their companion, because that makes him sad." (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 3775)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا كُنْتُمْ ثَلَاثَةً فَلَا يَتَنَاجَيَنَّ اثْنَانِ دُونَ صَاحِبِهِمَا

When there are three (persons), two should not converse secretly between themselves to the exclusion of the (third) one. (Using translation from Muslim 2183a)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا كَانَ ثَلَاثَةٌ جَمِيعًا فَلَا يَتَنَاجَ اثْنَانِ دُونَ الثَّالِثِ

This tradition has also been transmitted by Sa'd (b. Abi Waqqas) from the Prophet ﷺ in a similar manner through a different chain of narrators. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 1470)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ

Malik related to me from Nafi from Abdullah ibn Umar that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Two must not converse secretly to the exclusion of another person."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا كَانَ ثَلاَثَةٌ فَلاَ يَتَنَاجَى اثْنَانِ دُونَ وَاحِدٍ

[AI] The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said, "The child of adultery is the worst of the three."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «وَلَدَ الزِّنَا شَرُّ الثَّلَاثَةِ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The offspring of adultery is the worst of the three."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «وَلَدُ الزِّنَا شَرُّ الثَّلَاثَةِ»

"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade two to converse (privately) to the exclusion of a third." (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 3776)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «لَا يَتَنَاجَى اثْنَانِ دُونَ الثَالِثٍ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Two should not converse secretly without a third person."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «لَا يَتَنَاجَى اثْنَانِ دُونَ وَاحِدٍ»

"When you are three, two should not converse (privately) to the exclusion of their companion, because that makes him sad." (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 3775)

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «إِذَا كُنْتُمْ ثَلَاثَةً فَلَا يَتَنَاجَى اثْنَانِ دُونَ صَاحِبِهِمَا حَتَّى يَخْتَلِطُوا بِالنَّاسِ فَإِنَّ ذَلِكَ يُحْزِنُهُ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Two people should not have a private conversation excluding their companion, as it would sadden him." Abu Salih said, so I asked Ibn Umar, "What if there are four people?" He replied, "It would not harm you."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «لَا يَتَنَاجَى اثْنَانِ دُونَ صَاحِبِهِمَا فَإِنَّ ذَلِكَ يُحْزِنُهُ» قَالَ أَبُو صَالِحٍ فَقُلْتُ لِابْنِ عُمَرَ فَأَرْبَعَةٌ؟ قَالَ لَا يَضُرُّكَ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Do not urinate while standing."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «لَا تَبُلْ قَائِمًا»

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا كَانُوا ثَلَاثَةً فَلَا يَتَنَاجَى اثْنَانِ دُونَ الثَّالِثِ

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا كُنْتُمْ ثَلَاثَةً فَلَا يَتَنَاجَى اثْنَانِ دُونَ الثَّالِثِ

عَن النَّبِيّ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا كُنْتُمْ ثَلاثَةً فَلاَ يَتَنَاجَى اثْنَانِ دُونَ صَاحِبِهِمَا وَنَهَى أَنْ يُقِيمَ الرَّجُلُ الرَّجُلَ من مجلسه فيجلس فيه

أَن النَّبِيّ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا كَانُوا ثَلاثَةً فَلاَ يَتَنَاجَى اثْنَانِ دُونَ الثَّالِث وَإِذَا كَانُوا ثلاثة في سفر فليؤمهم أحدهم

[AI] "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to pray the middle third of the night."

«نَفَلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ الثُّلُثَ»

The Prophet ﷺ said: Do not curse the cock, for it awakens for prayer. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 5101)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «لَا تَسُبُّوا الدِّيكَ»

[AI] "If you are three on a journey, then let one of you take charge and let not two others converse without including the third."

«إِذَا كُنْتُمْ ثَلَاثَةً فِي سَفَرٍ فَأَمِّرُوا عَلَيْكُمْ أَحَدَكُمْ وَلَا يَتَنَاجَى اثْنَانِ دُونَ صَاحِبِهِمَا»

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ said, "When three people gather together, two should not engage in private conversation to the exclusion of the third, as this would grieve him."

قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «إِذَا اجْتَمَعَ ثَلَاثَةٌ فَلَا يَتَنَاجَى اثْنَانِ دُونَ الثَّالِثِ؛ فَإِنَّ ذَلِكَ يُحْزِنُهُ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Two should not hold a secret conversation excluding the third."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «لَا يَتَنَاجَى اثْنَانِ دُونَ الثَّالِثِ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The one who prepares is from the third."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «الْمُدَبَّرُ مِنَ الثُّلُثِ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Do not walk naked."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «لَا تَمْشِ عُرْيَانًا»
