The people said: Messenger of Allah , prices have shot up, so fix prices for us. Thereupon the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Allah is the one Who fixes prices, Who withholds, gives lavishly and provides, and I hope that when I meet Allah, none of you will have any claim on me for an injustice regarding blood or property. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 3451)

ahmad:12607ʿĀrim > Muʿtamir > Abū > Anas

Would that you approached Abdullah b. Ubayy (to persuade him to accept Islam). The Prophet ﷺ (accordingly) went to him, riding a donkey, and (a party of) Muslims also went (with him). On the way they had to walk over a piece of land affected with salinity. When the Prophet ﷺ approached him, he said: Do not come near me. By Allah, the obnoxious smell of your donkey has offended me. (As a rejoinder to this remark), a man from the Ansar said: By God, the smell of the donkey of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ is better than your smell. (At this), a man from the tribe of 'Abdullah got furious. Then people from both sides got furious and exchanged blows with sticks, hands and shoes. (The narrator says) that (after this scuffle) we learnt that (the Qur'anic verse):" It two parties of the Believers have a quarrel, make ye peace between them" (xlix. 9) was revealed about these fighting parties. (Using translation from Muslim 1799)

[Machine] We conquered Mecca, and then we fought at Hunayn. The polytheists came with the best formations you could see. The cavalry lined up in ranks, followed by the soldiers, followed by the women behind them, and then the sheep and camels. Khalid bin Al-Walid said, "Our horses took refuge behind us." He said, "We had not stayed for long before our horses were uncovered and the Bedouins fled, and whoever knew the people said, 'The Messenger of Allah ﷺ has called the emigrants and the Ansar. O emigrants! O emigrants! O Ansar! O Ansar!' Anas said, 'This is a statement of my paternal uncle (i.e., 'Umair bin Sa'd bin Abi Waqqas).' We said, 'Here we are, O Messenger of Allah!' He said, 'So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ went forward.' He said, 'By the One in Whose Hand is my soul! We did not encounter them until Allah overcame them.' He said, 'So we gathered up that wealth.' He said, 'Then we went to Ta'if and besieged them for forty nights. Then we returned to Mecca.' He said, 'So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ would give a hundred to a man and give a hundred to a man.' He said, 'So the Ansar began discussing among themselves: Whomever he fights, he gives it to him, and whomever he does not fight, he does not give it to him.' So the Hadith was elevated to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ until he commanded the Serayah of the migrants and the Ansar that they should enter upon him. Then he said, 'Only my Ansar should enter upon me, or the Ansar.' So we entered the Chamber until it was filled. The Prophet of Allah ﷺ said, 'O Ansar, or whatever he said, what has come to me?' They said, 'What has come to you, O Messenger of Allah?' He said, 'What has come to me?' They said, 'What has come to you, O Messenger of Allah?' He said, 'Don't you want the people to take the wealth and you take the Messenger of Allah ﷺ to your homes?' They said, 'We are pleased, O Messenger of Allah.' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'If the people take one road and the Ansar take another road, I would take the road of the Ansar.' They said, 'We are pleased, O Messenger of Allah.' He said, 'So be pleased, or whatever he said.'

The Prophet ﷺ was not one who would abuse (others) or say obscene words, or curse (others), and if he wanted to admonish anyone of us, he used to say: "What is wrong with him, his forehead be dusted!" (Using translation from Bukhārī 6031)

When the man sat down, he said, "All praise is due to Allah, abundant, pure, and blessed, as our Lord loves and deserves to be praised." The Prophet ﷺ asked him, "How did you say that?" The man replied, "Just as I said." The Prophet ﷺ said, "By the One in whose hand is my soul, ten angels competed to write it down, all eager to do so. [Machine] There was a family among the Ansar (local inhabitants of Medina) who owned a camel that they rode on. However, the camel became difficult for them to control, so they prevented it from grazing. The Ansar then went to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, "We had a camel that we used to ride on, but it has become difficult for us to control and is causing us harm. Meanwhile, the crops and date palms are suffering from thirst." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ told his companions to stand up, and they did so. He then entered the enclosure where the camel was, and it stood still in its place. The Ansar said to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , "O Messenger of Allah, it has become like a wild dog, and we fear for your safety from its attack." He replied, "I have no fear of it attacking me." When the camel saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , it approached him until it knelt down in prostration before him. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ held its nosestring in his hand, taming it until he put it to work. His companions said to him, "O Prophet of Allah, this is an irrational animal that prostrates to you, while we are rational beings who deserve to prostrate to you." He replied, "It would not be appropriate for a human being to prostrate to another human being. And if it were appropriate for a human being to prostrate to another human being, I would have commanded a woman to prostrate to her husband due to his rights over her. By the One in whose hand is my soul, even if there were a sore that covered its body from its head to its tail, oozing with pus and septic fluid, and then it came and licked my face, it still would not fulfill its rights over me."

Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to Abu Talha, "Seek one of your boys to serve me." Abu Talha mounted me behind him (on his riding animal) and took me (to the Prophet ﷺ ). So I used to serve Messenger of Allah ﷺ whenever he dismounted (to stay somewhere). I used to hear him saying very often, "O Allah! I seek refuge with You from, having worries sadness, helplessness, laziness, miserliness, cowardice, from being heavily in debt and from being overpowered by other persons unjustly." I kept on serving till we -returned from the battle of Khaibar. The Prophet ﷺ then brought Safiyya bint Huyai whom he had won from the war booty. I saw him folding up a gown or a garment for her to sit on behind him (on his shecamel). When he reached As-Sahba', he prepared Hais and placed it on a dining sheet. Then he sent me to invite men, who (came and) ate; and that was his and Safiyya's wedding banquet. Then the Prophet proceeded, and when he saw (noticed) the mountain of Uhud, he said, "This mountain loves us, and we love it." When we approached Medina, he said, "O Allah! I make the area between its two mountains a sanctuary as Abraham has made Mecca a sanctuary. O Allah! Bless their Mudd and Sa (special kinds of measure). (Using translation from Bukhārī 5425)
