Abu Musa al-Ash'ari related that the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, was sitting in a walled garden on the rim of a well, dangling his feet into the well.

الأدب المفرد:١١٩٥حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ شَهِدَ عِنْدِي أَبُو سَلَمَةَ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ أَخْبَرَهُ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ نَافِعِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْحَارِثِ الْخُزَاعِيُّ أَنَّ أَبَا مُوسَى الأَشْعَرِيَّ أَخْبَرَهُ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ فِي حَائِطٍ عَلَى قُفِّ الْبِئْرِ مُدَلِّيًا رِجْلَيْهِ فِي الْبِئْرِ
