3. Book of Purification (12/12)
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "There is no prayer for those who do not touch their nose to the ground."
[Machine] "There is no prayer for those whose nose did not touch the ground."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ commanded the placement of the hands and the positioning of the feet during prayer.
[Machine] "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ commanded to place the hands and position the feet in prayer."
[Machine] I was at Umm Salamah's house when a relative of hers, a young man with curly hair, entered. He stood up to pray and then blew. He said, "O my son, do not blow, for I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say to a servant of ours, Aswad, 'What a good fortune lies in your face!'"
[Machine] "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade attempting to compete with another person in their prayer."
[Machine] The translation is: "That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to say when he raised his head from prostration, 'O Lord, forgive me.'"
“When praying at night (Qiyamul-Lail), the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to say between the two prostrations: ‘Rabbighfir li warhamni wajburni warzuqni warfa’ni (O Lord, forgive me, have mercy on me, improve my situation, grant me provision and raise me in status).’” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 898)
[Machine] "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prohibited leaning during prayer."
[Machine] "He heard a peacock saying, 'I asked Ibn Abbas about iqa' (a type of bird), and he said, 'It is a sunnah (recommended act).' I said, 'We see it as detestable.' Ibn Abbas said, 'Indeed, it is a sunnah.' And it is correct to allow it on the condition mentioned by Muslim."
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ forbade a man who was sitting and leaning on his left hand during prayer, saying, "Indeed, this is the way of the Jews."
[Machine] On the authority of the Prophet ﷺ , he said, "There are two steps; one of them is more beloved to Allah and the other is more disliked by Allah. As for the step that is more beloved to Allah the Mighty and Majestic, it is a man rectifying a flaw in the row. As for the step that is more disliked by Allah, it is when a man raises his right foot to place it and firmly establishes his left foot, then stands up."
[Machine] Indeed, the Prophet, peace be upon him, used to say "Subhanal-Malikil-Qudoos" three times in a raised voice after saying the Salam. It has been narrated by Abdur-Rahman ibn Abza, who is one of those considered reliable by us, that he never met the Prophet, peace be upon him, except that his most frequent report was from Ubay ibn Ka'b and the Companions. This chain of narrators is authentic according to the conditions of Al-Bukhari and Muslim, and they did not exclude it, and the Hadith is authentic.
By Allah, I love you, Mu'adh. I give some instruction to you. Never leave to recite this supplication after every (prescribed) prayer: "O Allah, help me in remembering You, in giving You thanks, and worshipping You well." Mu'adh willed this supplication to the narrator al-Sunabihi and al-Sunabihi to 'Abu Abd al-Rahman. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 1522)
[Machine] The translation of the given Arabic text into English is: "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to say after every prayer, 'O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the punishment of the grave, and from the punishment of the Hellfire, and from the trials of life and death, and from the trial of the false messiah (the Antichrist).' "
Abu Hurairah reported the Messenger of Allah ﷺ as saying; when you come to pray while we are prostrating ourselves, you must prostrate yourselves, and do not reckon it anything (rak’ah) he has been present at the prayer. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 893)
[Machine] From the Prophet ﷺ, he said, "Whoever prays a unit of prayer at the time of dawn, and then the sun rises, let him pray the morning prayer."
[Machine] "The Prophet ﷺ said: 'Whoever prays a single unit of prayer (rak'ah) from the dawn prayer (Fajr) until the rising of the sun, let him complete his prayer.' This hadith has two authentic chains of narration and has been corroborated by Khalas ibn 'Amr as a witness."
[Machine] From the Prophet ﷺ said, "Whoever has not prayed the two Rak'ahs of Fajr prayer until the sun rises, then let him pray them."
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was on his journey. They (the people) slept abandoning the Fajr prayer. They awoke by the heat of the sun. Then they travelled a little until the sun rose high. He (the Prophet) commanded the mu'adhdhin (one who called for prayer) to call for prayer. He then offered two rak'ahs of prayer (sunnah prayer) before the (obligatory) fajr prayer. Then he (the mu'adhdhin) announced for saying the prayer in congregation (i.e. he uttered iqamah). Then he led them in the morning prayer. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 443)
[Machine] "He came while the Prophet ﷺ was praying the Fajr prayer, so he prayed with him. When the Prophet ﷺ finished, he stood up and prayed the two Rak'ahs of Fajr. The Prophet ﷺ asked him, 'What are these two Rak'ahs?' He replied, 'I did not pray them before the Fajr prayer.' Then he remained silent and did not say anything. Qais bin Fahd Al-Ansari, a companion, narrated this incident, and the chain of narration is authentic according to their conditions. And it has also been narrated by Muhammad bin Ibrahim at-Taymi from Qais bin Fahd, who is a companion and has a witness."
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ saw a person praying after the congregational prayer at dawn was over. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: There are two rak'ahs of the dawn prayer (i.e. the prescribed rak'ahs). The man replied: I did not pray the two rak'ahs before the dawn prayer. Hence I offered them now. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ kept silent. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 1267)
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ was asked about praying on a ship, so he said, "How should I pray on a ship?" He said, "Pray standing on it, unless you fear drowning."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever combines two prayers without an excuse has opened a door from the gates of major sins." Hanash bin Qays Al-Rahbi, also known as Abu Ali from the people of Yemen, resided in Kufa and was trustworthy. And Al-Bukhari referred to Ikrimah as evidence, and this hadith is a basis for prohibition against combining prayers without an excuse, and they did not exclude it. This was mentioned in the context of validating the narration of Hakeem regarding Hanash, but they weakened it.
[Machine] She said, "I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ praying while seated."
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to pray standing at night for a long time, and used to pray sitting at night for a long time. When he prayed standing, he bowed standing, and when he prayed sitting, he bowed sitting. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 955)
[Machine] "We used to go and discuss with the imams during the time of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, Yahya bin Ghailan and Abdullah bin Bazie were two trustworthy individuals."
[Machine] The companions of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ used to teach each other about the prayer.
[Machine] The translation of the given phrase is: "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to prostrate in gratitude to Allah Almighty whenever something pleasing or joyful came to him."
