[Machine] "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to pray Asr when the sun was still shining in the depths of my room 2082. Abu Salih ibn Abi Tahir narrated to us, informing us about my grandfather Yahya ibn Mansur, who narrated to us about Ahmad ibn Salamah, who narrated to us about Ishaq ibn Ibrahim, who narrated to us about Abu Mu'awiyah, who narrated to us about Hisham ibn 'Urwah, that he mentioned it and said, 'The sun is still white in the depths of my room.' Al-Shafi'i commented on Malik's hadith by saying that this is one of the clearest reports from the earliest times, because the room of the Prophet's wives was situated in a low area of Madinah and it was not spacious, and that is closer to the sun setting from it at the beginning of the time of Asr."  

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُصَلِّي الْعَصْرَ وَالشَّمْسُ فِي قَعْرِ حُجْرَتِي 2082 وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو صَالِحِ بْنُ أَبِي طَاهِرٍ ثنا جَدِّي يَحْيَى بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ثنا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ثنا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ ثنا هِشَامُ بْنُ عُرْوَةَ فَذَكَرَهُ وَقَالَ وَالشَّمْسُ بَيْضَاءُ فِي قَعْرِ حُجْرَتِي قَالَ الشَّافِعِيُّ عَقِيبَ حَدِيثِ مَالِكٍ وَهَذَا مِنْ أَبْيَنِ مَا رُوِيَ فِي أَوَّلِ الْوَقْتِ لِأَنَّ حُجْرَةَ أَزْوَاجِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فِي مَوْضِعٍ مُنْخَفِضٍ مِنَ الْمَدِينَةِ وَلَيْسَتْ بِالْوَاسِعَةِ وَذَلِكَ أَقْرَبُ لَهَا مِنْ أَنْ يَرْتَفِعَ الشَّمْسُ مِنْهَا فِي أَوَّلِ وَقْتِ الْعَصْرِ
