Where have you come from? They say: We come from Thine servants upon the earth who had been glorifying Thee (reciting Subhan Allah), uttering Thine Greatness (saying Allah o-Akbar) and uttering Thine Oneness (La ilaha ill Allah) and praising Thee (uttering al-Hamdu Lillah) and begging of Thee. Be would say: What do they beg of Me? They would say: They beg of Thee the Paradise of Thine. He (God) would say: Have they seen My Paradise? They said: No, our Lord. He would say: (What it would be then) if they were to see Mine Paradise? They (the angels) said: They seek Thine protection. He (the Lord) would say: Against what do they seek protection of Mine? They (the angels) would say: Our Lord, from the Hell-Fire. He (the Lord) would say: Have they seen My Fire? They would say: No. He (the Lord) would say: What it would be if they were to see My Fire? They would say: They beg of Thee forgiveness. He would say: I grant pardon to them, and confer upon them what they ask for and grant them protection against which they seek protection. They (the angels) would again say: Our Lord, there is one amongst them such and such simple servant who happened to pass by (that assembly) and sat there along with them (who had been participating in that assembly). He (the Lord) would say: I also grant him pardon, for they are a people the seat-fellows of whom are in no way unfortunate. (Using translation from Muslim 2689)

[Machine] On the authority of the Prophet ﷺ , he said, "Whoever possesses wealth but does not pay its Zakat, on the Day of Judgment his wealth will be brought forth and used to brand his forehead, sides, and back with fiery plates from the Hellfire, so that Allah may pass judgment among His servants on a day which is as long as fifty thousand years of your counting. Then his path will become clear, either leading to Paradise or leading to the Fire. And whoever possesses camels but does not pay their Zakat, on the Day of Judgment his camels will be brought forth and trample him with their hooves in a sandy plain. Every time the last of them passes by, the first of them will return to start over, until Allah passes judgment among His servants on a day which is as long as fifty thousand years of your counting. Then his path will become clear, either leading to Paradise or leading to the Fire. And whoever possesses sheep but does not pay their Zakat, on the Day of Judgment his sheep will be brought forth and trample him with their hooves in a sandy plain. Every time the last of them passes by, the first of them will return to start over, until Allah passes judgment among His servants on a day which is as long as fifty thousand years of your counting. Then his path will become clear, either leading to Paradise or leading to the Fire." It was said, "O Messenger of Allah, what about the horses?" He said, "The horses are tethered to their reins, and they bring rewards to a man as well as serve as protection or burden for a man. As for the one who takes care of them and keeps them in the cause of Allah, he will gain rewards for every hair they possess, even if it be the size of a speck or two specks. And if a river presents itself to him and he drinks from it, he will gain rewards for every drop contained in his belly. It was mentioned that he will gain rewards even for the urine and dung of the animals. As for the one who uses them for vanity, abuse, and to show off to people, he will bear the sins and faults attributed to them in their hardships and ease."

[Machine] Abu Huraira was on a journey and when they stopped, they sent a message to him while he was praying to get some food. He said to the messengers, "I am fasting." When the food was brought and they were about to finish, he came and started eating. The people looked at their messenger and he said, "What are you looking at? He informed me that he is fasting." Abu Huraira said, "He spoke the truth, for I have heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, 'Fasting for the month of patience and three days of each month is equal to fasting for the entire year.' I have indeed fasted three days of each month, and although I am breaking my fast with the food provided by Allah, I am still fasting between the two meals."

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "Among the Children of Israel, there was a man called Jurayj who used to worship in a monastery. One day, his mother came to him and called him. He said, 'O Jurayj, what is it? What is more honorable for me to do? Pray or listen to my mother?' He chose to continue with his prayer. She called him again and again, saying the same thing. He kept choosing prayer over his mother. So she said, 'O Allah, do not cause him to die until he sees the life of prostitutes.' She used to take care of sheep for her family and then she would return to her cell in the monastery. She committed adultery and became pregnant. When they asked her, 'Who is responsible for this?' She said it was Jurayj, the owner of the monastery. They brought knives and tools and said, 'O Jurayj, come out, there is a dispute.' He refused to come out and continued with his prayer. So they destroyed the monastery. When Jurayj saw this, he came out and they put a rope around his and the adulterous woman's necks, parading them in front of the people. He placed his finger on her stomach and asked, 'Child, who is your father?' She replied, 'My father is so-and-so, the shepherd.' They kissed him and said, 'If you wish, we will rebuild your monastery with gold and silver.' He said, 'No, rebuild it as it was before.'"
