Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Do not swear by your fathers."

رَسُولُ اللَّهُ ﷺ لاَ تَحْلِفُوا بِآبَائِكُمْ

"A man from Banu Ghifar told me, in the gathering of Salim bin 'Abdullah, Salim bin 'Abdullah said: 'I heard 'Abdullah -that is, Ibn 'Umar- say: "The Messenger of Allah said: 'Allah forbids you to swear by your forefathers.'"'"

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يَنْهَاكُمْ أَنْ تَحْلِفُوا بِآبَائِكُمْ

"Allah forbids you to swear by your forefathers." 'Umar said: "By Allah, I never swore by them again, whether saying it for myself or reporting of others."

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يَنْهَاكُمْ أَنْ تَحْلِفُوا بِآبَائِكُمْ قَالَ عُمَرُ فَوَاللَّهِ مَا حَلَفْتُ بِهَا بَعْدُ ذَاكِرًا وَلاَ آثِرًا

"The Messenger of Allah said: 'Allah forbids you to swear by your forefathers.'" 'Umar said: "By Allah, I never swore by them again, whether saying it for myself or reporting it of others."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يَنْهَاكُمْ أَنْ تَحْلِفُوا بِآبَائِكُمْ قَالَ عُمَرُ فَوَاللَّهِ مَا حَلَفْتُ بِهَا بَعْدُ ذَاكِرًا وَلاَ آثِرًا

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Allah will support this religion with a people who have no significance."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «لَيُؤَيِّدَنَّ اللَّهُ هَذَا الدِّينَ بِقَوْمٍ لَا خَلَاقَ لَهُمْ»

أَنَّ النَّبِيّ ﷺ قَالَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى لَيُؤَيِّدُ الدِّينَ بِأَقْوَامٍ لَا خَلَاقَ لَهُمْ

عَن النَّبِيّ ﷺ؛ أَنَّه قال قال الله تبارك وتعالى أحب عبادي إلى أعجلهم فطرا

عَنِ النَّبِيّ ﷺ قال قال الله تبارك وتعالى الصوم لي وَأنا أجزي به ولخلوف فم الصائم أطيب عند الله من ريح المسك

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قال صلوا على أنبياء الله فإن الله تبارك وتعالى بعثهم كما بعثني

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ heard me speaking and my father said, "Indeed, Allah forbids you from swearing by your fathers."

سَمِعَنِي النَّبِيُّ ﷺ وَأَنَا أَقُولُ وَأَبِي فَقَالَ «إِنَّ اللهَ ﷻ يَنْهَاكُمْ أَنْ تَحْلِفُوا بِآبَائِكُمْ»

"A man from Banu Ghifar told me, in the gathering of Salim bin 'Abdullah, Salim bin 'Abdullah said: 'I heard 'Abdullah -that is, Ibn 'Umar- say: "The Messenger of Allah said: 'Allah forbids you to swear by your forefathers.'"'" (Using translation from Nasāʾī 3765)

"إِنَّ الله يَنْهاكمْ أَنْ تَحْلِفُوا بِآبائِكُمْ".

"صَلُّوا عَلَى أَنْبِيَاءِ الله وَرُسُلِه؛ فَإِنَّ الله بعَثَهم كَمَا بَعَثَنِى".

"لا تَحلِفُوا بِآبائِكُمْ".
