that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Indeed Allah loves sneezing and He dislikes the yawn. So when one of you sneezes and says 'Al-Hamdulillah (All praise is due to Allah),' then it is a right due from every one who hears him to say: 'Yarhamukallah (May Allah have mercy upon you)' As for yawning then when one of you yawns let him suppress it as much as possible and not say: "Hah Hah' for that is only from Ash-Shaitan laughing at him."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُحِبُّ الْعُطَاسَ وَيَكْرَهُ التَّثَاؤُبَ فَإِذَا عَطَسَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَقَالَ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ فَحَقٌّ عَلَى كُلِّ مَنْ سَمِعَهُ أَنْ يَقُولَ يَرْحَمُكَ اللَّهُ وَأَمَّا التَّثَاؤُبُ فَإِذَا تَثَاءَبَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَرُدَّهُ مَا اسْتَطَاعَ وَلاَ يَقُولَنَّ هَاهْ هَاهْ فَإِنَّمَا ذَلِكَ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ يَضْحَكُ مِنْهُ

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Indeed, Allah loves sneezing and dislikes or hates yawning. So when one of you says 'ha ha', that is only Shaytan laughing from within him."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِنَّ اللهَ يُحِبُّ الْعُطَاسَ وَيُبْغِضُ أَوْ يَكْرَهُ التَّثَاؤُبَ فَإِذَا قَالَ أَحَدُهُمْ هَا هَا فَإِنَّمَا ذَلِكَ الشَّيْطَانُ يَضْحَكُ مِنْ جَوْفِهِ

Allah likes sneezing but dislikes yawning. So when one of you yawns, he should restrain it as much as possible, and should not say Ha, Ha, for that is from the devil who laughs at him. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 5028)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ إِنَّ اللهَ يُحِبُّ الْعُطَاسَ وَيَكْرَهُ التَّثَاؤُبَ فَإِذَا تَثَاءَبَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَقَالَ هَاهْ فَإِنَّ ذَلِكَ شَيْطَانٌ يَضْحَكُ مِنْ جَوْفِهِ

that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Indeed Allah loves sneezing and He dislikes the yawn. قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُحِبُّ الْعُطَاسَ وَيَكْرَهُ التَّثَاؤُبَ فَإِذَا تَثَاءَبَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَرُدَّ مَا اسْتَطَاعَ وَلَا يَقُلْ هَاوْ فَإِنَّهُ إِذَا قَالَ هَاوْ ضَحِكَ مِنْهُ الشَّيْطَانُ فَإِذَا عَطَسَ أَحَدُكُمْ فقَالَ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ فَحَقٌّ عَلَى مَنْ سَمِعَهُ أَنْ يَقُولَ يَرْحَمُكَ اللَّهُ»

[Machine] From the Prophet ﷺ, he said, "Indeed, Allah loves the sneeze and dislikes yawning. So when one of you sneezes, let him control it as much as possible or let him cover his mouth with his hand. Because when one yawns, and says 'ahhh', it is only Shaytan who laughs from within him."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُحِبُّ الْعُطَاسَ وَيَكْرَهُ التَّثَاؤُبَ فَإِذَا تَثَاءَبَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَكْظِمْ مَا اسْتَطَاعَ أَوْ لِيَضَعَ يَدَهُ عَلَى فِيهِ فَإِنَّهُ إِذَا تَثَاءَبَ فَقَالَ آهْ فَإِنَّمَا هُوَ الشَّيْطَانُ يَضْحَكُ مِنْ جَوْفِهِ»

The Prophet ﷺ said, "Allah loves sneezing but dislikes yawning; so if anyone of you sneezes and then praises Allah, every Muslim who hears him (praising Allah) has to say Tashmit to him. But as regards yawning, it is from Satan, so if one of you yawns, he should try his best to stop it, for when anyone of you yawns, Satan laughs at him." (Using translation from Bukhārī 6226)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ إنَّ اللهَ يُحِبُّ الْعُطَاسَ وَيَكْرَهُ التَّثَاؤُبَ فَإِذَا عَطَسَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَقُلِ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ وَحَقٌّ عَلَى مَنْ سَمِعَهُ أَنْ يَقُولَ يَرْحَمُكَ اللهُ وَأَمَّا التَّثَاؤُبُ فَإِنَّمَا هُوَ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ فَإِذَا تَثَاءَبَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَرُدَّهُ مَا اسْتَطَاعَ فَإِنَّ أَحَدَكُمْ إِذَا تَثَاءَبَ فَقَالَ هَاهْ هَاهْ ضَحِكَ مِنْهُ الشَّيْطَانُ

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Sneezing is from Allah and yawning is from Satan. So, when one of you yawns, do not say 'Haah, haah,' for indeed Satan laughs in his belly."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ الْعُطَاسُ مِنَ اللهِ وَالتَّثَاؤُبُ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ فَإِذَا تَثَاءَبَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلَا يَقُلْ هَاهْ هَاهْ فَإِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ يَضْحَكُ فِي جَوْفِهِ

Abu Hurayra reported that the Prophet ﷺ said, "Allah loves sneezing and hates yawning. When one of you sneezes and praises Allah Almighty, it is a duty for every Muslim who hears him to say to him, 'May Allah have mercy on you.' Yawning comes from Shaytan. When one of you yawns, he should control it as much as possible. When a man says, 'Aawh!,' Shaytan laughs at him."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُحِبُّ الْعُطَاسَ وَيَكْرَهُ التَّثَاؤُبَ فَإِذَا عَطَسَ فَحَمِدَ اللَّهَ فَحَقٌّ عَلَى كُلِّ مُسْلِمٍ سَمِعَهُ أَنْ يُشَمِّتَهُ وَأَمَّا التَّثَاؤُبُ فَإِنَّمَا هُوَ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ فَلْيَرُدَّهُ مَا اسْتَطَاعَ فَإِذَا قَالَ هَاهْ ضَحِكَ مِنْهُ الشَّيْطَانُ

Abu Hurayra reported that the Prophet ﷺ said, "Allah loves the sneeze and dislikes yawning. عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُحِبُّ الْعُطَاسَ وَيَكْرَهُ التَّثَاؤُبَ وَإِذَا عَطَسَ أَحَدُكُمْ وَحَمِدَ اللَّهَ كَانَ حَقًّا عَلَى كُلِّ مُسْلِمٍ سَمِعَهُ أَنْ يَقُولَ يَرْحَمُكَ اللَّهُ فَأَمَّا التَّثَاؤُبُ فَإِنَّمَا هُوَ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ فَإِذَا تَثَاءَبَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَرُدَّهُ مَا اسْتَطَاعَ فَإِنَّ أَحَدَكُمْ إِذَا تَثَاءَبَ ضَحِكَ مِنْهُ الشَّيْطَانُ

اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم قال إن الله تبارك وتعالى يحب العطاس ويكره التثاؤب فإذا تثاءب أحدكم فإنما ذلك الشيطان يضحك من جوفه

"إِنَّ الله ﷻ يُحبُّ الْعُطَاسَ، ويَكْرَهُ التَّثاؤُبَ. فَإِذا تثاوبَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَليَكْظِمْ ما اسْتطَاع، أوْ ليَضَعْ يَدَهُ عَلَى فِيهِ فَإِذا تَثَاوَبَ فَقَال: آه. فَإِنَّما هو الشَّيطانُ يَضْحَكُ مِنْ جوْفه".

"الْعُطَاسُ من الله، والتَّثَاؤُب مِنَ الشيطان، فَإِذَا تثاءَبَ أحَدُكُم

فَلْيَضَع يَدَه على فيه، وإذا قال آه آه فإِنَّ الشيطانَ يَضْحَكُ من جَوْفِهِ، وإِن الله يُحِبُّ العُطَاسَ وَيكْرهُ التَّثاؤُب ".

"عن أبي هريرة قال: إنَّ الله -تَعَالَى- يُحبُ العطَاسَ ويَكْرَهُ التثاؤُبَ، فَإذَا قَال أحدُكُم: هاه هاه فإنَّمَا ذَلَك الشيطانُ يَضْحَكُ في جوفه".
