[Machine] Ibn Abbas was asked, "What is your opinion about Muawiyah?" He replied, "He performs the Witr prayer only with one unit." He said, "He is correct; indeed, he is knowledgeable."  

البيهقي:٤٧٩٨ – وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَمْرٍو مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدَانَ الْأَدِيبُ أنبأ أَبُو بَكْرٍ الْإِسْمَاعِيلِيُّ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو مَنْصُورٍ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى الْحَلَبِيُّ وَعَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْإِمَامُ قَالَا ثنا دَاوُدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ثنا نَافِعُ بْنُ عُمَرَ ح قَالَ وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ الْإِسْمَاعِيلِيُّ ثنا أَبُو بَكْرٍ الْفَارِيَابِيُّ ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ نَصْرٍ ثنا الْعَلَاءُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْجَبَّارِ ثنا نَافِعُ بْنُ عُمَرَ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ قَالَ

قِيلَ لِابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ هَلْ لَكَ فِي مُعَاوِيَةَ؟ مَا أُوتِرَ إِلَّا بِرَكْعَةٍ‍‍ قَالَ أَصَابَ؛ إِنَّهُ فَقِيهٌ
