The Prophet’s voluntary prayers

ibnkhuzaymah:1135Yaʿqūb b. Ibrāhīm al-Dawraqī and Abū Hāshim Ziyād b. Ayyūb > Hushaym > Khālid > ʿAbdullāh b. Shaqīq

[AI] I asked Aisha about the voluntary prayer of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and she said: He would pray four before Zuhr in my house, then go out and lead the people in prayer, then return to my house and pray two rakahs. He would lead the people in Maghrib, then return to my house and pray two rakahs; then he would lead them in Isha, then enter my house and pray two rakahs.

He would pray nine rakahs at night, including Witr, and when dawn appeared, he would pray two rakahs, then go out and lead the people in the Fajr prayer.
