[Machine] I asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about looking around during prayer, and he said it is a diversion that the devil steals from the worshipper's prayer.  

البيهقي:٣٥٢٩ – أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحَسَنِ بْنُ عَبْدَانَ أنبأ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ الصَّفَّارُ ثنا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُمَرَ الضَّبِّيُّ وَزِيَادُ بْنُ الْخَلِيلِ قَالَا ثنا مُسَدَّدٌ ثنا أَبُو الْأَحْوَصِ ثنا أَشْعَثُ بْنُ سُلَيْمٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ

سَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ عَنِ الِالْتِفَاتِ فِي الصَّلَاةِ فَقَالَ هُوَ اخْتِلَاسٌ يَخْتَلِسُهُ الشَّيْطَانُ مِنْ صَلَاةِ الْعَبْدِ  

رَوَاهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ فِي الصَّحِيحِ عَنْ مُسَدَّدٍ وَكَذَلِكَ رَوَاهُ شَيْبَانُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ وَزَائِدَةُ بْنُ قُدَامَةَ عَنْ أَشْعَثَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ وَرَوَاهُ مِسْعَرٌ عَنْ أَشْعَثَ بْنِ أَبِي الشَّعْثَاءِ عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ 3530 أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحَسَنِ بْنُ عَبْدَانَ أنبأ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ ثنا زَكَرِيَّا السَّاجِيُّ وَابْنُ نَاجِيَةَ قَالَا ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ خَلَّادٍ الْبَاهِلِيُّ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْقَطَّانُ ثنا مِسْعَرٌ فَذَكَرَهُ إِلَّا أَنَّ السَّاجِيَّ قَالَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَفَعَتْهُ
