Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Do not swear by your fathers."

The Prophet ﷺ said, "Do not swear by your fathers; and whoever wants to swear should swear by Allah."

Do not swear by idols, nor by your fathers.

nasai:3765 – Ziyād b. Ayyūb > Ibn ʿUlayyah > Yaḥyá b. Abū Isḥāq

"A man from Banu Ghifar told me, in the gathering of Salim bin 'Abdullah, Salim bin 'Abdullah said: 'I heard 'Abdullah -that is, Ibn 'Umar- say: "The Messenger of Allah said: 'Allah forbids you to swear by your forefathers.'"'"

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يَنْهَاكُمْ أَنْ تَحْلِفُوا بِآبَائِكُمْ

nasai:3774 – Aḥmad b. Sulaymān > Yazīd > Hishām > al-Ḥasan > ʿAbd al-Raḥman b. Samurah
