The above hadith has been narrated through several other chains with slight differences of wording.  

مسلم:١٨٦٩d – حَدَّثَنِي زُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عُلَيَّةَ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ وَالثَّقَفِيُّ كُلُّهُمْ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ رَافِعٍ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي فُدَيْكٍ أَخْبَرَنَا الضَّحَّاكُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عُثْمَانَ جَمِيعًا عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فِي حَدِيثِ ابْنِ عُلَيَّةَ وَالثَّقَفِيِّ فَإِنِّي أَخَافُ وَفِي حَدِيثِ سُفْيَانَ وَحَدِيثِ الضَّحَّاكِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ مَخَافَةَ أَنْ يَنَالَهُ الْعَدُوُّ
