Observe fast on sighting it (the new moon) and break (fast) on sighting it (the new moon), but if the sky is cloudy for you, then complete the number (of thirty). (Using translation from Muslim 1081b)
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ صُومُوا لِرُؤْيَتِهِ وَأَفْطِرُوا لِرُؤْيَتِهِ فَإِنْ غُمَّ عَلَيْكُمْ فَصُومُوا ثَلَاثِينَ

that the Prophet ﷺ said or he said Abū al-Qasim said, "˹Start˺ fasting ˹the month˺ upon seeing it (the moon), and break ˹fasting the month˺ upon seeing it. If it is hidden for you (as a result of an overcast at the start of the month), then complete thirty days of Shaʿbān."
قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ أَوْ قَالَ قَالَ أَبُو الْقَاسِمِ ﷺ «صُومُوا لِرُؤْيَتِهِ وَأَفْطِرُوا لِرُؤْيَتِهِ فَإِنْ غُبِّيَ عَلَيْكُمْ فَأَكْمِلُوا عِدَّةَ شَعْبَانَ ثَلاَثِينَ۔»
Whenever you sight the new moon (of the month of Ramadan) observe fast. and when you sight it (the new moon of Shawwal) break it, and if the sky is cloudy for you, then observe fast for thirty days.
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِذَا رَأَيْتُمُ الْهِلاَلَ فَصُومُوا وَإِذَا رَأَيْتُمُوهُ فَأَفْطِرُوا فَإِنْ غُمَّ عَلَيْكُمْ فَصُومُوا ثَلاَثِينَ يَوْمًا
Observe fast on sighting it (the new moon) and break it on sighting it. But if (due to clouds) the actual position of the month is concealed from you, you should then count thirty (days).

"When you see the crescent then fast, and when you crescent then fast, and when you see it, stop fasting. If it is obscured from you (too cloudy), then fast thirty days."

ذَكَرَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ الْهِلَالَ قَالَ إِذَا رَأَيْتُمُوهُ فَصُومُوا وَإِذَا رَأَيْتُمُوهُ فَأَفْطِرُوا فَإِنْ غُمَّ عَلَيْكُمْ فَعُدُّوا ثَلَاثِينَ

[Machine] "The Prophet ﷺ said: Fast when you see the new moon and break your fast when you see it. But if it is cloudy for you, then complete the month as thirty days. And the month should be like this and like this and like this and tie it securely."

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Fast when you see it (the new moon) and break your fast when you see it. But if it is obscured from you, then complete the count of thirty (days). He ﷺ also said, holding up his hand, "The month is like this and like this," meaning twenty-nine or thirty days."

"the Messenger of Allah said: 'Fast when you see it and stop fasting when you see it, and if it is obscured from you (too cloudy), then count it as thirty (days). "' (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2117)

"صوموا لِرُؤْيَتِهِ، وأَفْطِرُوا لرُؤْيَتِهِ".
"صُومُوا لِرُؤْيَتِهِ، وأفطِرُوا لِرُؤيَتِهِ، فإِنْ غُمَّ علَيكمْ فأكملوا شَعْبَانَ ثَلاثينَ".
"صُومُوا لرُؤْيَتِه، وأَفْطِرُوا لِرُؤْيَتِهِ، وانْسكوا لَهَا، فَإِنْ غُمَّ عَلَيكُمْ، فَأَتِمُّوا ثَلاثِينَ، وإِنْ شَهَد شَاهِدَانِ مُسْلِمَانِ؛ فَصُومُوا وأَفْطُروا فأَتِمُّوا ثَلاثِينَ".
"صُومُوا لِرُؤْيَتِهِ، وأفطِرُوا لِرؤْيَتِهِ، فَإِنْ غُمَّ عَلَيكمْ فَاقْدُورُا".
"جَعَلَ اللَّه ﷻ الأَهِلَّةَ مواقيتَ للناسِ؛ فصوموا لرؤْيتِهِ، وأَفطِرُوا لرؤْيَتِهِ؛ فإِن غُمَّ عليكُمْ فَعُدُّوا ثلاثين يومًا".
"الْهلالُ (صُومُوا) لرؤْيَتهِ، وأَفْطِرُوا لرُؤْيَتهِ، فَإِنْ غُمَّ عَلَيكُمْ فَأَكْمِلُوا الْعِدَّةَ ثَلاثينَ".
"لا تَقَدَّمُوا هَذَا الشَّهْرَ، فَصُومُوا لِرُؤْيَتِه، وَأَفْطِروا لِرُؤْيَتِه، فَإنْ غُمَّ عَلَيْكُمْ فَعُدُّوا ثلاِثينَ".
