17. Hunting
١٧۔ كِتَابُ الصَّيْدِ
The Prophet ﷺ prohibited taking the price of a dog, the earnings of a soothsayer and the money earned by prostitution. (Using translation from Bukhārī 5346)
نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «عَنْ ثَمَنِ الْكَلْبِ وَمَهْرِ الْبَغِيِّ وَحُلْوَانِ الْكَاهِنِ»
The Prophet ﷺ said: The price paid for a dog, the price given to a soothsayer, and the hire paid to a prostitute are not lawful. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 3484)
قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «لَا يَحِلُّ ثَمَنُ الْكَلْبِ وَلَا حُلْوَانُ الْكَاهِنِ وَلَا مَهْرُ الْبَغِيِّ»
"The Messenger of Allah said: 'The worst of earnings arte the gift of a female fornicator, the price of a dog and the earnings of a cupper."" (Using translation from Nasāʾī 4294)
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «شَرُّ الْكَسْبِ مَهْرُ الْبَغِيِّ وَثَمَنُ الْكَلْبِ وَكَسْبُ الْحَجَّامِ»
