ذِكْرُ وَصْفِ الْوِتْرِ الَّذِي إِذَا أَرَادَ الْمَرْءُ أَوْتَرَ بِهِ
It was narrated from ‘Ali ؓ that The Prophet ﷺ used to pray Witr with three raka’hs (Using translation from Aḥmad 685)
«أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ يُوتِرُ بِوَاحِدَةٍ»

Al-Bari' b. 'Azib reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ observed Qunut in the morning and evening (prayers).
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ كَانَ يَقْنُتُ فِي الصُّبْحِ وَالْمَغْرِبِ
“Glorify the name of thy Lord, the Most High.” He would say:”Glory be to Allah, the most High”. Abu Dawud said; In this tradition the other narrators have differed from the narrator Wakl. This has been narrated by Wakl, and Shu’bah from Abu Ishaq, from Sa’ld b. Jubair, from Ibn ‘Abbas as his own statement (and not from the Prophet)
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ إِذَا قَرَأَ { سَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الأَعْلَى } قَالَ سُبْحَانَ رَبِّيَ الأَعْلَى
The Prophet ﷺ used to recite in witr and he quoted the same hadith.
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ يُوتِرُ وَسَاقَ الْحَدِيثَ
“The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to perform Witr and recite: ‘Glorify the Name of your Lord the Most High.’, [Al-A’la (87)] ‘Say: O you disbelievers!” [Al-Kafirun (109)] and ‘Say: Allah is One.”. [Al-Ikhlas (112)]
كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يُوتِرُ بِ {سَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الأَعْلَى} وَ {قُلْ يَا أَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ} وَ {قُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ}

Abu Dawud said “I heard Muhammad bin Isa narrating this tradition who said Mu’tamar narrated it to us. And he (Mu’tamar) said “ I heard Al Hakam bin Aban narrating this tradition. He did not mention the name of Ibn ‘Abbas. Abu Dawud said “Al Hussain bin Huraith wrote to me saying “Al Fadl bin Musa narrated from Ibn ‘Abbas to the same effect from the Prophet ﷺ.
