[Machine] From the Prophet ﷺ, he said, "These are the days of tawaf." Abu Awana said, meaning the days of Tashriq.
عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ هُنَّ أَيَّامُ طُعْمٍ قَالَ أَبُو عَوَانَةَ يَعْنِي أَيَّامَ التَّشْرِيقِ
[Machine] From the Prophet ﷺ, he said, "These are the days of tawaf." Abu Awana said, meaning the days of Tashriq.
عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ هُنَّ أَيَّامُ طُعْمٍ قَالَ أَبُو عَوَانَةَ يَعْنِي أَيَّامَ التَّشْرِيقِ
[Machine] It was said, "O Messenger of Allah, what is Al-Tayarah?" He said, "No bird (i.e. superstitious belief in bad omens based on the flight of birds). Say good words instead."
قِيلَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ مَا الطِّيَرَةُ؟ قَالَ لَا طَائِرَ ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتِ وَقَالَ خَيْرُ الْفَأْلِ الْكَلِمَةُ الطَّيِّبَةُ
[Machine] On the authority of the Prophet ﷺ, he said, "When one of you hears the adhan, let tranquility settle upon him. Whatever part of the prayer he catches, let him pray it, and whatever part he misses, let him complete it."
عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا سَمِعَ أَحَدُكُمُ الْإِقَامَةَ فَلْيَأْتِ عَلَيْهِ السَّكِينَةُ فَمَا أَدْرَكَ فَلْيُصَلِّ وَمَا فَاتَهُ فَلْيُتِمَّ
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ cursed the one who bribes and the one who takes bribe. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 3580)
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَعَنَ اللهُ الرَّاشِيَ وَالْمُرْتَشِيَ فِي الْحُكْمِ
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "When one of you desires something, let him consider what he wishes for, for he does not know what is written for him in his wish."
عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا تَمَنَّى أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَنْظُرْ مَا الَّذِي يَتَمَنَّى فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَدْرِي مَا الَّذِي يُكْتَبُ لَهُ مِنْ أُمْنِيَّتِهِ
[Machine] "From the Prophet ﷺ , he said, 'Indeed, Uhud is a mountain that loves us and we love it.' Abdullaah said, 'My father asked about it, and he was told that all of it is in these four [directions].' He said, 'Umar ibn abi Salama narrated to us.'"
عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ إِنَّ أُحُدًا هَذَا جَبَلٌ يُحِبُّنَا وَنُحِبُّهُ قَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ قَالَ أَبِي فِيهَا كُلِّهَا فِي هَذِهِ الْأَرْبَعَةِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ
that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Trim the mustache and leave the beard to grow." (Using translation from Tirmidhī 2763)
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ خُذُوا مِنَ الشَّوَارِبِوَأَعْفُوا اللِّحَى
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , said, "They will continue to ask until it is said, 'This is Allah, who created us. So who created Allah?'" Abu Huraira said, "By Allah, one day I was sitting when a man from the people of Iraq asked me, 'Who created us? So who created Allah?' I placed my finger in my ear, then I regained my senses and said, 'Allah and His Messenger speak the truth. Allah is the One, the Eternal, who neither begets nor is born, and there is none comparable or equal to Him."
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَا يَزَالُونَ يَسْأَلُونَ حَتَّى يُقَالُ هَذَا اللهُ خَلَقَنَا فَمَنْ خَلَقَ اللهَ ﷻ؟ قَالَ فَقَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ فَوَاللهِ إِنِّي لَجَالِسٌ يَوْمًا إِذْ قَالَ لِي رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْعِرَاقِ هَذَا اللهُ خَلَقَنَا فَمَنْ خَلَقَ اللهَ ﷻ؟ قَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ فَجَعَلْتُ أُصْبُعَيَّ فِي أُذُنَيَّ ثُمَّ صِحْتُ فَقُلْتُ صَدَقَ اللهُ وَرَسُولُهُ اللهُ الْوَاحِدُ الصَّمَدُ لَمْ يَلِدْ وَلَمْ يُولَدْ وَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ كُفُوًا أَحَدٌ
Allah is self-respecting and a believer is also self-respecting and the respect of Allah is injured if a believer does what He has forbidden him to do. (Using translation from Muslim 2761a)
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ إِنَّ اللهَ ﷻ يَغَارُ وَمِنْ غَيْرَةِ اللهِ أَنْ يَأْتِيَ الْمُؤْمِنُ مَا حُرِّمَ عَلَيْهِ
When anyone wipes himself with pebbles (after answering the call of nature) he should do this odd number of times. (Using translation from Muslim 239)
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا اسْتَجْمَرَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيُوتِرْ
[Machine] On the authority of the Prophet ﷺ who said: "If a slave remains and says once 'When the slave steals, sell him even if it is for a piece of rope, and the rope is half a Uqiyyah."
عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا أَبَقَ الْعَبْدُ وَقَالَ مَرَّةً إِذَا سَرَقَ الْعَبْدُ فَبِعْهُ وَلَوْ بِنَشٍّ وَالنَّشُّ نِصْفُ الْأُوقِيَّةِ
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ cursed the one who bribes and the one who takes bribe. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 3580)
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَعَنَ اللهُ الرَّاشِيَ وَالْمُرْتَشِيَ فِي الْحُكْمِ
[Machine] "Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said: There are three rights that every Muslim owes to another Muslim, which are visiting the sick, attending funerals, and saying 'Bless you' when someone sneezes and praises Allah."
عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ ثَلَاثٌ كُلُّهُنَّ حَقٌّ عَلَى كُلِّ مُسْلِمٍ عِيَادَةُ الْمَرِيضِ وَشُهُودُ الْجِنَازَةِ وَتَشْمِيتُ الْعَاطِسِ إِذَا حَمِدَ اللهَ ﷻ
[Machine] From the Prophet ﷺ , he said: "Indeed, the majority of the torment of the grave is due to urine."
عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ إِنَّ أَكْثَرَ عَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ فِي الْبَوْلِ
The Prophet ﷺ said: He who does not thank the people is not thankful to Allah. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4811)
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ لَا يَشْكُرُ اللهَ مَنْ لَا يَشْكُرُ النَّاسَ
Quraish, Ansar, Muzaina, Juhaina and Ghifar, they are my friends and there is no friend of theirs besides Allah and His Messenger. (Using translation from Muslim 2520a)
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ قُرَيشٌ وَالْأَنْصَارُ وَأَسْلَمُ وَغِفَارٌ وَمُزَيْنَةُ وَجُهَيْنَةُ وَأَشْجَعُ مَوَالِيَّ لَيْسَ لَهُمْ دُونَ اللهِ وَلَا رَسُولِهِ مَوْلًى
[Machine] From the Prophet ﷺ and from Habib ibn Al-Shahid, from Muhammad ibn Sirin, from Abu Hurairah, from the Prophet ﷺ who said: "If a fly falls into one of your containers, immerse it in it, for indeed in one of its wings there is a disease, and in the other wing there is a cure." And Affan said once: "Indeed, in one of its wings there is..."
عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ وَعَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ الشَّهِيدِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا وَقَعَ الذُّبَابُ فِي إِنَاءِ أَحَدِكُمْ فَلْيَغْمِسْهُ فَإِنَّ فِي أَحَدِ جَنَاحَيْهِ دَاءً وَالْآخَرِ دَوَاءً وَقَالَ عَفَّانُ مَرَّةً فَإِنَّ أَحَدَ جَنَاحَيْهِ
[Machine] A person used to regularly pray in the mosque and when they died, the Prophet ﷺ missed their presence. He asked, "What happened to the person who used to pray in the mosque?" They informed him that the person had passed away. The Prophet ﷺ said, "Why didn't you inform me? You should have informed me." They replied, "It was during the night." The Prophet ﷺ said, "Show me their grave." He went to the grave and prayed for them, then said, "It is confirmed through this incident, or in another narration, that these graves are filled with darkness upon its inhabitants, and Allah ﷻ illuminates them with my prayers for them."
أَنَّ إِنْسَانًا كَانَ يَقُمُّ الْمَسْجِدَ أَسْوَدَ فمَاتَ أَوْ مَاتَتْ فَفَقَدَهَا النَّبِيُّ ﷺ فَقَالَ مَا فَعَلَ الْإِنْسَانُ الَّذِي كَانَ يَقُمُّ الْمَسْجِدَ؟ قَالَ فَقِيلَ لَهُ مَاتَ قَالَ فَهَلَّا آذَنْتُمُونِي بِهِ؟ فَقَالُوا إِنَّهُ كَانَ لَيْلًا قَالَ فَدُلُّونِي عَلَى قَبْرِهَا قَالَ فَأَتَى الْقَبْرَ فَصَلَّى عَلَيْهَاقَالَ ثَابِتٌ عِنْدَ ذَاكَ أَوْ فِي حَدِيثٍ آخَرَ إِنَّ هَذِهِ الْقُبُورَ مَمْلُوءَةٌ ظُلْمَةً عَلَى أَهْلِهَا وَإِنَّ اللهَ ﷻ يُنَوِّرُهَا بِصَلَاتِي عَلَيْهِمْ
[Machine] A man came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ while he was present and asked him, "O Prophet of Allah, which deeds are the best?" He replied, "Faith in Allah and striving in His cause." The man asked, "What if I am unable to do that?" He replied, "The greatest reward is freeing a slave, or giving oneself up for martyrdom." The man asked again, "What if I am unable to do that?" He replied, "Assist the weak, or do good to others." The man asked once more, "What if I am unable to do that?" He replied, "Refrain from doing evil, for it is a good deed by which you benefit yourself."
أَنَّ رَجُلًا أَتَى رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ وَهُوَ عِنْدَهُ فَسَأَلَهُ فَقَالَ يَا نَبِيَّ اللهِ أَيُّ الْأَعْمَالِ أَفْضَلُ؟ قَالَ الْإِيمَانُ بِاللهِ وَالْجِهَادُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ قَالَ فَإِنْ لَمْ أَسْتَطِعْ ذَاكَ؟ قَالَ فَأَيُّ الرِّقَابِ أَعْظَمُ أَجْرًا؟ قَالَ أَغْلَاهَا ثَمَنًا وَأَنْفَسُهَا عِنْدَ أَهْلِهَا قَالَ فَإِنْ لَمْ أَسْتَطِعْ؟ قَالَ قَوِّمْ ضَائِعًا أَوِ اصْنَعْ لِأَخْرَقَ قَالَ فَإِنْ لَمْ أَسْتَطِعْ ذَاكَ؟ قَالَ فَاحْبِسْ نَفْسَكَ عَنِ الشَّرِّ فَإِنَّه صَدَقَةٌ حَسَنَةٌ تَصَدَّقْ بِهَا عَلَى نَفْسِكَ
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "The star never shines in the morning, and a calamity befalls a person or is reduced from them."
عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ مَا طَلَعَ النَّجْمُ صَبَاحًا قَطُّ وَتَقُومُ عَاهَةٌ إِلَّا رُفِعَتْ عَنْهُمْ أَوْ خَفَّتْ
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ heard a sound that surprised him, so he said, "We have received, so what's wrong with you?"
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ سَمِعَ صَوْتًا فَأَعْجَبَهُ فَقَالَ قَدْ أَخَذْنَا فَأْلَكَ مِنْ فِيكَ
[Machine] Abdulrahman, the servant of Umm Burthun, narrated from Abu Huraira that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Allah has made Friday a prescribed day for those before us, but they differed regarding it. Allah has guided us to it, so the people are followers for us on it. The Jews have Saturday, and the Christians have Sunday.
أَنَّ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ مَوْلَى أُمِّ بُرْثُنٍ حَدَّثَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ كَتَبَ اللهُ الْجُمُعَةَ عَلَى مَنْ كَانَ قَبْلَنَا فَاخْتَلَفُوا فِيهَا وَهَدَانَا اللهُ لَهَا فَالنَّاسُ لَنَا فِيهَا تَبَعٌ فَلِلْيَهُودِ غَدًا وَلِلنَّصَارَى بَعْدَ غَدٍ
[Machine] From the Prophet ﷺ, he said, "Do not make your houses graveyards, for surely the devil flees from the house in which Al-Baqarah is recited."
عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ لَا تَجْعَلُوا بُيُوتَكُمْ مَقَابِرَ فَإِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ يَفِرُّ مِنَ الْبَيْتِ الَّذِي تُقْرَأُ فِيهِ الْبَقَرَةُ
[Machine] From the Prophet ﷺ, he said: "When you speak on the day of Friday, you have indulged in idle talk and wasted your time."
عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قال إِذَا تَكَلَّمْتَ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ فَقَدْ لَغَوْتَ وَأَلْغَيْتَ
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever unjustly takes a handful of land, seven earths will be tied around his neck."
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ أَخَذَ شِبْرًا مِنَ الْأَرْضِ بِغَيْرِ حَقِّهِ طُوِّقَهُ مِنْ سَبْعِ أَرَضِينَ
The servant (who conceals) the faults of others in this world, Allah would conceal his faults on the Day of Resurrection. (Using translation from Muslim 2590b)
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ لَا يَسْتُرُ عَبْدٌ عَبْدًا فِي الدُّنْيَا إِلَّا سَتَرَهُ اللهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "Woe to the heels from the Fire on the Day of Judgment." Abdullah bin Ahmad said, "In it (the Fire) is all of them." Sohail narrated the same statement as my father said it.
أَنَّ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ وَيْلٌ لِلْأَعْقَابِ مِنَ النَّارِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ قَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ قَالَ فِيهَا كُلِّهَا حَدَّثَنَا سُهَيْلٌ هَكَذَا قَالَهَا أَبِي
When anyone amongst you stands up, and in the badltb transmitted on the authority of Abu 'Awina, the words are:" He who stands in his place and (goes away) and then comes back to it, he his the greatest right (to occupy that). (Using translation from Muslim 2179)
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا قَامَ أَحَدُكُمْ مِنْ مَجْلِسِهِ ثُمَّ رَجَعَ إِلَيْهِ فَهُوَ أَحَقُّ بِهِ
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ as saying: It is better that one of you should sit on the live coals which burns his clothing and come in contact with his skin than that he should sit on a grave. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 3228)
عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ لَأَنْ يَجْلِسَ أَحَدُكُمْ عَلَى جَمْرَةٍ فَتُحْرِقَ ثِيَابَهُ حَتَّى تَخْلُصَ إِلَيْهِ خَيْرٌ لُهُ مِنْ أَنْ يَطَأَ عَلَى قَبْرِ رَجُلٍ مُسْلِمٍ
The Messenger of Allah ate meat from the shoulder of a sheep, then he rinsed his mouth and washed his hands, then he prayed. (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 493)
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ أَكَلَ كَتِفَ شَاةٍ فَمَضْمَضَوَغَسَلَ يَدَهُ وَصَلَّى
[Machine] "That the Prophet ﷺ ate a few dates, then he performed ablution from it and then he prayed."
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ أَكَلَ أَثْوَارَ أَقِطٍ فَتَوَضَّأَ مِنْهُ ثم صَلَّى
Don't bear aversion against one another and don't be jealous of one another and be servants of Allah. (Using translation from Muslim 2563e)
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ لَا تَبَاغَضُوا وَلَا تَدَابَرُوا وَلَا تَنَافَسُوا وَكُونُوا عِبَادَ اللهِ إِخْوَانًا
[Machine] Narrated by the Prophet, ﷺ , he said, "Whenever a group gathers and disperses without mentioning the name of Allah, it is as if they have separated from the carcass of a dead donkey. And this gathering will be a source of regret for them."
عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ مَا اجْتَمَعَ قَوْمٌ فَتَفَرَّقُوا عَنْ غَيْرِ ذِكْرِ اللهِ إِلَّا كَأَنَّمَا تَفَرَّقُوا عَنْ جِيفَةِ حِمَارٍ وَكَانَ ذَلِكَ الْمَجْلِسُ عَلَيْهِمْ حَسْرَةً
[Machine] On the authority of the Prophet ﷺ, he said, "The doors of Heaven are opened every Monday and Thursday, and on that day, forgiveness is granted to every servant of Allah who does not associate anything with Him, except for a person who has animosity between him and his brother. It is said, 'Leave these two until they reconcile.'"
عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ تُفْتَحُ أَبْوَابُ السَّمَاءِ كُلَّ يَوْمِ اثْنَيْنِ وَخَمِيسٍ فَيُغْفَرُ ذَلِكَ الْيَوْمَ لِكُلِّ عَبْدٍ لَا يُشْرِكُ بِاللهِ شَيْئًا إِلَّا امْرَأً كَانَ بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ أَخِيهِ شَحْنَاءُ فَيُقَالُ أَنْظِرُوا هَذَيْنِ حَتَّى يَصْطَلِحَا
[Machine] From the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ : "Verily, the religion began as something strange and it will return as something strange. So blessed are the strangers."
عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ إِنَّ الدِّينَ بَدَأَ غَرِيبًا وَسَيَعُودُ الدِّينُ كَمَا بَدَأَ فَطُوبَى لِلْغُرَبَاءِ
“This world is a prison for the believer and a paradise for the disbeliever.’” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 4113)
عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ الدُّنْيَا سِجْنُ الْمُؤْمِنِ وَجَنَّةُ الْكَافِرِ
There is no disease for which Nigella seed does not provide remedy. (Using translation from Muslim 2215c)
عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ مَا مِنْ دَاءٍ إِلَّا فِي الْحَبَّةِ السَّوْدَاءِ مِنْهُ شِفَاءٌ إِلَّا السَّامُ
"The parable of the miser and the one who gives in charity is that of two men wearing coats of mail with their hands tied to their collarbones. Every time the one who gives thinks of giving in charity, the (coat of mail) expands until it obliterates his traces, and every time the miser thinks of giving charity, every circle (of the coat of mail) contracts and sticks to him, and his hand is tied up to his collarbones." I heard the Messenger of Allah say: "He tries to expand it, but he cannot." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2548)
عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ مَثَلُ الْبَخِيلِ وَالْمُتَصَدِّقِ مَثَلُ رَجُلَيْنِ عَلَيْهِمَا جُنَّتَانِ مِنْ حَدِيدٍ قَدِ اضْطُرَّتْ أَيْدِيهِمَا إِلَى تَرَاقِيهِمَا فَكُلَّمَا هَمَّ الْمُتَصَدِّقُ بِصَدَقَةٍ اتَّسَعَتْ عَلَيْهِ حَتَّى تُعَفِّيَ أَثَرَهُ وَكُلَّمَا هَمَّ الْبَخِيلُ بِصَدَقَةٍ انْقَبَضَتْ عَلَيْهِ كُلُّ حَلْقَةٍ مِنْهَا إِلَى صَاحِبَتِهَا وَتَقَلَّصَتْ عَلَيْهِ قَالَ فَسَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَعْنِي يَقُولُ فَيَجْهَدُ أَنْ يُوَسِّعَهَا فَلَا تَتَّسِعُ
[Machine] They said, "O Messenger of Allah, will we see our Lord on the Day of Resurrection?" He said, "Do you not see the sun in the middle of the day without a cloud in the sky?" They said, "Yes." He said, "Do you not see the moon on a full moon night without a cloud in the sky?" They said, "Yes." He said, "By Him in whose hand is my soul, you will see Allah and you will not be harmed in seeing Him, just as you are not harmed in seeing either of them."
قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَنَرَى رَبَّنَا ﷻ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ؟ قَالَ هَلْ تَرَوْنَ الشَّمْسَ بِنِصْفِ النَّهَارِ لَيْسَ فِي السَّمَاءِ سَحَابَةٌ؟ قَالُوا نَعَمْ قَالَ هَلْ تَرَوْنَ الْقَمَرَ لَيْلَةَ الْبَدْرِ لَيْسَ فِي السَّمَاءِ سَحَابَةٌ؟ قَالُوا نَعَمْ قَالَ فَوَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ لَتَرَوُنَّ اللهَ ﷻ وَلَا تُضَارُّونَ فِي رُؤْيَتِهِ كَمَا لَا تُضَارُّونَ فِي رُؤْيَتِهِمَا
[Machine] From the Prophet ﷺ , he said, "Verily, the most frequent torture in the grave is due to urine."
عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ إِنَّ أَكْثَرَ عَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ مِنَ الْبَوْلِ
[Machine] "Regarding the Prophet's saying ﷺ : 'So ask him about the state of those women who cut their hands' [Surah Yusuf, 12:50], the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'If it were up to me, I would have quickly given the answer and I would not have sought an excuse.'"
عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فِي قَوْلِهِ ﷻ {فَاسْأَلْهُ مَا بَالُ النِّسْوَةِ اللَّاتِي قَطَّعْنَ أَيْدِيَهُنَّ} [يوسف 50] فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَوْ كُنْتُ أَنَا لَأَسْرَعْتُ الْإِجَابَةَ وَمَا ابْتَغَيْتُ الْعُذْرَ
the Messenger of Allah said: “Charity is not permissible for a rich person, or for one who is strong and healthy. ” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 1839)
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَا تَحِلُّ الصَّدَقَةُ لَغَنِيٍّ وَلَا لِذِي مِرَّةٍ سَوِيٍّ
“Richness is not an abundance of worldly goods, rather richness is contentment with one’s lot.” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 4137)
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَيْسَ الْغِنَى عَنْ كَثْرَةِ الْعَرَضِ وَلَكِنَّ الْغِنَى غِنَى النَّفْسِ
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said that Jibril ﷺ came to me yesterday and nothing prevented me from entering upon you except that there was a picture or a dog in the house.
أَتَى جِبْرِيلُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فقَالَ إِنِّي جِئْتُ الْبَارِحَةَ فَلَمْ يَمْنَعْنِي أَنْ أَدْخُلَ عَلَيْكَ إِلَّا أَنَّهُ كَانَ فِي الْبَيْتِ صُورَةٌ أَوْ كَلْبٌ
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "None of you will enter Paradise solely based on their deeds, nor will their deeds save them from the Fire, except through the mercy and grace of Allah." They asked, "Not even you, O Messenger of Allah?" He replied, "Not even me, unless Allah covers me with His mercy." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ also said, while pointing with his hand towards the sky and stretching it out.
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَا مِنْكُمْ مِنْ أَحَدٍ يُدْخِلُهُ عَمَلُهُ الْجَنَّةَ وَلَا يُنَجِّيهِ مِنَ النَّارِ إِلَّا بِرَحْمَةٍ مِنَ اللهِ وَفَضْلٍ قَالَ قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ وَلَا أَنْتَ؟ قَالَ وَلَا أَنَا إِلَّا أَنْ يَتَغَمَّدَنِي اللهُ مِنْهُ بِرَحْمَةٍ قَالَ وَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بِيَدِهِيَقْبِضُهَا وَيَبْسُطُهَا
[Machine] "He relaxed and he was wearing linen. When it passed, he said, 'I heard Abu Huraira say, 'I heard the Prophet ﷺ say: While a man was walking in his finery, impressed with himself, Allah caused the earth to swallow him up, and he will continue sinking into it until the Day of Resurrection.'"
إِنَّهُ اسْتَرْخَى وَإِنَّهُ مِنْ كَتَّانٍ فَلَمَّا مَضَى قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يَقُولُ بَيْنَمَا رَجُلٌ يَمْشِي فِي حُلَّةٍ لَهُ مُعْجَبًا بِنَفْسِهِ إِذْ خَسَفَ اللهُ بِهِ الْأَرْضَ فَهُوَ يَتَجَلْجَلُ فِيهَا إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ
[Machine] I did not migrate except that I found the Prophet ﷺ praying. He said, "So I prayed, then he asked, 'Did you have a stomachache?' I said, 'No.' He said, 'Then stand up and pray, for indeed, in prayer there is a cure.'"
مَا هَجَّرْتُ إِلَّا وَجَدْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يُصَلِّي قَالَ فَصَلَّى ثُمَّ قَالَ اشِكَمَتْ دَرْدْ؟ قَالَ قُلْتُ لَا قَالَ قُمْ فَصَلِّ فَإِنَّ فِي الصَّلَاةِ شِفَاءً
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , said, "The people of Medina will leave Medina, and it will be the best of what is moist and forbidding." It was asked, "Who will eat it?" He replied, "The birds and the wild beasts."
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَيَدَعَنَّ أَهْلُ الْمَدِينَةِ الْمَدِينَةَ وَهِيَ خَيْرُ مَا يَكُونُ مُرْطِبَةٌ مُونِعَةٌ فَقِيلَ فَمَنْ يَأْكُلُهَا؟ قَالَ الطَّيْرُ وَالسِّبَاعُ
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "This is the charity of my people, who are the most intense in their enmity towards the Dajjal (the false messiah), meaning the Banu Tamim tribe." Abu Huraira said, "No people among the living were more hateful to me than them, but I loved them since I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, 'This is'".
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ هَذِهِ صَدَقَةُ قَوْمِي وَهُمْ أَشَدُّ النَّاسِ عَلَى الدَّجَّالِ يَعْنِي بَنِي تَمِيمٍ قَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ مَا كَانَ قَوْمٌ مِنَ الْأَحْيَاءِ أَبْغَضُ إِلَيَّ مِنْهُمْ فَأَحْبَبْتُهُمْ مُنْذُ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ هَذَا
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "How excellent it is for the slave (servant) when he fulfills the right of Allah and the right of his slaves (subjects)."
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ نِعِمَّا لِلْمَمْلُوكِ إِذَا أَدَّى حَقَّ اللهِ وَحَقَّ مَوَالِيهِ
