[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ addressed us and said, "Indeed, this matter is within you, and you are the custodians of it. It will not cease to exist among you until you introduce changes. And when you do so, Allah will send upon you the evil of His creation, causing you to be vulnerable and feeble, just as a stick is debilitated."  

خَطَبَنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ إِنَّ هَذَا الْأَمْرَ فِيكُمْ وَإِنَّكُمْ وُلَاتُهُ وَلَنْ يَزَالَ فِيكُمْ حَتَّى تُحْدِثُوا أَعْمَالًا فَإِذَا فَعَلْتُمْ ذَلِكَ بَعَثَ اللهُ ﷻ عَلَيْكُمْ شَرَّ خَلْقِهِ فَيَلْتَحِيكُمْ كَمَا يُلْتَحَى الْقَضِيبُ  

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to the Quraysh, "This matter will always remain among you as long as you fulfill its responsibilities. But when you neglect the duties, Allah will bring upon you the worst of His creation. Then He will not remove it from you until you return to fulfilling your obligations, just as a stick is used to remove filth."  

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لِقُرَيْشٍ إِنَّ هَذَا الْأَمْرَ لَا يَزَالُ فِيكُمْ وَأَنْتُمْ وُلَاتُهُ حَتَّى تُحْدِثُوا أَعْمَالًا فَإِذَا فَعَلْتُمْ ذَلِكَ سَلَّطَ اللهُ عَلَيْكُمْ شِرَارَ خَلْقِهِ فَالْتَحَوْكُمْ كَمَايُلْتَحَى الْقَضِيبُ  

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to the Quraysh, "Verily, this matter will continue among you as long as you adhere to it and do not introduce anything new. But when you do so, Allah will unleash the worst of His creation upon you, so you will be debased just as a stick is debased."  

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لِقُرَيْشٍ إِنَّ هَذَا الْأَمْرَ لَا يَزَالُ فِيكُمْ وَأَنْتُمْ وُلَاتُهُ مَا لَمْ تُحْدِثُوا فَإِذَا فَعَلْتُمْ ذَلِكَ سَلَّطَ اللهُ عَلَيْكُمْ شِرَارَ خَلْقِهِ فَالْتَحَوْكُمْ كَمَا يُلْتَحَى الْقَضِيبُ  

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to the Quraysh, "This matter will remain with you, and you hold authority over it, as long as you do not introduce something new. If you do so, Allah will unleash upon you the worst of His creation, so you will be shaken off like a stick is shaken off."  

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لِقُرَيْشٍ «لَا يَزَالُ هَذَا الْأَمْرُ فِيكُمْ وَأَنْتُمْ وُلَاتُهُ مَا لَمْ تُحْدِثُوا فَإِذَا فَعَلْتُمْ ذَلِكَ سَلَّطَ اللهُ عَلَيْكُمْ شِرَارَ خَلْقِهِ فَالْتَحَوْكُمْ كَمَا يُلْتَحَى الْقَضِيبُ»  

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to the Quraysh, "This matter will always remain with you and your leadership as long as you do not introduce new events. If you neglect this responsibility, the worst of people will dominate you and afflict you as a stick afflicts."  

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لِقُرَيْشٍ «لَا يَزَالُ هَذَا الْأَمْرُ فِيكُمْ وَأَنْتُمْ وُلَاتُهُ مَا لَمْ تُحْدِثُوا أَحْدَاثًا فَيُسَلِّطُ عَلَيْكُمْ شِرَارَ خَلْقِهِ فَيَلْتَحُوكُمْ كَمَا يُلْتَحَى الْقَضِيبُ»  

("إِنَّ هذا الأَمْرَ لا يزالُ فيكُمْ وأَنتم ولاتُهُ مَا لمْ تُحْدثوا أَعْمَالًا، فإِذا فَعَلْتُمْ ذلك بَعَثَ اللَّه عَلَيْكُمْ شَرَّ خلقه فَلَحَبْوكُمْ كما يُلْحب الْقَضِيب" .  

"عَنِ ابنِ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ: قَالَ النَّبِىُّ ﷺ لِقُرَيْشٍ إِنَّ هَذَا الأَمْرَ فِيكُمْ وَأَنْتُمْ وُلَاتُه مَا لَمْ تُحْدِثُوا عَمَلًا يَنْزِعُهُ اللهُ مِنْكُمْ، فَإِذَا فَعَلْتُمْ ذَلِكَ سَلَّطَ اللهُ عَلَيْكُمْ شِرَارَ خَلْقِهِ فالتحوكم كما يلتحى القضيب".  

"لا يَزَالُ هَذَا الأمْرُ فيكُم وأنْتُمْ وُلاتُهُ مَا لمْ تُحْدِثُوا أعْمَالا تَنْزِعُهُ مِنكُمْ، فَإِذَا فَعَلتُم ذَلِكَ سَلَّطَ اللهُ عَلَيكم شِرَارَ خَلقِهِ فَالْتَحَوْكُمْ كَمَا يُلْتَحى هَذَا القَضِيبُ".  

"عَنْ أَبِى مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ الله ﷺ لِقُرَيْشٍ: إِنَّ هَذَا الأمْرَ لَا يَزَالُ فِيكُمْ وَأَنْتُمْ وُلاتُهُ مَا لَمْ تُحْدِثُوا أُمُورًا تَذْهَبُ بِهِ مِنْكُمْ وَفِى لَفْظٍ: يَنْتَزِعُهُ الله تَعَالَى مِنْكُمْ، فَإِذَا فَعَلَتُمْ ذَلِكَ سَلَّطَ الله تَعَالَى عَلَيْكُمْ شِرَارَ خَلقِهِ، فَيَلْتَحُوكُمْ كَمَا يُلتَحَى الْقَضِيبُ".
