[Machine] Zubayr ibn al-Awwam had a thousand slaves who paid him tribute, but he did not allow any of their tributes to enter his house.  

البيهقي:١٥٧٨٧أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُوسَى بْنِ الْفَضْلِ الصَّيْرَفِيُّ ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ أنبأ الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ بْنِ مَزْيَدٍ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبِي ثنا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ حَدَّثَنِي رَجُلٌ مِنَّا يُقَالُ لَهُ نَهِيكُ بْنُ يَرِيمَ حَدَّثَنِي مُغِيثُ بْنُ سُمَيٍّ قَالَ

كَانَ لِلزُّبَيْرِ بْنِ الْعَوَّامِ ؓ أَلْفُ مَمْلُوكٍ يُؤَدِّي إِلَيْهِ الْخَرَاجَ فَلَا يُدْخِلُ بَيْتَهُ مِنْ خَرَاجِهِمْ شَيْئًا
