Abu Hurayra reported that the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "Affliction will continue to trouble the believers, men and women, in their bodies, their families, and their property until they meet Allah Almighty purified of every wrong action."  

الأدب المفرد:٤٩٤حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا عَدِيُّ بْنُ عَدِيٍّ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ لاَ يَزَالُ الْبَلاَءُ بِالْمُؤْمِنِ وَالْمُؤْمِنَةِ فِي جَسَدِهِ وَأَهْلِهِ وَمَالِهِ حَتَّى يَلْقَى اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ وَمَا عَلَيْهِ خَطِيئَةٌ حدثنا محمد بن عبيد قال حدثنا عمر بن طلحة عن محمد بن عمرو مثله وزاد (في ولده)
