[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The people of Paradise will enter Paradise and Allah will allow them to remain in it as long as He wills. Then Allah will create for them a creation until it fills it."  

أحمد:١٢٥٤١حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ حَدَّثَنَا ثَابِتٌ عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَدْخُلُ أَهْلُ الْجَنَّةِ الْجَنَّةَ فَيَبْقَى مِنْهَا مَا شَاءَ اللهُ فَيُنْشِئُ اللهُ لَهَا يَعْنِي خَلْقًا حَتَّى يَمْلَأَهَا

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "I have been given Al-Kawthar, and indeed, it is a river that flows like this on the face of the earth. Its banks are domes of pearls that are not cracked. I struck its soil with my hand, and behold, it was a handful of musk, and its pebbles are pearls."  

أحمد:١٢٥٤٢حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ عَنْ ثَابِتٍ عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أُعْطِيتُ الْكَوْثَرَ فَإِذَا هُوَ نَهَرٌ يَجْرِي كَذَا عَلَى وَجْهِ الْأَرْضِ حَافَّتَاهُ قِبَابُ اللُّؤْلُؤِ لَيْسَ مَشقُوقًا فَضَرَبْتُ بِيَدِي إِلَى تُرْبَتِهِ فَإِذَا مِسْكَةٌ ذَفِرَةٌ وَإِذَا حَصَاهُ اللُّؤْلُؤُ

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ entered upon a man from the Banu Najjar who was ill. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to him, "O uncle, say, 'There is no god but Allah.'" He replied, "Do you mean 'uncle' or 'paternal uncle'?" The Prophet ﷺ said, "Rather, 'uncle.'" He then said to him, "Say, 'There is no god but He.'" The man asked, "Is it good for me?" The Prophet ﷺ replied, "Yes."  

أحمد:١٢٥٤٣حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ حَدَّثَنَا ثَابِتٌ عَنْ أَنَسٍ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ دَخَلَ عَلَى رَجُلٍ مِنْ بَنِي النَّجَّارِ يَعُودُهُ فَقَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَا خَالُ قُلْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ فَقَالَ أَوَ خَالٌ أَنَا أَوْ عَمٌّ؟ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ لَا بَلْ خَالٌ فَقَالَ لَهُ قُلْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا هُوَ قَالَ خَيْرٌ لِي؟ قَالَ نَعَمْ

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ heard some noises and said, "What is this?" They said, "They are pollinating the palm trees." He said, "If they left it and did not pollinate it, it would be better." So they left it and did not pollinate it. Then a bunch of dates became inferior, so the Prophet ﷺ went out and said, "What is wrong with you?" They said, "We left it based on what you said." So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "If it is something worldly, you are more knowledgeable about it. But if it is something concerning your religion, then come to me."  

أحمد:١٢٥٤٤حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ عَنْ ثَابِتٍ عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ

سَمِعَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَصْوَاتًا فَقَالَ مَا هَذَا؟ قَالُوا يُلَقِّحُونَ النَّخْلَ فَقَالَ لَوْ تَرَكُوهُ فَلَمْ يُلَقِّحُوهُ لَصَلُحَ فَتَرَكُوهُ فَلَمْ يُلَقِّحُوهُ فَخَرَجَ شِيصًا فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ مَا لَكُمْ؟ قَالُوا تَرَكُوهُ لِمَا قُلْتَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا كَانَ شَيْءٌ مِنْ أَمْرِ دُنْيَاكُمْ فَأَنْتُمْ أَعْلَمُ بِهِ فَإِذَا كَانَ مِنْ أَمْرِ دِينِكُمْ فَإِلَيَّ

Anas reported that Messenger of Allah ﷺ established fraternity between Abu Ubaida b. Jarrah and Abu Talha. (Using translation from Muslim 2528)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ آخَى بَيْنَ أَبِي عُبَيْدَةَ بْنِ الْجَرَّاحِ وَبَيْنَ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to be impressed by the hunter, and he found the bear to be the most impressive of food to him.  

أحمد:١٢٥٤٦حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ كَثِيرٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْحَمِيدِ عَنْ أَنَسٍ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَتْ تُعْجِبُهُ الْفَاغِيَةُ وَكَانَ أَعْجَبُ الطَّعَامِ إِلَيْهِ الدُّبَّاءَ

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to be in prayer and recite a short surah for the sake of the woman and the crying of the baby.  

أحمد:١٢٥٤٧حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرٌ حَدَّثَنَا ثَابِتٌ حَدَّثَنَا أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ يَكُونُ فِي الصَّلَاةِ فَيَقْرَأُ بِسُورَةٍ خَفِيفَةً مِنْ أَجْلِ الْمَرْأَةِ وَبُكَاءِ الصَّبِيِّ  

ahmad:12548Isḥāq b. Sulaymān > Mālik b. Anas > Isḥāq b. ʿAbdullāh b. Abū Ṭalḥah > Anas b. Mālik

[Machine] I was walking with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and he had a thick Najrani cloak with a rough hem. An Arab man came and forcefully pulled him, leaving a mark on the neck of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ from the intensity of the pull. The man said, "O Muhammad, give me some of the money of Allah that you have." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ turned to him, laughed, and then ordered him to be given something.  

أحمد:١٢٥٤٨حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ مَالِكَ بْنَ أَنَسٍ عَنْ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ

كُنْتُ أَمْشِي مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ وَعَلَيْهِ بُرْدٌ نَجْرَانِيٌّ غَلِيظُ الْحَاشِيَةِ فَأَدْرَكَهُ أَعْرَابِيٌّ فَجَبَذَهُ جَبْذَةً حَتَّى رَأَيْتُ صَفْحَ أَوْ صَفْحَةَ عُنُقِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَدْ أَثَّرَتْ بِهَا حَاشِيَةُ الْبُرْدِ مِنْ شِدَّةِ جَبْذَتِهِ فَقَالَ يَا مُحَمَّدُ أَعْطِنِي مِنْ مَالِ اللهِ الَّذِي عِنْدَكَ فَالْتَفَتَ إِلَيْهِ فَضَحِكَ ثُمَّ أَمَرَ لَهُ بِعَطَاءٍ  

ahmad:12549Yaḥyá b. Isḥāq > Yaḥyá b. Yyūb > Abū ʿAbdullāh al-Asadī > Anas b. Mālik

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Beware of the supplication of the oppressed, even if he is a disbeliever, for there is no barrier between it and Allah."  

أحمد:١٢٥٤٩حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ أيُّوبَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْأَسَدِيُّ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ يَقُولُ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ اتَّقُوا دَعْوَةَ الْمَظْلُومِ وَإِنْ كَانَ كَافِرًا فَإِنَّهُ لَيْسَ دُونَهَا حِجَابٌ

[Machine] And the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Leave what doubts you for what does not doubt you."

وَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ دَعْ مَا يَرِيبُكَ إِلَى مَا لَا يَرِيبُكَ  

ahmad:12551Ḥasan b. Mūsá > Ḥammād b. Salamah > Thābit al-Bunānī > Anas b. Mālik > a man

[Machine] "O Muhammad, O our master and the son of our master and the best of us, and the son of the best of us. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "O people, upon you is to have Taqwa (piety) so that Satan does not deceive you. I am Muhammad ibn Abdullah, the servant of Allah and His Messenger. By Allah, I do not like to be elevated above the position that Allah has bestowed upon me."  

أحمد:١٢٥٥١حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنُ بْنُ مُوسَى حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ ثَابِتٍ الْبُنَانِيِّ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ أَنَّ رَجُلًا قَالَ

يَا مُحَمَّدُ يَا سَيِّدَنَا وَابْنَ سَيِّدِنَا وَخَيْرَنَا وَابْنَ خَيْرِنَا فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ عَلَيْكُمْ بِتَقْوَاكُمْ لَا يَسْتَهْوِيَنَّكُمُ الشَّيْطَانُ أَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ عَبْدُ اللهِ وَرَسُولُهُ وَاللهِ مَا أُحِبُّ أَنْ تَرْفَعُونِي فَوْقَ مَنْزِلَتِي الَّتِي أَنْزَلَنِي اللهُ

When the Messenger of Allah (May peace be upon him) went to his bed, he would say: Praise be to Allah who has fed us, given us drink, satisfied us and given us refuge. Many there are who have no one to provide sufficiency for them, or give them refuge. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 5053)  

أحمد:١٢٥٥٢حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنُ بْنُ مُوسَى حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ ثَابِتٍ عَنْ أَنَسٍ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ إِذَا أَوَى إِلَى فِرَاشِهِ قَالَ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي أَطْعَمَنَا وَسَقَانَا وَكَفَانَا وَآوَانَا وَكَمْ مِمَّنْ لَا كَافِيَ لَهُ وَلَا مُؤْوِيَ

[Machine] The following passage has been translated to English:

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was riding a gray mule when he passed by a wall belonging to the Banu Najjar. Suddenly, he saw a grave in which its occupant was being punished. The mule halted and he said, "If you were not to be buried, I would have supplicated to Allah to make you hear the punishment of the grave."  

أحمد:١٢٥٥٣حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ مُوسَى حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ ثَابِتٍ وَحُمَيْدٍ عَنْ أَنَسٍ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ عَلَى بَغْلَةٍ شَهْبَاءَ فَمَرَّ عَلَى حَائِطٍ لِبَنِي النَّجَّارِ فَإِذَا هُوَ بِقَبْرٍ يُعَذَّبُ صَاحِبُهُ فَحَاصَتِ الْبَغْلَةُ فَقَالَ لَوْلَا أَنْ لَا تَدَافَنُوا لَدَعَوْتُ اللهَ أَنْ يُسْمِعَكُمْ عَذَابَ الْقَبْرِ

Anas b. Malik reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prayed for rain pointing the back of his hands to the sky. (Using translation from Muslim 895b)  

أحمد:١٢٥٥٤حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنُ بْنُ مُوسَى حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ ثَابِتٍ عَنْ أَنَسٍ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ اسْتَسْقَى فَأَشَارَ بِظَهْرِ كَفَّيْهِ إِلَى السَّمَاءِ

The Prophet ﷺ said: Use your property, your persons any your tongues in striving against the polytheists. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 2504)   

أحمد:١٢٥٥٥حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ جَاهِدُوا الْمُشْرِكِينَ بِأَلْسِنَتِكُمْ وَأَنْفُسِكُمْ وَأَمْوَالِكُمْ وَأَيْدِيكُمْ

[Machine] "The Prophet (Peace be upon him) said: A morning spent in the path of Allah, or an evening spent in the path of Allah, is better than the world and everything in it. And a hand span of paradise, acquired by one of you, is better than the world and everything in it."  

أحمد:١٢٥٥٦حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ ثَابِتٍ الْبُنَانِيِّ عَنْ أَنَسٍ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ لَغَدْوَةٌ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ أَوْ رَوْحَةٌ خَيْرٌ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا وَمَا فِيهَا وَلَقَابُ قَوْسِ أَحَدِكُمْ فِي الْجَنَّةِ خَيْرٌ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا وَمَا فِيهَا

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "No soul dies and finds goodness with Allah, and it desires to return to the world, except for the martyr. Indeed, the martyr desires to return to the world and be killed again for what he sees of the virtue of martyrdom."  

أحمد:١٢٥٥٧حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ ثَابِتٍ الْبُنَانِيِّ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ مَا مِنْ نَفْسٍ تَمُوتُ لَهَا عِنْدَ اللهِ خَيْرٌ فَيَسُرُّهَا أَنْ تَرْجِعَ إِلَى الدُّنْيَا إِلَّا الشَّهِيدَ فَإِنَّ الشَّهِيدَ يَسُرُّهُ أَنْ يَرْجِعَ إِلَى الدُّنْيَا فَيُقْتَلَ لِمَا يَرَى مِنْ فَضْلِ الشَّهَادَةِ

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The Al-Bayt Al-Ma'mur (the Frequented House) in the seventh heaven is entered by seventy thousand angels every day, and once they leave, they never return to it."  

أحمد:١٢٥٥٨حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ ثَابِتٍ الْبُنَانِيِّ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ الْبَيْتُ الْمَعْمُورُ فِي السَّمَاءِ السَّابِعَةِ يَدْخُلُهُ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ سَبْعُونَ أَلْفَ مَلَكٍ ثُمَّ لَايَعُودُونَ إِلَيْهِ

"Paradise is surrounded by hardships, and the Fire is surrounded by desires." (Using translation from Tirmidhī 2559)   

أحمد:١٢٥٥٩حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ ثَابِتٍ الْبُنَانِيِّ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ حُفَّتِ الْجَنَّةُ بِالْمَكَارِهِ وَحُفَّتِ النَّارُ بِالشَّهَوَاتِ

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The first to be dressed in a robe of fire is Iblis, who puts it on his forehead, while it is being dragged from behind him, along with his offspring. He will then say, 'O destruction to them!' and they will be called, 'O destruction to them!' this will continue until he stands on the fire. Then he will say, 'O destruction to him!' and they will be called, 'O destruction to them!' It will be said, 'Do not invoke destruction upon one another today, but invoke plenty of destruction. [Quran 25:14]".  

أحمد:١٢٥٦٠حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ زَيْدٍ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَوَّلُ مَنْ يُكْسَى حُلَّةً مِنَ النَّارِ إِبْلِيسُ يَضَعُهَا عَلَى حَاجِبَيْهِ وَهُوَ يَسْحَبُهَا مِنْ خَلْفِهِ وَذُرِّيَّتُهُ مِنْ خَلْفِهِ وَهُوَ يَقُولُ يَا ثُبُورَاهُ وَهُمْ يُنَادُونَ يَا ثُبُورهُمْ حَتَّى يَقِفَ عَلَى النَّارِ فَيَقُولُ يَا ثُبُورَهُ فَيُنَادُونَ يَا ثُبُورَهُمْ فَيُقَالَ {لَا تَدْعُوا الْيَوْمَ ثُبُورًا وَاحِدًا وَادْعُوا ثُبُورًا كَثِيرًا} [الفرقان 14]

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "The believer is the one whom people trust, and the Muslim is the one from whose tongue and hands other Muslims are safe. The migrant is the one who refrains from causing harm. By the One in Whose hand is my soul, a person does not enter Paradise if his neighbor is not safe from his mischief."  

أحمد:١٢٥٦١حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ زَيْدٍ وَيُونُسَ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ وَحُمَيْدٍ عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ

قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ الْمُؤْمِنُ مَنْ أَمِنَهُ النَّاسُ وَالْمُسْلِمُ مَنْ سَلِمَ الْمُسْلِمُونَ مِنْ لِسَانِهِ وَيَدِهِ وَالْمُهَاجِرُ مَنْ هَجَرَ السُّوءَ وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ لَا يَدْخُلُ الْجَنَّةَ عَبْدٌ لَا يَأْمَنُ جَارُهُ بَوَائِقَهُ  

ahmad:12562ʿAffān > Ḥammād b. Salamah > ʿAlī b. Zayd And Yūnus Waḥumayd > al-Ḥasan

[Machine] "That the Prophet ﷺ said: A believer is one whom others feel secure with, in their persons and wealth, and he is trustworthy and reliable."  

أحمد:١٢٥٦٢حَدَّثَنَاهُ عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ زَيْدٍ وَيُونُسَ وَحُمَيْدٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ الْمُؤْمِنُ مَنْ أَمِنَهُ النَّاسُ فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَهُ

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ sent a man from the Ansar and said, "O uncle (or cousin), say 'There is no god but Allah.'" The man responded, "O uncle (or cousin)? or mother's brother (or father's brother)?" The Prophet ﷺ said, "No, but uncle." The man then said, "Is it better for me to say 'There is no god but Allah'?" The Prophet ﷺ replied, "Yes."  

أحمد:١٢٥٦٣حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنُ بْنُ مُوسَى حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ ثَابِتٍ الْبُنَانِيِّ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ عَادَ رَجُلًا مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ فَقَالَ يَا خَالُ قُلْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ فَقَالَ أَخَالٌ أَمْ عَمٌّ؟ فَقَالَ لَا بَلْ خَالٌ قَالَ فَخَيْرٌ لِي أَنْ أَقُولَ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ؟ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ نَعَمْ

[Machine] The Prophet of Allah ﷺ said, "There is no contagion, no owl, and I am pleased with good omens." They asked, "O Prophet of Allah, what are good omens?" He replied, "Good words."  

أحمد:١٢٥٦٤حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ أَخْبَرَنَا هِشَامٌ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ

أَنَّ نَبِيَّ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ لَا عَدْوَى وَلَا طِيَرَةَ وَيُعْجِبُنِي الْفَأْلُ قَالُوا يَا نَبِيَّ اللهِ مَا الْفَأْلُ؟ قَالَ الْكَلِمَةُ الْحَسَنَةُ

[Machine] As for the Prophet ﷺ , he used to perform ablution for every prayer, and as for us, we used to pray the prayers with one purification.  

أحمد:١٢٥٦٥حَدَّثَنَا أَسْوَدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ عَامِرٍ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ سَأَلْنَاهُ عَنِ الْوُضُوءِ عِنْدَ كُلِّ صَلَاةٍ فَقَالَ

أَمَّا النَّبِيُّ ﷺ فَكَانَ يَتَوَضَّأُ عِنْدَ كُلِّ صَلَاةٍ وَأَمَّا نَحْنُ فَكُنَّانُصَلِّي الصَّلَوَاتِ بِطُهُورٍ وَاحِدٍ

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Since Allah created man, he has never encountered anything more severe upon him than death. Yet, indeed, death is easier than what comes after it."  

أحمد:١٢٥٦٦حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ حَدَّثَنَا سُكَيْنٌ قَالَ ذَكَرَ ذَاكَ أَبِي عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَمْ يَلْقَ ابْنُ آدَمَ شَيْئًا قَطُّ مُذْ خَلَقَهُ اللهُ أَشَدَّ عَلَيْهِ مِنَ الْمَوْتِ ثُمَّ إِنَّ الْمَوْتَ لَأَهْوَنُ مِمَّا بَعْدَهُ  

ahmad:12567Ḥasan > Abū Hilāl al-Rāsibī > Qatādahaʿan Anas

[Machine] Rarely did the Messenger of Allah ﷺ address us without saying, "There is no faith for one who has no trustworthiness, and there is no religion for one who has no commitment."  

أحمد:١٢٥٦٧حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو هِلَالٍ الرَّاسِبِيُّ عَنْ قَتَادَةَعَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ

قَلَّمَا خَطَبَنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِلَّا قَالَ لَا إِيمَانَ لِمَنْ لَا أَمَانَةَ لَهُ وَلَا دِينَ لِمَنْ لَا عَهْدَ لَهُ

[Machine] Regarding the circumstances of wine, the Prophet ﷺ forbade what it is made from. He said to me, the Prophet of Allah ﷺ, that he is the one who determines.  

أحمد:١٢٥٦٨حَدَّثَنَا أَسْوَدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ عَنِ الْمُخْتَارِ بْنِ فُلْفُلٍ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ أَنَسًا

عَنْ ظُرُوفِ النَّبِيذِ فَقَالَ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَمَّا زُفِّتَ مِنْ شَيْءٍ قَالَ وَقَالَ لِي نَبِيُّ اللهِ ﷺ هُوَ الْمُقَيَّرُ

"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ led us in prayer one day, then he turned to face us and said: 'I am now your imam, so do not hasten to bow or prostrate or stand or leave before I do. I can see you in front of me and behind me.' Then he said: 'By the One in Whose Hand is my soul, if you had seen what I have seen, you would laugh little and weep much.' We said: 'What have you seen, O Messenger of Allah ﷺ?' He said: 'Paradise and Hell.'" (Using translation from Nasāʾī 1363)   

أحمد:١٢٥٦٩حَدَّثَنَا أَسْوَدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ عَنِ الْمُخْتَارِ بْنِ فُلْفُلٍ أَنَّ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ حَدَّثَهُمْ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِنِّي لَكُمْ إِمَامٌ فَلَا تَسْبِقُونِي بِالرُّكُوعِ وَلَا بِالسُّجُودِ وَلَا بِالْقِيَامِ فَإِنِّي أَرَاكُمْ مِنْ أَمَامِي وَمِنْ خَلْفِي وَايْمُ الَّذِي نَفْسُ مُحَمَّدٍ بِيَدِهِ لَوْ رَأَيْتُمْ مَا رَأَيْتُ لَضَحِكْتُمْ قَلِيلًا وَلَبَكَيْتُمْ كَثِيرًا قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ مَا رَأَيْتَ؟ قَالَ رَأَيْتُ الْجَنَّةَ وَالنَّارَ

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ went out to them in Ramadan and made it easier for them, then he entered and prolonged (his stay), then he went out and made it easier for them, then he entered and prolonged (his stay). When we became morning, we said, "O Prophet of Allah, we sat the night and you came out to us and made it easier for us, then you entered and prolonged (your stay)," he said, "I did that for your sake."  

أحمد:١٢٥٧٠حَدَّثَنَا أَسْوَدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ ثُمَامَةَ عَنْ أَنَسٍ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ خَرَجَ إِلَيْهِمْ فِي رَمَضَانَ فَخَفَّفَ بِهِمْ ثُمَّ دَخَلَ فَأَطَالَ ثُمَّ خَرَجَ فَخَفَّفَ بِهِمْ ثُمَّ دَخَلَ فَأَطَالَ فَلَمَّا أَصْبَحْنَا قُلْنَا يَا نَبِيَّ اللهِ جَلَسْنَا اللَّيْلَةَ فَخَرَجْتَ إِلَيْنَا فَخَفَّفْتَ ثُمَّ دَخَلْتَ فَأَطَلْتَ قَالَ مِنْ أَجْلِكُمْ فَعَلْتُ  

ahmad:12571Ḥasan > Abū Hilāl > Qatādah > Anas b. Mālik

[Machine] There was a tree on people's path that would harm them, so a man came and removed it from the people's path. The Prophet ﷺ said, "Indeed, I saw him enjoying its shade in Paradise."  

أحمد:١٢٥٧١حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو هِلَالٍ حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ

كَانَتْ شَجَرَةٌ فِي طَرِيقِ النَّاسِ تُؤْذِي النَّاسَ فَأَتَاهَا رَجُلٌ فَعَزَلَهَا عَنْ طَرِيقِ النَّاسِ قَالَ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ فَلَقَدْ رَأَيْتُهُ يَتَقَلَّبُ فِي ظِلِّهَا فِي الْجَنَّةِ

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Straighten the rows, for verily Shaytan stands in the gaps."  

أحمد:١٢٥٧٢حَدَّثَنَا أَسْوَدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ أَخْبَرَنَا جَعْفَرٌ يَعْنِي الْأَحْمَرَ عَنْعَطَاءِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ رَاصُّوا الصُّفُوفَ فَإِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ يَقُومُ فِي الْخَلَلِ  

ahmad:12573Ḥasan > Ḥammād / Ibn Zayd > Salm al-ʿAlawī > Anas b. Mālik

[Machine] He heard Anas ibn Malik say that a man with a yellowish complexion entered upon the Prophet ﷺ and the Prophet disliked it. When the man left, the Prophet ﷺ said to some of his companions, "If I were to command you to let go of this person with the yellowish complexion, would you do it?" Anas said, "He said it two or three times." Anas added, "The Prophet ﷺ rarely confronted a person with something he disliked in their face."  

أحمد:١٢٥٧٣حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ زَيْدٍ عَنْ سَلْمٍ الْعَلَوِيِّ

أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ يَقُولُ دَخَلَ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ رَجُلٌ وَعَلَيْهِ صُفْرَةٌ فَكَرِهَهَا فَلَمَّا قَامَ الرَّجُلُ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ لِبَعْضِ أَصْحَابِهِ لَوْ أَمَرْتُمْ هَذَا أَنْ يَدَعَ هَذِهِ الصُّفْرَةَ قَالَهَا مَرَّتَيْنِ أَوْ ثَلَاثَةً قَالَ أَنَسٌ وَكَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ قَلَّمَا يُوَاجِهُ رَجُلًا بِشَيْءٍ يَكْرَهُهُ فِي وَجْهِهِ

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ was approached by a questioner, so he ordered for a date to be given to him, but he did not take it or touch it. The Prophet ﷺ then ordered for another date to be given to him, and he said, "Glory be to Allah! This is a date from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ." He then said to the servant girl, "Go to Umm Salamah and give her the forty dirhams that she has."  

أحمد:١٢٥٧٤حَدَّثَنَا أَسْوَدُ حَدَّثَنَا عُمَارَةُ الصَّيْدَلَانِيُّ عَنْ ثَابِتٍ عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ

أَتَى النَّبِيَّ ﷺ سَائِلٌ فَأَمَرَ لَهُ بِتَمْرَةٍ فَلَمْ يَأْخُذْهَا أَوْ وَحَّشَ بِهَا قَالَ وَأَتَاهُ آخَرُ فَأَمَرَ لَهُ بِتَمْرَةٍ قَالَ فَقَالَ سُبْحَانَ اللهِ تَمْرَةٌ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ فَقَالَ لِلْجَارِيَةِ اذْهَبِي إِلَى أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ فَأَعْطِيهِ الْأَرْبَعِينَ دِرْهَمًا الَّتِي عِنْدَهَا  

ahmad:12575Aswad > al-Ḥasan b. Ṣāliḥ > Khālid b. al-Fazar > Anas

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Verily, mixing dates with raisins is prohibited and mixing dates with unripe dates is prohibited."  

أحمد:١٢٥٧٥حَدَّثَنَا أَسْوَدُ حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ الْفَزَرِ عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَلَا إِنَّ الْمُزَّاتِ حَرَامٌ وَالْمُزَّاتُ خَلْطُ التَّمْرِ وَالْبُسْرِ

[Machine] I saw at Anas ibn Malik's place a cup that belonged to the Prophet ﷺ , in which there was a silver lining.

ahmad:12578Hāshim b. al-Qāsim > Jasr > Thābit > Anas b. Mālik

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Blessed are those who believe in me and have seen me once, and blessed are those who believe in me and have not seen me seven times."  

أحمد:١٢٥٧٨حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا جَسْرٌ عَنْ ثَابِتٍ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ طُوبَى لِمَنْ آمَنَ بِي وَرَآنِي مَرَّةً وَطُوبَى لِمَنْ آمَنَ بِي وَلَمْ يَرَنِي سَبْعَ مِرَارٍ  

ahmad:12579Hāshim b. al-Qāsim > Jasr > Thābit > Anas b. Mālik

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "I wish to meet my brothers." The companions of the Prophet ﷺ said, "Are we not your brothers?" He replied, "You are my companions, but my brothers are those who have believed in me without seeing me."  

أحمد:١٢٥٧٩حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ حَدَّثَنَا جَسْرٌ عَنْ ثَابِتٍ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَدِدْتُ أَنِّي لَقِيتُ إِخْوَانِي قَالَ فَقَالَ أَصْحَابُ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَوَلَيْسَ نَحْنُ إِخْوَانَكَ؟ قَالَ أَنْتُمْ أَصْحَابِي وَلَكِنْ إِخْوَانِي الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا بِي وَلَمْ يَرَوْنِي  

ahmad:12580ʿAbdullāh b. Bakr Abū Wahb > Sinān b. Rabīʿah > al-Ḥaḍramī > Anas b. Mālik

[Machine] A woman came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "O Messenger of Allah, I have a daughter who possesses such beauty and attractiveness that I preferred you over her. He replied, "I have accepted her and she continues to praise her until she mentioned that she has never experienced any physical ailment or complaint. He said, "I have no need for your daughter."  

أحمد:١٢٥٨٠حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ بَكْرٍ أَبُو وَهْبٍ حَدَّثَنَا سِنَانُ بْنُ رَبِيعَةَ عَنِ الْحَضْرَمِيِّ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ

أَنَّ امْرَأَةً أَتَتِ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ ابْنَةٌ لِي كَذَا وَكَذَا ذَكَرَتْ مِنْ حُسْنِهَا وَجَمَالِهَا فَآثَرْتُكَ بِهَا فَقَالَ قَدْ قَبِلْتُهَا فَلَمْ تَزَلْ تَمْدَحُهَا حَتَّى ذَكَرَتْأَنَّهَا لَمْ تَصْدَعْ وَلَمْ تَشْتَكِ شَيْئًا قَطُّ قَالَ لَا حَاجَةَ لِي فِي ابْنَتِكِ  

ahmad:12581Yaḥyá b. Isḥāq > Ibn Lahīʿah > Bakr b. Sawādah > Abū Ḥamzah al-Khawlānī > Anas b. Mālik

[Machine] Narrated by the Prophet that he came to us and said, "Indeed, among you there is someone better than you, meaning the Messenger of Allah, and you recite the Book of Allah. Amongst you there are those with red, white, Arab, and non-Arab skin. There will come a time when they will recite the Quran, seeking worldly gains from it, just as the vessel is hurriedly and haphazardly dipped into the bucket, not giving it time for proper immersion."  

أحمد:١٢٥٨١حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ عَنْ بَكْرِ بْنِ سَوَادَةَ عَنْ أَبِي حَمْزَةَ الْخَوْلَانِيِّ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ خَرَجَ إِلَيْنَا فَقَالَ إِنَّ فِيكُمْ خَيْرًا مِنْكُمْ يَعْنِي رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ وَتَقْرَءُونَ كِتَابَ اللهِ فِيكُمُ الْأَحْمَرُ وَالْأَبْيَضُ وَالْعَرَبِيُّ وَالْعَجَمِيُّ وَسَيَأْتِي زَمَانٌ يَقْرَءُونَ فِيهِ الْقُرْآنَ يَتَثَقَّفُونَهُ كَمَا يَتَثَقَّفُ الْقَدَحُ يَتَعَجَّلُونَ أُجُورَهُمْ وَلَا يَتَأَجَّلُونَهَا  

ahmad:12582Yaḥyá b. Isḥāq > Yaḥyá b. Ayyūb > Ḥumayd Qālasamiʿt Anas b. Mālik

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Tomorrow, a group will come before you who have the softest hearts towards Islam among you." He then said, "The Ash'ariyyun will be the first among them, and Abu Musa al-Ash'ari will be with them." When they approached the city, they began reciting, "Tomorrow, we will meet our beloved Muhammad and his party." Once they arrived, they greeted each other and they were the first to introduce the handshake.  

أحمد:١٢٥٨٢حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَيُّوبَ عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ قَالَسَمِعْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ يَقُولُ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَقْدَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ غَدًا أَقْوَامٌ هُمْ أَرَقُّ قُلُوبًا لِلْإِسْلَامِ مِنْكُمْ قَالَ فَقَدِمَ الْأَشْعَرِيُّونَ فِيهِمْ أَبُو مُوسَى الْأَشْعَرِيُّ فَلَمَّا دَنَوْا مِنَ الْمَدِينَةِ جَعَلُوا يَرْتَجِزُونَ يَقُولُونَ[البحر الرجز]غَدًا نَلْقَى الْأَحِبَّهْ مُحَمَّدًا وَحِزْبَهْفَلَمَّا أَنْ قَدِمُوا تَصَافَحُوا فَكَانُوا هُمْ أَوَّلَ مَنْ أَحْدَثَ الْمُصَافَحَةَ  

ahmad:12583al-Ḥakam b. Mūsá > Abū ʿAbd al-Raḥman ʿAbdullāh And Samiʿtuh > from al-Ḥakam b. Mūsá > ʿAbd al-Raḥman b. Abū al-Rijāl > Nubayṭ b. ʿUmar > Anas b. Mālik

[Machine] On the authority of Nubayt ibn Umar, who reported on the authority of Anas ibn Malik, who reported on the authority of the Prophet ﷺ that he said: "Whoever prays forty prayers in my mosque, he will not miss a prayer that will be recorded for him as a pardon from the Hellfire, protection from punishment, and freedom from hypocrisy."  

أحمد:١٢٥٨٣حَدَّثَنَا الْحَكَمُ بْنُ مُوسَى قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَبْدُ اللهِ وَسَمِعْتُهُ أَنَا مِنَ الْحَكَمِ بْنِ مُوسَى حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ أَبِي الرِّجَالِ

عَنِ نُبَيْطِ بْنِ عُمَرَ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ قَالَ مَنْ صَلَّى فِي مَسْجِدِي أَرْبَعِينَ صَلَاةً لَا يَفُوتُهُ صَلَاةٌ كُتِبَتْ لَهُ بَرَاءَةٌ مِنَ النَّارِ وَنَجَاةٌ مِنَ الْعَذَابِ وَبَرِئَ مِنَ النِّفَاقِ

The supplication made between the adhan and the iqamah is not rejected. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 521)   

أحمد:١٢٥٨٤حَدَّثَنَا أَسْوَدُ وَحُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ بُرَيْدِ بْنِ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِنَّ الدُّعَاءَ لَا يُرَدُّ بَيْنَ الْأَذَانِ وَالْإِقَامَةِ فَادْعُوا  

ahmad:12585Aswad b. ʿĀmir > Yūnus / Ibn Abū Isḥāq > Burayd b. Abū Maryam > Anas b. Mālik

“Whoever asks for Paradise, three times, Paradise will say: “O Allah, admit him to Paradise.” And whoever asked to be saved from Hell, three times, Hell will say: “O Allah, save him from Hell.” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 4340)   

أحمد:١٢٥٨٥حَدَّثَنَا أَسْوَدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ أَخْبَرَنَا يُونُسُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ بُرَيْدِ بْنِ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَا سَأَلَ رَجُلٌ مُسْلِمٌ اللهَ الْجَنَّةَ ثَلَاثًا إِلَّا قَالَتِ الْجَنَّةُ اللهُمَّ أَدْخِلْهُ الْجَنَّةَ وَلَا اسْتَجَارَ مِنَ النَّارِ مُسْتَجِيرٌ ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ إِلَّا قَالَتِ النَّارُ اللهُمَّ أَجِرْهُ مِنَ النَّارِ

[Machine] I entered with the Prophet ﷺ to visit Zaid bin Arqam while he complained of his eye. The Prophet ﷺ said to him, "O Zaid, if your sight was intact, what would you have done?" Zaid replied, "Then I would have been patient and sought reward from Allah." The Prophet ﷺ said, "If your sight was intact and you were patient and sought reward, you would have met Allah without any sin."  

أحمد:١٢٥٨٦حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ عَنْ جَابِرٍ عَنْ خَيْثَمَةَ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ

دَخَلْتُ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ نَعُودُ زَيْدَ بْنَ أَرْقَمَ وَهُوَ يَشْتَكِي عَيْنَهُ فَقَالَ لَهُ يَا زَيْدُ لَوْ كَانَ بَصَرُكَ لِمَا بِهِ كَيْفَ كُنْتَ تَصْنَعُ؟ قَالَ إِذًا أَصْبِرَ وَأَحْتَسِبَ قَالَ إِنْ كَانَ بَصَرُكَ لِمَا بِهِ ثُمَّ صَبَرْتَ وَاحْتَسَبْتَ لَتَلْقَيَنَّ اللهَ وَلَيْسَ لَكَ ذَنْبٌ

[Machine] "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ would hear the crying of a child with his mother while he was praying, so he would recite a short surah."  

أحمد:١٢٥٨٧حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ثَابِتٌ الْبُنَانِيُّ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَسْمَعُ بُكَاءَ الصَّبِيِّ مَعَ أُمِّهِ وَهُوَ فِي الصَّلَاةِ فَيَقْرَأُ بِالسُّورَةِ الْخَفِيفَةِ قَالَ جَعْفَرٌ أَوْ بِالسُّورَةِ الْقَصِيرَةِ

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever desires that Allah increases his provision and extends his lifespan, then he should maintain good relations with his relatives."  

أحمد:١٢٥٨٨حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ حَدَّثَنَا مُسْلِمٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ خَالِدٍعَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي حُسَيْنٍ الْمَكِّيِّ الْقُرَشِيِّ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ سَرَّهُ أَنْ يُعَظِّمَ اللهُ رِزْقَهُ وَأَنْ يَمُدَّ فِي أَجَلِهِ فَلْيَصِلْ رَحِمَهُ  

ahmad:12589Yaḥyá b. Ghaylān > Rishdīn > ʿAmr b. al-Ḥārith > Bukayr > al-Ḍaḥḥāk al-Qurashī > Anas b. Mālik

[Machine] I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ during a journey praying eight rak'ahs of Duha prayer. When he finished, he said, "Indeed, I prayed a voluntary prayer out of desire and fear. I asked my Lord three times, and He gave me two and denied me one. I asked Him not to afflict my Ummah with famine for three years, not to make their enemies triumph over them, and not to make the Ummah divided into sects. He granted the first two requests but denied the last one."  

أحمد:١٢٥٨٩حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ غَيْلَانَ حَدَّثَنَا رِشْدِينُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ الْحَارِثِ عَنْ بُكَيْرٍ عَنِ الضَّحَّاكِ الْقُرَشِيِّ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ

رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فِي سَفَرٍ صَلَّى سُبْحَةَ الضُّحَى ثَمَانِ رَكَعَاتٍ فَلَمَّا انْصَرَفَ قَالَ إِنِّي صَلَّيْتُ صَلَاةَ رَغْبَةٍ وَرَهْبَةٍ سَأَلْتُ رَبِّي ﷻ ثَلَاثًا فَأَعْطَانِي اثْنَتَيْنِ وَمَنَعَنِي وَاحِدَةً سَأَلْتُهُ أَنْ لَا يَبْتَلِيَ أُمَّتِي بِالسِّنِينَ وَلَا يُظْهِرَ عَلَيْهِمْ عَدُوَّهُمْ فَفَعَلَ وَسَأَلْتُهُ أَنْ لَا يَلْبِسَهُمْ شِيَعًا فَأَبَى عَلَيَّ

[Machine] "To the Prophet ﷺ , I love so-and-so for the sake of Allah. He said, 'Did you inform him?' The person said, 'No.' The Prophet ﷺ said, 'Inform him that I love him for the sake of Allah.' The person then went and said to him, 'Know that I love you for the sake of Allah.' The person replied to him, 'May the One whom you love me for His sake also love you.' And Khalaf said in his narration, 'So he met him.'"  

أحمد:١٢٥٩٠حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنٌ وَخَلَفُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا الْمُبَارَكُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي ثَابِتٌ الْبُنَانِيُّ أَخْبَرَنِي أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ أَنَّ رَجُلًا قَالَ

لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ إِنِّي أُحِبُّفُلَانًا فِي اللهِ قَالَ فَأَخْبَرْتَهُ؟ قَالَ لَا قَالَ فَأَخْبِرْهُ فَقَالَ تَعْلَمُ أَنِّي أُحِبُّكَ فِي اللهِ قَالَ فَقَالَ لَهُ فَأَحَبَّكَ الَّذِي أَحْبَبْتَنِي لَهُ وَقَالَ خَلَفٌ فِي حَدِيثِهِ فَلَقِيَهُ
