AbdurRahman ibn Hasanah reported: I and Amr ibn al-'As went to the Prophet ﷺ. He came out with a leather shield (in his hand). He covered himself with it and urinated. Then we said: Look at him. He is urinating as a woman does. The Prophet ﷺ, heard this and said: Do you not know what befell a person from amongst Banu Isra'il (the children of Israel)? When urine fell on them, they would cut off the place where the urine fell; but he (that person) forbade them (to do so), and was punished in his grave. Abu Dawud said: One version of Abu Musa has the wording: "he cut off his skin". Another version of Abu Musa goes: "he cut off (part of) his body."  

انْطَلَقْتُ أَنَا وَعَمْرُو بْنُ الْعَاصِ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَخَرَجَ وَمَعَهُ دَرَقَةٌ ثُمَّ اسْتَتَرَ بِهَا ثُمَّ بَالَ فَقُلْنَا انْظُرُوا إِلَيْهِ يَبُولُ كَمَا تَبُولُ الْمَرْأَةُ فَسَمِعَ ذَلِكَ فَقَالَ أَلَمْ تَعْلَمُوا مَا لَقِيَ صَاحِبُ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ كَانُوا إِذَا أَصَابَهُمُ الْبَوْلُ قَطَعُوا مَا أَصَابَهُ الْبَوْلُ مِنْهُمْ فَنَهَاهُمْ فَعُذِّبَ فِي قَبْرِهِ  

"The Messenger of Allah came out to us holding a small shield in his hand. He put it down, then he sat down and urinated towards it. Some of the people said: 'Look at him, he urinates like a woman!' The Prophet heard that and said: 'Woe to you! Do you not know what happened to one of the children of Israel? If any urine touched any part of their clothes, they would cut that out with scissors. He told them not to do that, so he was tormented in his grave.'" (Da'if) Another chain with similar wording.  

خَرَجَ عَلَيْنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَفِي يَدِهِ الدَّرَقَةُ فَوَضَعَهَا ثُمَّ جَلَسَ فَبَالَ إِلَيْهَا فَقَالَ بَعْضُهُمُ انْظُرُوا إِلَيْهِ يَبُولُ كَمَا تَبُولُ الْمَرْأَةُ فَسَمِعَهُ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ فَقَالَ وَيْحَكَ أَمَا عَلِمْتَ مَا أَصَابَ صَاحِبَ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ كَانُوا إِذَا أَصَابَهُمُ الْبَوْلُ قَرَضُوهُ بِالْمَقَارِيضِ فَنَهَاهُمْ عَنْ ذَلِكَ فَعُذِّبَ فِي قَبْرِهِ قَالَ أَبُو الْحَسَنِ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو حَاتِمٍ حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُوسَى أَنْبَأَنَا الأَعْمَشُ فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَهُ

خَرَجَ عَلَيْنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَفِي يَدِهِ كَهَيْئَةِ الدَّرَقَةِ قَالَ فَوَضَعَهَا ثُمَّ جَلَسَ فَبَالَ إِلَيْهِ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ فَقَالَ بَعْضُ الْقَوْمِ انْظُرُوا إِلَيْهِ يَبُولُ كَمَا تَبُولُ الْمَرْأَةُ قَالَ فَسَمِعَهُ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ فَقَالَ وَيْحَكَ أَمَا عَلِمْتَ مَا أَصَابَ صَاحِبَ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ؟ كَانُوا إِذَا أَصَابَهُمْ شَيْءٌ مِنَ الْبَوْلِ قَرَضُوهُ بِالْمَقَارِيضِ فَنَهَاهُمْ فَعُذِّبَ فِي قَبْرِهِ  

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , came out to us and he had a vessel or something similar with him, so he covered himself with it. He urinated while sitting. We said, "Does the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , urinate as a woman does?" He came before us and said, "Don't you know what befell a man from the Children of Israel? When some urine splashed on him, he cleaned it with soil. They were forbidden to do that, so he was punished in his grave."  

فَخَرَجَ عَلَيْنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَمَعَهُ دَرَقَةٌ أَوْ شِبْهُهَا فَاسْتَتَرَ بِهَا فَبَالَ جَالِسًا قَالَ فَقُلْنَا أَيَبُولُ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ كَمَا تَبُولُ الْمَرْأَةُ؟ قَالَ فَجَاءَنَا فَقَالَ أَوَمَا عَلِمْتُمْ مَا أَصَابَ صَاحِبَ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ؟ كَانَ الرَّجُلُ مِنْهُمْ إِذَا أَصَابَهُ الشَّيْءُ مِنَالْبَوْلِ قَرَضَهُ فَنَهَاهُمْ عَنْ ذَلِكَ فَعُذِّبَ فِي قَبْرِهِ  

[Machine] I and Amr ibn Al-Aas set off, then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ came to us holding a utensil or something similar to it in his hand, and he covered himself with it. He urinated while sitting. So I said to my companion, "Don't you see how the Messenger of Allah ﷺ urinates like a woman?" He came to us and said, "Do you not know what happened to the companion of the children of Israel? Whenever he was afflicted with something from urine, he would perform istinja' (cleaning the private parts with water after urination) with a clump of soil." He said, "So he was forbidden from doing that, and he was punished in his grave."  

انْطَلَقْتُ أَنَا وَعَمْرُو بْنُ الْعَاصِ فَخَرَجَ عَلَيْنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَبِيَدِهِ دَرَقَةٌ أَوْ شَبِيهٌ بِالدَّرَقَةِ فَاسْتَتَرَ بِهَا فَبَالَ وَهُوَ جَالِسٌ فَقُلْتُ لِصَاحِبِي أَلَا تَرَى إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ كَيْفَ يَبُولُ كَمَا تَبُولُ الْمَرْأَةُ قَالَ فَأَتَانَا فَقَالَ «أَلَا تَدْرُونَ مَا لَقِيَ صَاحِبُ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ كَانَ إِذَا أَصَابَ أَحَدًا شَيْءٌ مِنَ الْبَوْلِ قَرَضَهُ بِالْمِقْرَاضِ» قَالَ «فَنَهَاهُمْ عَنْ ذَلِكَ فَعُذِّبَ فِي قَبْرِهِ» على شرطهما  

"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came out to us with a small leather shield in his hand. He put it down, then he sat behind it and urinated toward it. Some of the people said: 'Look, he is urinating like a woman.' He heard that and said: 'Do you not know what happened to the companion of the Children of Israel? If they got any urine on themselves they would clip that part of their garments off. Their companion told them not to do that and he was punished in his grave.'" [Machine] I and Amr ibn Al-As were sitting when the Messenger of Allah came out to us carrying a stick. He stumbled while he was sitting and we talked between ourselves, saying: he urinates like a woman. He came to us and said: "Do you know what the companion of Bani Israel went through? When they were afflicted by urine, they would cut it off, so they were forbidden to do so. But, they continued doing it and were punished in their graves. Then, Ibn Uyyinah and others added to it, so he concealed it with it, and he stumbled while he was sitting."  

كُنْتُ أَنَا وَعَمْرُو بْنُ الْعَاصِ جَالِسَيْنِ فَخَرَجَ عَلَيْنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَفِي يَدِهِ دَرَقَةٌ فَبَالَ وَهُوَ جَالِسٌ فَتَكَلَّمْنَا فِيمَا بَيْنَنَا فَقُلْنَا يَبُولُ كَمَا تَبُولُ الْمَرْأَةُ فَأَتَانَا فَقَالَ أَمَا تَدْرُونَ مَا لَقِيَ صَاحِبُ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ؟ كَانَ إِذَا أَصَابَهُمْ بَوْلٌ قَرَضُوهُ فَنَهَاهُمْ فَتَرَكُوهُ فَعُذِّبَ فِي قَبْرِهِ زَادَ فِيهِ ابْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ وَغَيْرُهُ فَاسْتَتَرَ بِهَا فَبَالَ وَهُوَ جَالِسٌ  

[Machine] I and Amr ibn al-Aas went out and the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , came out with a container of water or something like it, and he sat down and covered himself with it. While he was sitting, he started urinating. So, I said to my companion, "Look at the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , how he urinates like a woman while sitting?" So, the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , came to us and said, "Do you not know what happened to the people of Bani Israel when one of them had some urine drops on him? He was struck with a punishment in his grave."  

انْطَلَقْتُ أَنَا وَعَمْرُو بْنُ الْعَاصِ فَخَرَجَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَمَعَهُ دَرَقَةٌ أَوْ شِبْهُ الدَّرَقَةِ فَجَلَسَ فَاسْتَتَرَ بِهَا فَبَالَ وَهُوَ جَالِسٌ فَقُلْتُ أَنَا وَصَاحِبِي انْظُرْ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ كَيْفَ يَبُولُ كَمَا تَبُولُ الْمَرْأَةُ وَهُوَ جَالِسٌ؟ فَأَتَانَا فَقَالَ أَمَا عَلِمْتُمْ مَا لَقِيَ صَاحِبُ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ كَانَ إِذَا أَصَابَ أَحَدًا مِنْهُمْ شَيْءٌ مِنَ الْبَوْلِ قَرَضَهُ بِالْمِقْرَاضِ فَنَهَاهُمْ عَنْ ذَلِكَ فَعُذِّبَ فِي قَبْرِهِ  

" عَنْ عَبْد الرَّحْمَن بْنِ حَسنَةَ قَالَ: خَرَجَ عَلَيْنا النَّبِىُّ ﷺ وَفِى يَدِهِ كَهَيْئَة الدَّرَقَةِ، فَوَضَعَهَا ثُمَّ جَلَسَ فَبَالَ إِلَيْهَا، فَقَالَ بَعْضُهُمْ: انْظُرُوا إِلَيْهِ يَبُولُ كمَا تَبُولُ الْمَرْأَةُ، فَسَمِعَهُ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ فَقَالَ: وَيْحَكَ مَا عَلِمْتَ مَا أصَابَ صَاحِبَ بنى إِسْرَائِيلَ؟ كَانُوا إِذَا أَصَابَهُمُ الْبَوَلُ قَرَضُوهُ بِالمَقَارِيضِ فَنَهَاهُمْ فَتَرَكوهُ فَعُذِّبَ فىِ قَبْرِهِ".  

" بَالَ رَسُولُ الله ﷺ جَالِسًا، فَقُلْتُ: يَبُولُ كَمَا تَبُولُ الْمَرْأَةُ؟ فَقَالَ: إِنَّ بنى إسْرَائِيلَ كَانَ إِذَا أصَابَ الشَّىْءَ مِنْ أَحَدِهِم الْبَوْلُ قَرَضَهُ، فَنَهَاهُمْ صَاحِبُهُمْ، فَهُوَ يُعَذَّبُ فِى قَبْرِهِ".
